Package vs room only +

Has anyone compared the packages Disney offers to booking everything separate, lately?

It still seems separate is the way to go - especially you you get the AP and room discount.

BC package for May was almost 5g's...lol I think I can do it for under 3,500 with buying AP's now and next time for under 2g's

We figured ours this way:

5nights 6days stay at Value Resort:

Package value season at all-stars with UPH: $1313 approx.

Separately:
Buying APs - $1120 approx
Resort - $49 AP rate - $250 plus tax

However... next September when we go again, hoping with AP rate on resort the same: $250 plus tax

So with AP... for 2 trips we'll have spent $1620 approx. Per trip cost: $810.

With package... 2 trips : $2626. Savings of $1000!

I have to add airfare in there for my trip and I can almost always get a lower price when I shop around online and keep checking back.
