OK, can I just say how jealous I am of all you Pattern testers out there?!?!?! :worship: :worship: :worship: I also noticed a pretty good number of Dis'ers in the "I made this" slide for the simply sweet tops pattern too. I'm not the best eye spyer, but they were pretty easy to pick out!!! You ladies did a lovely job, I'm sure you made Carla proud. Can't wait for this one, DS wants some customs for Disney and how many Mickey head appliqued t-shirts can one kid have:rotfl2: Plus DH saw some "skater" fabric the other day at Joann's that he thought would be an awesome bowling shirt. Let the guy look at a couple of fabrics and patterns and suddenly he's a modiste:rolleyes:

im alive. I mad it. Had to stay an extra day and night at the hospital. I feel icky and have not checked out al the new creations. Im tired, dizzy, and in a lot of pain. I have 56 staples from a inch above my belly button down tto my va jay jay. Just wanted to say hi.

I hope you feel better soon, and wishing you a speedy recovery! Try and get lots of rest.

Ok ladies and gentlemen, I am very happy with the way that this dress came out. I love the colors. Jenna feels like a complete princess wearing this dress. I am having a hard time getting it off of her right now.

This post can be labeled as too many Jennas (thanks jham!!)

Sorry there are so many of them. Like I said I really love this dress. I am debating letting her wear this to my cousin's baby shower next saturday. What do you guys think is it too much for a baby shower?

Want to come teach mine to swim? I hate to swim & I'm not very good, but given how close we are to so many lakes the girls need to know & right now paying for lessons is not an option.

sure!! On my way!!!:moped:

:rotfl:
I can't blame her for not wanting to take her dress off - it's so fun! Really great dress.:thumbsup2

I feel so lucky that I was able to find so many great testers here!!! I really value the feedback I have gotten from them - it makes for a much better eBook. They helped me find little boo-boos that I would have missed otherwise, and also let me know which points needed elaboration. This eBook ended up being so much more work than I anticipated. I made each size several times, and each time I tweaked a collar or a sleeve, I would have to make yet another shirt. I have so many of these shirts now - I could open a bowling shirt store! Then of course writing up each step in detail took a loooong time. So I am VERY happy to have it almost ready to go! :woohoo:

And YES! - I am always so thrilled to see a disboard kiddo pop up in the "I Made This" section. I do sort of feel like a proud mama :) . I get to live vicariously though all you girl mommies who get to have fun with ruffles and bows - LOL!

Thanks for the support - I LOVE you guys!

even though I'm afraid to sew, I go to YCMT.com ALL THE TIME and pour over patterns and ideas.

If I ever kick my perfectionistic fear of failure, I KNOW that it will be one of your patterns that will be my first attempt!

I think it's neat-o that you are a Diser!!!:thumbsup2

2nd dress: Valentines Day

Winter2007Spring2008277.jpg

DD thinks she is a model - I can't get her to stand up straight!!

Too cute!!! I love the polka dot one!!!! They are all so adorable!!!

You should have seen the fear in her eyes when she found out Peter Pan was a "boat" ride. She had to ask the CM at the beginning of the line what the ride was all about before she would even get in line.
:rotfl2: That is too cute!

Last week the JoAnns at Northpoint mall area had some red & white polka dot fabric. It was the large dot fabric I believe. They had several bolts. This was late last week. Hope you can find what you are looking for.

Everyone here makes such beautiful clothing. I'm a waaaaaayyyyy novice at things, but I've even been inspired to try a few things... I just need the time to do it now.

Julie

Just start a sewing!!!
So the packing has begun!:cool1: Because it takes so long for my computer to upload...we will be doing these a few at a time!:badpc:

These are the kids outfits for next Wednesday...yes...I have each day tagged properly! :thumbsup2 We will be eating at Chef Mickey's.

This is for the littlest, DS4.

I'm glad you are home! I'm sorry you are still feeling yucky. I hope you have somene staying with you to help out. Get some rest.
Aww love the CM outfits!

Hey for those of you that buy and sell on "other places". I bought 2 customs from a lady they were supposed to be ready and shipped a week ago Friday. I emailed her to be sure they were shipped and she was taking longer than expected no biggie. Well she said they woudl be out Tues or Wed. I had emailed her back a question on Monday and never recieved a response (had nothing to do with this shipment). Friday I still had not heard from her so I sent her an email touching base and that I had another seller get some wierd name from paypal I was making sure that she had the right name and address. So I hve not heard from her again. So my question to you ladies how long is a reasonable amount of time before I email her again? I know Friday to Monday is not long but I am just frustrated because it was supposed to be sent out last week and she has yet to let me know if that happened or not. :(

I would go ahead and email her again. You are asking her a question, she should have answered you.

Let the guy look at a couple of fabrics and patterns and suddenly he's a modiste:rolleyes:

I agree with the OP to email her everyday make sure you do it via the other places messaging so you have a trail. She should at least respond to your request and give you a status especially she is already late.

:lmao: Wow...I WAS confused...for some reason I thought that Jord was a childhood lovey that belonged to TeresaJoy's oldest SON! I don't know what made me think that...perhaps seeing a picture of him with Jord? :confused3 :rotfl2:

You might have Jord confused with Chucky! I think I mentioned him before. After I lost Quinn, Corey wanted to know how big he had been. We had a little down around the house, (I think his cousin got it in a free box when she lived with us, and she left it when she went back to her Mom) so I told him that he had been about that size. Corey started carrying the doll all over the place, he said he was his brother. He named him Chucky, because as he said, we already had a doll named Tommy. He was a big Rugrats fan!

Needless to say, Chucky is a very special little doll.

I'd love to know what you think of Sesame Place. I want to take Megan there and Hershey park in a couple of years, but I keep reading mixed reviews of Sesame Place. And since it would be a far distance for us (from TX) I want to make sure it's worth the travel before we commit.

I haven't been there in about 5 years. We always had fun going there. But don't expect something like Typhoon Lagoon. It's pretty out in the open and lots of concrete. But we've always had a good time there.

Okay here is some pictures.

The dress is gorgeous. I'd let Kirsta wear it to a baby shower. After all, she is a kid and wants to be a princess.

One question for everyone...I'm not comfortable sending her to the "water places" because she's a non-swimmer....should I just bite the bullet and send her anyway, and hope they watch her, or should I just keep her home on those days. They say they will be taking a swim test but Ireland can fool you. She can swim the length of the pool, but the minute she's tired she doesn't head for the wall, she just goes under and doesn't call for help...:scared1:
I would, without a doubt, NOT NOT NOT send her. I do not let my kids swim anywhere out of my sight. With lots of kids to watch, I don't even trust lifeguards or teachers or my friends or anyone else when it comes to water. If you can keep her home, I really would do that! :bitelip:

My computer connection, really Stinks today..I feel like I've been sitting here forever waiting for a few photos to download!! grr
Anyway, if it works, here is Alexis on her trial run this morning...:rotfl2:

Absolutely adorable!

Here is the Minnie beach dress that I made...ignore the pants under neath..LOL

I haven't finished pants for it and I'm not sure it needs it...I might just leave it as it is...
Very creative and I just love the applique! My girls love Minnie's flip flops too! :thumbsup2

I feel like I'm stealing the board this morning...but this is what Lex is wearing now that she's home from school...:lmao:

After this we are off to run errands and I might even get my nails done...whahoo!!
Steal way! "AWwwwwww how cute" was the chorus of responses when I scrolled down to this pic.

Its funny how our kids watch this thread as much as us!!! :rotfl:

OMG I love it! It is stunning! I say let her wear it to the shower! I always love letting my dd(8) dress up as much as she wants.

Heck I found a dress for her which was probably a brides maid dress or a fancy easter dress at JCPenny for $15 and I told her where it when every you want! I love wen little grils are really dressed up!!!

YIPPEE my mom ordered my little girl a pettie skirt AND top!!!!!!!! YIPPEEE She broke down and coughed up a pretty penny but we think(hope) she will love it! She gets it when my mom visits on July 4th. If she doesn't like it I think we will have to beat her!:lmao:

Sounds like an awesome trip you have planned. I love when people organize the clothing by day! I did that too! :thumbsup2 Love all of the outfits!!!

OMGoodness...so glad to hear from you but sorry about all of the staples. Yikes  56!!! I had like 15 once and they really hurt by day 3!
Hope you are feeling better soon!!! Cracking up over the v. j. j. word :rotfl2:

I finished another dress for Jenna, but something happened and the dress ended up covered in ants.

And this is Jenna's little friend Meranda.
S2010004.jpg

Yes I am aware that her shirt is buttoned wrong, but she won't let me fix it. She says she likes it that way.

Hi - this is my first attempt at the round neck style - do you think it looks finished, or does it need something????

This is a 2, and hannah is a 2 - do you think the armholes will be okay? they look kinda big....

I think it looks cute. I think that the armholes are supposed to be a little big. That's how they fit Jenna.

:offtopic: Vent ahead!
I am not exactly sure why, but parents at my daughter's school were NOT invited to the end-of-the-year award ceremony. I showed up with my camera today (after a teacher told me parents were invited) and they sent me packing! Can you believe it? I am really sad cause my DD10 worked really hard all year for straight A's so she could get this award. Interestingly enough, parents were invited right after to an "accelerated reader" award program. I just don't get it. :confused3

They did the same thing at Jenna's school. I didn't even know that there was an award ceremony until Jen came home with a trophy. I would have loved to have had pictures of her getting the trophy.
