If we check our bags, liquid size doesnt matter right? Do I check my laptop or carry it on? how many carry ons per person and does a laptop count?
WIll it be a problem to pack the trading pins and glow sticks/fans I ordered??

There are no size restrictions for liquids in your checked luggage but, trust me, you'll want to put them in ziploc bags.

Definitely carry on your laptop. Never, ever check anything valuable. Each person is allowed one small personal item and one carry on bag.

Put your pins in the carry on, but the glow sticks need to go in your checked luggage.

What Alesia said :thumbsup2

Each airline has their own set of rules for checked luggage. There is a size limit for alcohol in your checked luggage. Also, there is a strict weight limit. You put too many large bottles of lotion/shampoo in there and you just may go over your weight allowance.

Rather than asking on the disboards, I'd suggest going directly to your airline's website where everything will be spelled out to the letter. Recently Spirit Airlines announced they would start charging for carry-on luggage!!! You don't want any unpleasant surprises at the gate!

Also agree that any valuables that you cannot afford to lose, should remain with you at all times (i.e. carry-on).

Being a person who works in the airline industry, I must agree with Alesia. Do NOT EVER put a laptop or other valuables (car keys, medications, etc) into a checked bag. Also in agreement with the liquids in ziplocs. Bottles break more often then anyone knows resulting in not only your luggage being filled with the liquid, but the luggage next to and under it being possibly ruined. TSA and the FAA say One carryon AND One personal item (purse/SMALL backpack and carryon bag)are allowed on the plane with you. If you are flying in a smaller jet, you may have to gate check your larger carryon, but it will be placed in the plane last and retreived first.

Thanks All! We are flying air tran so i'll have to check their website.
