P&P Party tickets

Kara from the Disney Mom's Panel indicated in her Q&A today that she was informed by Disney that there would be no P&PP parties in 2009

While I think this is more reliable than a CM (as bad as that sounds), it is still he-said-she-said until Disney confirms it.

If they were officially cancelled, seems the responses from Guest Services would say there are no parties for 2009.

I still think it is up in the air and they are looking at crowds and number of bookings before making their decision one way or the other.

I agree with you in general (and glad the MP is viewed as more reliable than a random CM ), but in this case I'd believe Kara. She isn't saying it's her opinion, she's saying she heard it from "Mickey."

as I said in a earlier post won't believe that until I officially read it on Disney's website. As far as I am concern it is still on.

Were they announced or posted on the website? If not, then there's nothing to show as cancelled.

The Party has been taken off the Special Events page.
The Park hours on supposed Party dates are now 8PM or later.
And an MP member has said that "Disney says...."

I realize you really want these to happen, but at this point, well, denial isn't just a river in Egypt.

I would say based on that response that the parties are not happening.

has wdw changed the park hours for MK for 2-27-09? they had the park closing early with no fireworks or spectro & this was one of the rumored dates for the p&p

Not today. Monday 11-24. Brian Noble you can believe what you want to believe but there is no need to start problems here and get this thread closed. As said if my calling in bothers you oh well...

there is no need to get nasty or to ruin everyones hopes of the parties. If we do hear that there will not be any - no its not the end of the world - but yes it will be disappointing.

OK, so I've emailed WDW Guest Services again asking them to confirm or deny what the Disney Mom's Panel are stated. I am not saying those folks are not knowledgeable, but I do remember last year they were giving out some incorrect info about strollers IIRC.

However much we would love to attend more MP&P parties next year, I agree that it is just a party and we will find loads of other stuff to do in Orlando to fill our vacation time.

My issue with WDW over this is their lack of communication about the parties. Just say yay or nay either way, pleeeze!!! It'll put us over-planners out of our misery one way or another - and it'll save Stitchfans a fortune on their phone bill!
