for those of you who own/have owned - how many visits per year do you think makes the OL a worthwhile investment?:)

One visit can cover the costs in terms of convenience and not needing to purchase items and toss out anything left over at the end of a stay. We have far more invested in the contents of our locker than the annual storage fee - and the convenience makes the value even greater. While we are able to make multiple trips each year, even those making only one trip per year can realize cost savings and more importantly, convenience.

You might want to give it a try - they even offer a risk free trial for the first year.

Enjoy! :)

Hello
For me personally, one visit works for me. For the price that the airlines charge for additional baggage, and the "i forgot this or that" factor, and the sheer convenience it is worth it to us.
We do go down on an average 3 times per year, so it really does benefit us, but if we just went once, we'd still use it. :thumbsup2

The fact that I don't have to pack shampoo/cond, razors, shave cream, beach towels, sunscreen, playing cards, misters, toothpaste, laundry stuff, clothspins....oh, the list goes on and on....makes it very worthwhile to me. It's been so nice to have only 2, and sometimes just 1, checked bag for three of us!!

We signed up last year for our Owner's Locker and only plan on going once a year. My DH was a bit skeptical not about the cost but about the actual usefulness of it. I went ahead and signed us up and waited to see his reaction when we arrived. Surprisingly he was shocked at how large the locker is. I had sent down large mugs (DH loved having a real mug of coffee each morning) and a waffle maker that we used twice while we were there. On our last night, while packing, he had much more stuff to go in there than I anticipated. He loves that each of us has so much already there to make each of our future trips that much more comfortable, easy to shop for and pack. The cost of it was never discussed again, for us it's well worth it even if we only go once a year!

Can someone please post the cost and any discounts? We looked into it a while ago and couldn't come up with enough " stuff" to justify it. Any suggestions on what you store in there that's impossible for you to vacation without? Thanks

thank you all so much!! Sounds like I don't need any more convincing!:thumbsup2

Currently there is a discounted rate ($45) for the initial membership fee and there is also an extra free visit per year for three years for DIS members. The discount is applied when you select "the DIS" from the "How did you hear about Owner's Locker" drop-down and the extra visit is applied separately and confirmed by email.

You can check out the details at OwnersLocker.com.

We currently have 9 bottles of wine in our lockers, as well as clothing items (sweaters, sweatshirts, jacket, poncho, shirts, shorts), shampoo, scissors, paring knives, aspirin, ibuprofen, coffee, salt/pepper, pizza pan, corkscrew, detergent, pencils, cards, toothpaste, wireless router, soup, etc., etc., etc.

I was a big hold out on getting our Owner's Locker, now I can't imagine not having it. It makes preparing for trips easier, and makes unpacking when arriving back home easier. Here's a list of what's in our Locker:
