OK, so it's time to start packing. We will be down for 6 days/5 nights. The average temps are 80 for the high, 60 for the low.

I'm thinking shorts for the kids, capris for me (maybe a pair of shorts for just in case). Short sleeved shirts, with a sweatshirt for each of us for the early AMs and the evenings when it's colder.

I know when my kids go to school wearing shorts because it's gonna be in the 80s, they're fine in the AM when it's 60 with just a sweatshirt.

I thought I'd have them fly down in a pair of jeans, so they have them "just in case".

Does that sound like enough warmth? I mean, we can always buy a souvenier sweatshirt if it's really cold (that happened once when we were there in January and it suddenly got cold--we all just had light jackets, and my dad ended up buying a Mickey sweatshirt for each of us!)

TIA

my 2cents is to bring mittens, we have been a few years at this time and have purchased mittens for DD5 on MainSt in MK each time for parade watching, so........this time we are packing em, brilliant aint I :rotfl:

MITTENS?!?!?!?!? Surely you jest!:scared1:

60 degrees...mittens??? That's like bikini weather here! I always love going down when it's cooler and watching people in their winter jackets look at me like I'm crazy because I'm in the pool. Here tonight it was about 45 out, and I thought it was nice. Come talk to me about mittens when it's minus 40 out! :rotfl:

I'm from Southern California, 60 is freezing to me:rotfl: I usually bring gloves, jacket and scarf.

We were there in November one year when they sold out of all gloves! It can get cold.

According to the temp guage in the car, it was 89 degrees today in Kissimmee.

Due to the outer bands of Noal, we have had a couple of days of rain.

Unless you are one of those folks that is always cold, a sweatshirt should be more than sufficient.

Im leaving in 2.5 days !

Packing 1 pair jeans, 3 pair capris, pullover sweater and zip up hooded sweatshirt and i put in a pair of gloves!
Have ticket for MVMCP 1 night and the Wishes birthday cruise another night
Will be at WDW 11/3-16

I already PM'd Mousekamaddy, but I wanted to publicly state that I was SOOOO wrong! She said she brings mittens and I laughed at her, and guess what I bought at AK today! Yup, after freezing my butt of last night at Epcot, I saw those Mickey mittens this morning and grabbed them! And was awfully glad I did when the sun went down tonite! Who knew 59 degrees could feel so cold?!?! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

We will be there next week and I had the same idea as well. I got some inexpensive knit gloves for my daughter to wear at night.. .she gets cold SO easy (even though we live in TX, go figure) and I know that if her hands are warm, she will not seem as cold overall.... hey, they were only $1.44 for 2 pairs and they take next to zero space, and if they save us from having to hear her complain about being cold, then yay!

Here's my packing theory: Even if you look at the forecast right before you go, the weather can change unexpectedly. So I bring a little of everything, just in case, and plan to layer as needed. This time of year, it would definitely be worth it to bring gloves and a hat - as others have said, they don't take up much room and you might be very glad you don't have to buy them when there.

(Here's what's behind my theory: I went in October 2005 just as Hurricane Wilma went through. First two days, before the hurricane, it was upper 80s and very humid. After the hurricane, it dropped to the lower 70s during the day, and even cooler at night. I was so glad I had brought shorts, capris, and even jeans! In October! I had no idea that the weather would cool off that much after the hurricane. If I had only brought shorts, I would have had a big problem [and probably would have had to buy some warmer clothes!]. You just never know.)

We just packed (driving down on Saturday), and we are packing shorts and T-shirts, as well as a hooded sweatshirt for each of us (well, my wife is packing herself several sweatshirts). We are driving down in jeans and cargo pants, but other than that we plan on shorts.

The weathr here in Florida has been great the past few days...upper 50's at night and low 80's during the day. Can't think of a better time to be at WDW!:wizard:
Just pack a little of everything. Remember, you can always buy what you need once you get here! :thumbsup2
