PABA-free sunscreen

Have you looked at Little Swimmers?? I know they have hypoallergenic as my friend uses it on her kids who also have eczema.

DS8 had eczema (although it has cleared up considerably now that he is older). DD4 gets itchy and rashy with the wrong combo of sun, pool water and sunscreen. We've had luck with Neutogena. It comes in 70 and 55 SPF and you can usually find a 2-pack at Costco for around $13. I think one tube at target is $8-$9. I use Skin Cueticals (sp?) on all of our faces because it goes on so smoothly and does not sting or burn the eyes. I get this at the salon/spa where I get my hair done.

My daughter is allergic to Oxybenzone (ingredient in most cheaper sunscreens.) We've had great luck with the trader joe's sunscreen. Also Blue Lizard ($$$) and California Baby ($$$$) are good too.

All three of my kids have reacted to different suscreens over the years (such fun to remember who can use what...:rotfl:) My oldest daughter has had the most problems and we have found that the Blue Lizard sunscreen does not cause her to react at all:cool1:. It is expensive but it works, they also love the fact that the bottle changes color in UV light.

My son's dermatologist recommended Neutrogena. We've found it works well on them. You can also get it in a Waterproof version for when they are in the pool.

If you end up getting Banana Boat or Hawiian Tropic go to their websites for a $2 off coupon.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I think we'll give the Neutrogena (pure & free) a try and see how she does with that to start.

I third Neutrogena! A good friend of mine is allergic to sunscreen and needs a PABA free sunscreen and has never had a problem with this.

I use the California baby and it works great...just $$$$ :(

We're trying to avoid the most expensive ones for now unless we end up having to use them. DD has it applied twice a day at school (morning & afternoon) and they really slather it on the kiddos! They've gone through 2/3 of a 4oz tube of Aveeno Baby in about 2 weeks.

We've been using Blue Lizard and California Baby on our two ecezma kiddos. I might give Neutrogena a try having heard all the good reviews here.

We have a DD with excema and we love Neturogena. She reacts to almost everything els we have tried, but does great with the Neutrogena.
