We currently have two Member IDs. The first is a Feb UY and has our direct VGF & VDH points. However we are in the process of purchasing a resale Feb UY AKV contract that will be added to this member ID. Our second member ID has our existing resale AKV contract with an Oct UY.
Are there any things I need to be aware of when transferring points between contracts with different Member IDs/Use Years?
Our plans are that later in the year we are going to be booking as much as we can at the 11 month window for our daughter's Disney wedding. We are currently have a smaller AKV contract with a different member ID & UY (Oct) than our direct points. We are also in the process of purchasing a second slightly larger AKV contract that has the same UY (Feb) as our direct points and will end up under that member ID.
In order to most effectively use our points at the 11 month window we are going to want to do a transfer and combine all of our AKV points into one of our AKV contracts. Then prior to hitting the 7 month window we will need to transfer some of our VDH points to be able to book the last couple of nights.
We had heard that you can only do one transfer a year, but my wife called member services the other day and was told that rule applies to transfers between different owners and that because we are the owners of both memberships we would have unlimited transfers. I don't want to doubt them, but if anyone has done this before ot would be great to hear as a confirmation!
