My wife asked me (i'm too macho) to post to see if anyone had a packing checklist for our cruise. We are going on the 2 week westbound cruise. I believe she is afraid she will overpack. It's going to be my wife and I with our 5 year old daughter and our 16-month old son. Thanks in advance for your help and i hope to see some of you on the cruise.

Cruise time is getting close  I can't believe we made our reservations about this time last year.

Hi there. I'm going on the other PC cruise (and I also live outside of Philly!). I'm going to pack for what I think I'll need for a week or maybe a little more. I'll have Disney launder things that need to be worn more than once. I know there are some packing lists out there and I'm sure someone will post a link. Don't forget sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses to stay protected from the strong sun.

Me too....I am on the August repo and I will pack for a bit more than 7 days....I plan on taking one suitcase and a carryon...that's it for me. I'll do wash or send out to have cleaned if I need it.

But, I know packing for youn kids if much more difficult....glad mine are past those days!!!!

We're on the same cruise in two weeks. Me, DW, and our 5 year old daughter. We are packing for actually about the same as the 7 day cruises..maybe a little more. Just gonna do a little laundry - did it last year on the Magic and it was no problem. Hope to see you on the cruise...maybe our 5 year olds will get a chance to meet!

Same here, we are on the 14 night westbound. We are packing for a week and having disney do the laundry.

HI there!

C'mon over to the Cruise meets thread and join up with our merry little group of oh, over a 100 DIS'ers that are going on the same cruise!

Can't wait!

We are on the Repo Cruise in 2 weeks and will/are packing for about 7 days. Planning some laundry in the middle.
There seems to be a handful of families on this cruise with little ones. Our DS is 23 months.

Just 2 weeks from today!!!!!

You might want to overpack on Diapers for you 16 mo. I understand they are pretty expensive on the ship and don't have any info about how large a supply the ship stores carry. I would start now checking how many you use for the 16 mo old in the next two week and take that many and a few more. Packing diapers is also a great way to have extra space for souvenirs.

One suggestion, DON'T pack ALL the diapers in ONE suitcase just in cast that was the suitcase the airlines lost. Spread them around to all the suitcases and use them to fill in the spaces where clothes don't pack evenly.

Have fun. Wish I was going with you.

Diapers would be one of those great things to mail ahead!

We figured out how long one Costco size bag of diapers lasts us, and are planning based on that number. Plus we are taking some swim diapers.

Yeah, Costco!

Hi, I've been thinking the same thing about what to pack. They say the experienced traveller will pack a suitcase and then take half of it out and whats left is what you should take. Going on that theory packing for about 8 days might be just about right. The last cruise I know we took way to many shoes, {that won't happen this time}. The thing that is different about this cruise [aug. 20 repo] is 14 days seems like a really long time and i've never wanted to do laundry on the ship. I guess I can start. :confused3

I just wanted to comment on the swim diapers. When we were on the 7 day last August my then 11 month old went through about 4 swim diapers a day. My supply was starting to get low toward the end of the cruise so you might want to throw in a few extra.

We'll also be on the repo cruise this year---eastbound in August---yeah!!! Have a wonderful time!

Well, as I don't even own 14 days worth of clothes, I don't think that laundry is optional for us.
