We might be using one of DCL's pack-n-play crib when we travel next April. I understand that I can call and have them put the crib request as well as a highchair request on our reservation prior to our sailing, which will be great.

My question is this: Does anyone know if it would be a problem to have the room steward leave the crib up/out during the day, in case my daughter needs a nap?

I know space can be somewhat tight, but we were hoping that the crib would be set up where the pull down murphy bed would be. That way we would still have room to move around and get to the verandah.

We were in a Cat 6 with a pack and play that we left set up. It did cut down on the space you have in the room, but it was not that bad. I'm sure you can live with it and it is nice to have it set up for the afternoon naps for the little ones. As far as putting it under where the murphy bed pulls down, this is where the couch is. The only place it can go is between the couch and the desk like setup by the TV. Have fun

We're in a cat. 4 and if am not mistaken, I think that the Murphy bed that pulls down from the wall unit is on the side of the couch next to the verandah door. It should gives us plenty of room. Except to sleep (naps included) I don't think we will be in there much.

I'm glad that they will allow us to leave the pack-n-play out.

On our cruises they have always left the crib up for us. if you are not in a cat 4 you can have them take out the coffee table and that will give you plenty of room to get around the crib to the verandah. In a cat 4 you should have plenty of room with the crib near the wall where the murphy bed pulls down to get around it to the verandah.

The Murphy bed in a Cat 4 comes down across the front of the veranda door, just make sure your crib is turned the other way to allow you access to the veranda.
