Ok, I take it back. I am definitely not getting better. Trying to decide whether to go to the docs tomorrow. I am pretty positive it is strep. blisters in my throat and raging headaches fit the bill. UGH!!!! B's CD release party is thurs. I really have to get better...
You need to go to the doctor. It sounds like you need an antibiotic real soon.

Here is the Minnie beach dress that I made...ignore the pants under neath..LOL

I haven't finished pants for it and I'm not sure it needs it...I might just leave it as it is...
Lisa, I adore this as I do all your work. I covet the safari outfits you made for the kids for our last trip. Where did you get the umbrella fabric? I would soooooooooo love to do something with that for our beach trip. We are leaving Saturday and I have so many outfits in the works, what is one more? I will have alot to post on Friday if I can get it all done.

Just wanted to jump on quickly and ask for some prayers for my little Rylie! She has been sick since Wed. and is getting worse! :scared1: I have a call in to her pediatrician, so I am waiting to hear back! If you guys don't mind sending some prayers and good thoughts our way! Thanks!Mindy

Rylie is in my prayers. I saw your update and I hope she keeps teh crakers down and gets better soon. It is so hard to see little ones that sick!

GO TO THE DOC! If you go tomorrow, you will be much better by Thursday. Take it from someone who had strep 5 times in 11 months and then had her tonsils out (no strep since!!). By the 3rd or 4th time, I could tell it was coming. I could go to the docs Monday morning and be at work the next day. The worst one though, I let go for a few days thinking that I had the same thing as xh (dh at the time)- his went away in 3 days. On the 3rd day, I still wasn't better and went to the doc. My throat was so swollen, my voice was unrecognizable- and EVERYONE recognizes my voice. I got antibiotics and was better 2 days later to celebrate Christmas. Antibiotics are GREAT- ask if you can get the shot. It is even faster!

Has anyone seen the lime green fabric that has sort of like Mickey Heads swirled into it lately?

 Ok, yeah, I know. I get strep when I'm under a lot of stress and usually about 4-5 times a year. Before my wedding I had strep every month for like 4 months straight. I just thought maybe I could tough it out w/ some ibueprofen and salt water, I haven't been fevered since sat. But I agree, looks like I gotta go.

But thanks for reassuring me that it I should go and I'm not just being a big wuss.

If you are ok with ordering online I have found it at Hancock.com for $4.99 a yard. This fabric is the brighter red with the larger dots on it.

and I also found it here at FabricHound.com it is $7.66 a yard (you buy it by the half yard. This is the fabric that is by Michael Miller. It is the darker red fabric with the medium size dots.

Ok ladies and gentlemen, I am very happy with the way that this dress came out. I love the colors. Jenna feels like a complete princess wearing this dress. I am having a hard time getting it off of her right now.

This post can be labeled as too many Jennas (thanks jham!!)
th_S2010245.jpg

Sorry there are so many of them. Like I said I really love this dress. I am debating letting her wear this to my cousin's baby shower next saturday. What do you guys think is it too much for a baby shower?
Awesome!!!! I would let her wear it!:thumbsup2

OUCH! Hope you have a quick recovery.

The ziplocs do seem like they will save me time...I am putting everything they need for each day in the bag. i got the idea somewhere on here...just really seemed like a great idea to me! Saves time at night when we will be laying stuff out for the next day, I hope!
I love the ziloc packing method! I also LOVE Pop!!! It is such a fun place!

CUTE!

Hi - this is my first attempt at the round neck style - do you think it looks finished, or does it need something????

th_100_0870.jpg

This is a 2, and hannah is a 2 - do you think the armholes will be okay? they look kinda big....
Love that just like it is!!!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers! I talked with the pediatrician today and basically there is nothing they can do for her because of her age!:( They said as long as she is staying hydrated there is nothing else they can do for her! So I am just making sure she is drinking lots and lots and enduring her pitiful cries for food!:worried: :( She is soo pitiful! I really hope this ends soon, because one week is ENOUGH!
Poor kid! Hope she's feeling better soon. My kids would never do pedialite either but I could get to eat a little bit of the frozen pedialite pops.

My Kaitlyn had somthing like this when she was alittle over a year it went on for 19 days we never found out what it was, Her ped even ran all kinds of blood tests. But we did find she could keep down popsicles, so when she wanted "food " I would give here a pop.

I hope your little one starts to feel better real soon.

This is the princess outfit I made for Eliz's bday tomorrow!! I didnt get the time to make one for her new doll, but figure she will enjoy getting little surprises later on!!!

Disneyfab001.jpg

I also found this superman fabric 2.00 it was a valance. I am wanting to make DS a pair of shorts for Universal.

That is so pretty. I love that fabric. I haven't seen any of that around here.

I know it is terribly unfair. Yes, I have a scheduled c-section on Tuesday. Both of my last two were emergency c's to one degree or another. Matthew made his appearance a full 2 weeks early. Because my babies got into distress and my blood pressure goes way up in the final weeks, my doctor was adamant that I not go past 38 weeks. So, due to the surgeon's schedule and his OR time, we're going in on Tuesday.
You have my sympathy though. These last days are tough. I hurt terribly and I'm so sick of the swollen feet, the joint pain and the running to the bathroom. I just keep reminding myself that my dear friend is due with twins 2 weeks after me and she is doubly worse off! She's already carrying almost 12 pounds of babies and her feet look like they will burst. They've given her a disabled parking pass because she can hardly move. So, in comparison, I'm doing really well!!
I'll check in as soon as I can. I'll send some labour prayers your way!!

Sleep tight tonight! It will be the last night for a while! Seeing that about your friend makes me realize how lucky I am! Fortunately I never seem to get swollen. I just have to use the bathroom a lot! My back hurts a little but tylenol help that so I really can't complain! Wishing you a fantastic birth and a speedy recovery!

Well..I got one of the two girls off to school this morning...Alexis's Pre K won't be starting for another week. They postponed the start date to get the school ready. Ireland is off to camp without a hitch...
One question for everyone...I'm not comfortable sending her to the "water places" because she's a non-swimmer....should I just bite the bullet and send her anyway, and hope they watch her, or should I just keep her home on those days. They say they will be taking a swim test but Ireland can fool you. She can swim the length of the pool, but the minute she's tired she doesn't head for the wall, she just goes under and doesn't call for help...:scared1: I'm worried about her going to places like Wet N Wild, and going down the big water slides and not being able to swim at the bottom...What would you all do? Ireland does have a floatie vest that she loves and I'm comfortable with her swimming anywhere in that, but they aren't allowed at the water parks with her group...:(

I lifeguarded for 6 years at a waterpark in the St. Louis area when I was in high school and college. We had waterslides, flumes and a wavepool. We NEVER had a fatality or a serious injury caused by drowning (we had diabetic seizures, heatstroke, etc. but no drownings). With that being said I would NOT let Ireland go on the trips. We have very strict rules about water in our house and I actually won't let anyone else take my children to a pool (of course mine are only 3 and soon to be 5). Unless I was 100% comfortable with my child's swimming abilities (and I mean swim team material) I would not let them be out of my sight near water. We were very vigilant at the waterpark where I worked but accidents can occur, and they occur quickly.

The first rescue I made I would have missed if the man hadn't been wearing a toupee (sp?). I know that sounds funny, and it is! I was stationed at the wave pool in a shallow water position (less than 3 ft. of water). The waves were on and I noticed this man b/c his hair piece was flipped halfway over. Of course I kept looking wondering why he didn't flip it back over. As I watched I noticed that he was sitting down and the waves were just hitting him again and again in the face and drawing him deeper but he never stood up. It finally occured to me (don't forget this was a grown man in shallow water - I was paying attention it just didn't make sense to me) that he WAS indeed drowning. After I got him out of the water I found out that he was unable to stand or walk (I don't remember anymore if he was a paraplegic or if he had MS) and was wheelchair bound and couldn't swim. Don't ask me why he thought a wavepool was a good idea but anyway, accidents happen. I thank God that he was wearing a hair piece b/c without it, the outcome could possibly have been different.

I'm sure Ireland would love to go to the waterparks but unless you are more confident of her swimming ability I truly wouldn't allow it. The risk that you are taking is just too great. Sign her up for swim lessons and let her know that there is always next year.

My computer connection, really Stinks today..I feel like I've been sitting here forever waiting for a few photos to download!! grr
Anyway, if it works, here is Alexis on her trial run this morning...:rotfl2:

Yes I am aware that her shirt is buttoned wrong, but she won't let me fix it. She says she likes it that way.

Love the ants! Very cute!
SORRY! I guess I never gave that much info! She is having severe diarreah and vomiting! I know, gross, but those are the only symptoms she has! She hasn't been able to keep anything down. She just feels really bad and I have been unable to even put her down for the past 2 days! If she is not being held she just cries and cries! It is sooo sad! My dh just got home with some crackers and we gave her some of those, so we will see how she does! I am praying that she keeps those in! She is STARVING!:worried:

Is it rotovirus? My oldest had that and it was miserable! The pediatrician said they wouldn't do anything unless she had it for more than 14 days! Although my doctor said to stick with the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce and toast - plain no butter) and lots of liquids. Poor baby! I hope she feels better and watch for signs of dehydration (no tears when crying, not going to the bathroom, etc.).

That's really cute! :goodvibes

We did do that once, rode on some big rides and had a nice dinner, but it was a little sad to walk around Disney and see all the happy families and know that we left ours at home. I don't think I would want to do that again. Maybe Pleasure Island, lol!
I hear ya girl...I would be the same way!

Just wanted to jump on quickly and ask for some prayers for my little Rylie! She has been sick since Wed. and is getting worse! I have a call in to her pediatrician, so I am waiting to hear back! If you guys don't mind sending some prayers and good thoughts our way! Thanks!Mindy

Oh my goodness, I love this dress!!! So stinkin' cute!!!

I feel so lucky that I was able to find so many great testers here!!! I really value the feedback I have gotten from them - it makes for a much better eBook. They helped me find little boo-boos that I would have missed otherwise, and also let me know which points needed elaboration. This eBook ended up being so much more work than I anticipated. I made each size several times, and each time I tweaked a collar or a sleeve, I would have to make yet another shirt. I have so many of these shirts now - I could open a bowling shirt store! Then of course writing up each step in detail took a loooong time. So I am VERY happy to have it almost ready to go! :woohoo:

And YES! - I am always so thrilled to see a disboard kiddo pop up in the "I Made This" section. I do sort of feel like a proud mama :) . I get to live vicariously though all you girl mommies who get to have fun with ruffles and bows - LOL!

Thanks for the support - I LOVE you guys!
Awwww you are such a sweetie!!! And I think you should SELL all the bowling shirts you have already made.....I call dibs....hahahahahaha...JK.

Ahhh, I learned to multi-quote!! Woohoo!! I was afraid that it would be too hard for me to learn, so I never bothered. I am not exactly computer saavy, even though I am a chemical engineer irl. I finally read the tutorial on the first page. It was so easy. So for anyone that says they don't know how, just take a minute. I swear it is painless!!!
You go rockin' multi-quoter girl!!!! (dang...try saying that over and over again fast)...:rotfl2:
