We have a DS2 who still sleeps in his crib. We went to the beach a few weeks ago and took our own pack-n-play for him to sleep in and he did great! I was just wondering about the pack-n-plays at DW... do they seem clean? We've had bad experiences before in hotels. We are staying at the GF. Our DD5 will sleep in the regular bed. Don't they also have a day bed? Should I just try him in that with bed rails? I just think he will do better in a crib-like setting. Should we take our own pack-n-play? (sorry for the rambling..)

We've used the pack n plays at OKW and AKL (and will use one at VWL in Aug) and they've always been clean. I do wipe it down with a Clorox wipe and I bring my own sheets though.

We have used them many times and they were always clean or brand new. My sil got one at POFQ in April and it had never been used. We also brought our own sheets.

We used one at the WL, and it was clean and fine. We used their sheets (Disney themed!). The sheets were changed everyday like the regular beds. It was a regular Graco Pack N Play, just a stripped down version. If your DS is used to a crib, I would stick with a PNP.

I know that I am in the minority with this, but we have always brought our own pack and play for DD. I just get grossed out at the idea of her sleeping in the hotel one where little ones might have leaked out of diapers (with no mattress pad) and slobbered all over the mesh sides. Yes, I know that hotel mattresses are gross too, but I'm not as nuts about myself as I am about my baby. I realize that I have thought about this way too much and that I am crazy:crazy: , but I have really found it to be no big deal to bring our pack and play with since we use Magical Express. I have a duffle bag that I pack the pack and play in...we skycap the bag at our home airport and it is delivered to our room. There is very little handling of our own pack and play and it makes me feel (or enables me ;) ) a lot better.

If I lived close enough to drive to WDW, then I would bring my own PNP (pack n play), as I agree with the pp about grossness on the mesh sides and bottom. but we're vlying from san diego, and there's no way I would drag mine across the counrty! I'm just going to double up on pack n play sheets, and my DS (2.5 at time of travel) might even want to sleep in the regular bed. I know guard rails are available on the cruises for the beds, so it can't hurt to ask about those!

Guard rails are also available at all the WDW Resorst free of charge.

Thanks for all of the replies! We are flying, so we will just have to decide if it's worth the hassle to take our own.
