i'm packing for our trip which starts this friday. the weather forecast for our 5 day stay has highs about 80-84. i know we'll wear shorts during the day, and if we are going out to a nice dinner, we'll go back to our resort and change into capri pants, etc. will we be chilly the evenings we stay in the park all day? do you think we'll need to carry a light jacket or sweater to use at night? i'm trying to keep our bag for the parks light, but i don't want to be cold! thanks!!

I would carry a light weight sweater or jacket, it still can get a little chilly at night even though the days have been hitting 80. It would never hurt to have it, especially if there is a slight shower at night

bummer, i was hoping you'd say we wouldn't need it--we're trying to take in a smaller bag that wouldn't fit a sweater/jacket. anyone else familiar with florida weather this time of year...need a light jacket or sweater in the evening??

The most likely place you will be cold is inside. Some of the inside attractions and resorts can get frigid. I always have a sweater wrapped around my waist.

It's definitely been getting chilly in the parks at night, particularly the days it rains. Last week it poured when we were at Epcot, and I was literally shivering all the way through Illuminations. Especially if you're wearing shorts, I would definitely bring a light jacket...preferably waterproof, or at least a material that won't get soggy and gross if it gets wet. It's been raining a lot lately.

I agree that you will need a light jacket for the evenings. After the sun drops it can be quite chilly...we are experiancing 20 degree drops at night. If the wind picks up it gets quite chilly. If we are not going back to the resort we take sweatshirts and either tie them around waist or put in a locker. You wil be glad you have them!

depending on how you handle cold/chilly temps....since you live up north you may be able to handle the coolness...but being a native Floridian, it feels nippy to me anything 70 and under....I usually need a light jacket!!
