When my family went to Florida in 2018, we did Disney's package and that got us some perks like complementary gold and ESPN, Magic band, etc.. When you rent points, does that reservation get the same perks?

When you rent, you are not dealing with Disney. You are dealing with an owner who is letting you stay on their membership.

Magic bands are included...well, for 2020..in 2021, you have to buy even if booking with Disney,

But, no other perks are included.

Complimentary perks given with a package are paid for with a higher initial price tag.
DVC rentals cost much less than a package - you could probably rent DVC & pay OOP for the package perks....and still pay a LOT less.

They have said they will no longer be complimentary in 2021, so I would say yes, you will have to pay.

The plain colored bands cost $5. Other decorated bands cost from $10 to $20.
