P&P Party tickets

If that's your standard, who's left? We know the CRO Cast Members often are wrong, and the web site is often out of date, as well. How long was Wonders of Life "Seasonal" before it finally got taken off?

For the record, Disney makes many rides "seasonal" for a lengthly period of time until they know for sure it's not going to be back. Typhoon Lagoon was "seasonal" for quite a few years and "closed for refurbishment" for some more years. It's pretty obvious nothing was going on there, but...that's how Disney rolls.

That way if they choose to change their mind, it's easier to put something back into production from seasonal than from replaced.

Brian - tut, tut!!! :stir:

If you read my post, you'd see what my standards are!

Hey tink,too...just use the ignore feature, honey. I had to do it here and TGM. ;) You can see that some people are coming here to post bc they want to be right and stir the pot.....and could care less about PPP.

For the ones that are offering genuine advice about PPP and feel it will not happen, thank you for your "inside" information. Knox, I appreciate the updates as you have have been given them.

FWIW, I have "inside" information too and my "inside" information (who does not work at WDW as a CM, but instead the corporate office) told me that nothing has been confirmed one way or another due to budgetary reviews. He would not tell me much more but I trust him to be reliable. He told me VMK was shutting down 2 months before it happened, he told me that Disney was taking over Club Penguin about 3 weeks before it was annouced publicy and he provided me 07 MVMCP dates last year in March 07!

Like I said before, I too can say I heard it from "the Mouse".

Actually Brian I would agree that the Moms Panel site is not an official source. We are an independent site that sits on the WDW site (we are all contractors, not CMs). In general the Moms Panel site typically uses the same public sources of info that everyone else has access to.

..........

I guess I'm just trying to help manage expectations. Hope you all don't mind. :grouphug:

Of course we don't mind. :) Just wishing that we could find out for sure one way or another. :hippie:

Just jumping in here...

Last year there were similar worries and gobs of us were freaking out about P&PP dates just like this year. They were posted on the DVC site early on, then taken down (hence the freaking out), then very late they were confirmed and reposted.

That gives me a teensy bit of hope. You never know what they will decide in this economy, but if they found that the P&PParties brought in visitors that they normally would not have, perhaps they will decide to have the parties.

All we can do is wait, and I'm with you all in the white knuckle, nail-biting waiting, because we LOVED the party.

Hang in there, everyone!! :surfweb:

If you go to the mom's panel you will see that they have cancelled the parties!! So sad!!!

read what has been posted above they ARE NOT DISNEY and so are also speculating. We will have to wait for official word either way.

How much more official did you want it to be?

mom panel is not a Disney owned site. So why would they announce something before Disney did? At this point I want to go to the P&P party, but if it doesn't happen it is just a party, but I am only going to take a cancellation when Disney says so. When it is on their site...When you call reservations and they tell you that it has been cancelled. I just called right now and they said that the dates are still in their system. What do you care what I think anyway? If I want to hope it isn't hurting you. It isn't bothering you....If you do not want to read the post on us hoping then skip the thread and go read something else!

Disney has been changing their official website calendars all day...have you noticed that there are no "7:00 P.M." closings listed on the MK 2009 calendar anymore...in 2008, the days with special events like P & P, MNSSHP, and the current Christmas parties all show up as 7:00 P.M. closing on the calendar.
Not trying to bring you down, or anything. I hope you get to go...but at this point it really just looks like the P & P party is another casualty of this rotten economy.

Could be,,,I am not saying it might not be, but until Disney says so I will continue to hope I get good news!

Yes, life is ever so much more pleasant when you only have to hear people who agree with you. I encourage everyone to try it! :thumbsup2

And, as I've said before, I do care about P&PP, because one was scheduled for my dates. But, I've accepted that, for the moment, Disney doesn't plan on having them.

That's such a bummer. It would have been so nice to go again. I can understand it though. The economy just doesn't support something like that right now. There's always next year, right?

Maybe they are just updating the P&PP info.

Hey, I am only going by what you said above....Is that not what you said? You also said you were not an official source...correct? Please correct me if I misunderstood what you wrote above. I gathered that Moms panel sits on the Disney site...that it is not run by Disney and independent of it. If it was run by Disney how could information given there be incorrect at times? No rudeness intended but really am curious how Disney would have a site that uses public sources like the DIS and other sites to make announcements, wouldn't they want a site owned by them ot give out only correct info?
