We recently booked our Jan. trip through AAA. Does anyone know when you recieve your travel documents (i.e. tickets, dining plan info, etc.). I realize it will be after we have paid our balance but I wasn't sure if they mailed it or we recieved it upon arrival. I emailed them but of course no response and I can't bear the thought of calling and being on hold forever without checking here first. Ya'll have been much more helpful with other things. I don't want to sound like I am complaining about AAA. We got a great discount but I just wish their customer service was a bit better. Thanks in advance to any who can help.

I booked our August 05 trip thru AAA. My balance was paid 2 weeks ago. My TA said I will receive our documents about 2 weeks before we leave because that is when the ME tags will be in. Have a great trip. :flower:

My aaa TA said that they do not mail them because they want to ensure that you actually get them. At my office you have to pick them up in person and sign for them. This was a huge relief for me. Last year my bf's parnets went on a cruise done by adifferent agency, not AAA. Anyway long story short adifferent appt building got them, We went around knocking on over 200 units trying to find the tickets 1 day before they left. We found them luckly. I like the pickup beteer than being mailed.

We got our papers 2 weeks prior to the trip. However the magical express tags never came. I had to go to the magical express counter on level 1 to get the necessary documents and to have them pick our bags up.

The Dining plan is on your room key which is also your theme park ticket. Your one key will cover all meals on the dining plan as well. So only 1 person in your party has to provide their key. This is very convenient. It is also great that the dining plan works on everyones key so that if you are in one area of the park and another family member is in a different area you don't need the other persons key. You can each present your own key.

So if we are driving down and I won't be using ME then everything else we will recieve when we get there. Am I understanding that correctly? I get so confused when it comes to this stuff.

I would assume so. What was in our packet was the confirmations and luggage tags. We also received a reminder for certain places to show our AAA card to get the discounts. Problem was were were never at those places.

Make sure you get your AAA voucher to get into the AAA lounge in tomorrowland. You get to cool off and get a free coke.

Oh good grief! Im having a mini panic attack reading this thread! :faint: I booked our May 2006 trip thru AAA because it was $200 less than what CRO quoted me. I have never done a package before, but really wanted the dining plan this time. I hadn't even thought of the possibility of not receiving the "travel packet" in time!!! :faint:

Well don't worry I called my AAA agent today about something else (finally broke down and stayed on hold) . Anyway she said exactly what the others said. We'll get our documents two weeks prior to trip and we'll receive our ticket and dining plan "stuff" (which if I'm not mistaken is also on the ticket) when we check into the resort. I already felt better after posting here but since I had to call her today anyway I went ahead and confirmed. You know when you put so much $$$ out there you want to be sure everything will be alright!!

Thank you all so much for your help.

Our AAA agent sent all of our documents (except ME tags) Airborn Express about 30 days prior to our departure. She says we will receive ME express tags about 2 weeks before we travel.

We booked for October through AAA. I find it odd that you have a problem with your AAA TA as I have generally heard good things about them and I have a direct e-mail address for my TA and she always responds within a day (except once when she was out of the office, but I got an out of office email message, so all was good.) The one time that I did contact her via phone, I got right through to her.

My TA also said that we should receive our paperwork (which I have just assumed to be confirmations, lounge passes, and Diamond Parking pass) two weeks prior to check-in. I told her that I would like them a little earlier since we are leaving a week before our check-in date and I did not want to cut it too close and risk not getting my papers. She said she couldn't promise me b/c she is at the mercy of Disney, but she would do all that she could and said that if I made my final payment a week or so earlier than the 45 day mark, that I should get everything a little sooner.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.
