Unprofesional just about sums up the whole situation! I have said many times that I am o.k. being told they don't know, but don't tell me there is nothing wrong. Riley was really upset the other day and asked me if I thought maybe she was just imagining this whole mess and I just got so furious. I told her just what you said. I told her that they don't know her and if they really thought that they would be having her see someone that she could talk to and that person would make that call. I called the office one day and offered to do anything they felt they needed to do to prove that this was real. I told them that I would leave the room and they could talk to Riley alone, they could schedule therapy appts., I would talk to a therapist, they could talk to friends and family, whatever! They said "that won't be necessary."
The nurse called yesterday to give me the results of Riley's last culture. I told her that she still hadn't gotten much releif from the (3 day

) antibiotic that they prescribed. She said "well call us if she gets a fever or her back hurts." I was really irritated and said "I've been telling you for 3 mos. that her back hurts so I don't really know what you want me to do." She just said, "o.k." and got off the phone with me. A little while later she called back and gave Riley 2 more days of antibiotics. The good news is that last night Riley said she was doing better so we'll see now.
Thanks for the soapbox speech! I appreciate it. I wish you lived near me because I would take you to our next appt. so you could tell the doc. that!
