Packing for the first two weeks in June?

We'll be doing DL, Legoland, beaches of La Jolla, then moving into SD (Shelter Island) for visits to the Zoo and Seaworld. Will the weather vary much depending how inland we are? Are pants necessary to bring? If so, what ratio to summer clothes, i.e., how many pairs? I figured I'd bring a light jacket for each of us, just in case, so I can stick with short sleeves for shirts.

We've never been to southern CA before - we're very much inlanders with no idea how the ocean affects climate. We're getting so excited! Thanks.

From Carlsbad to San Diego, the weather is going to be nice a cool and cloudy in the AM, sunny yet nice during the day and nice and cool at night. The temps vary from 60s-80s. There rarely is a heat wave in June but the weather has been strange this year so far. The more inland you go, the hotter it is though. DL / Anaheim will be warm during the day and cool at night. Shorts is probably good and maybe it would be best to bring a pair of jeans just in case.

I think you would be good with one pair of jeans, and a jacket or sweatshirt just in case. You may need it in San Diego, but probably not at Disneyland.

Also depends on where you're coming from, are you used to cool or warm? Cause 'cold' to us so-cal natives is usually nice and warm for east-coasters!!

Anaheim is inland and usually warm in June. It may be cool in the early evening/night time, but a sweatshirt or light jacket would suffice. The ocean is not even close here, so no concerns there.

"June Gloom" is what we call the month of June here in San Diego. It is most often very gloomy in the morning, but not cold. In fact, the cloud cover keeps it kind of warm. Inland you may find the clouds disappear completely. I would pack with "warm" in mind, rather than cold.
