Since I just got back from these two parks, I wanted to give some feedback in case someone searches for this type of information. For reference, I am a very large female (size 28-30) and carry my weight in my hips. I don't fit well at all in a coach airline seat and use a seat belt extender. I do have good mobility, strength, and flexibility.

I fit on everything I tried (details below), so I wanted to assuage any worries. Theater style seats would be pretty cozy in some places if I'd had people on both sides. Kind of like the seats when going to see a play. Any seat belt I encountered was sized huge, enough so that I could fasten it while almost standing up and then plop into the seat. Which can be a good strategy, otherwise it can be tricky to latch when seating is tight.

Hollywood Studios attractions I did: Great Movie Ride. Toy Story Midway Mania. Theater in One Man's Dream. Tower of Terror. Star Tours. Muppets. Beauty and the Beast. Indiana Jones. Lights, Motors, Action. Path of the Jedi movie. I think that's all. Tightest seats were probably Muppets. Tower of Terror was pretty cozy. Didn't do the roller coaster to report. Oh, and a warning on Lights, Motors, Action, if you have difficulties with stairs you might want to talk to a cast member for lower seating, we got sent to the very top which I estimate was about five flights. Lower seats do exist so I'm sure anyone can be accommodated.

EPCOT attractions: Nemo. The Land. Figment. Theater next to Figment. Test Track. Ellen's Universe of Energy. Spaceship Earth. American Experience. Those were fine though the door into the Figment ride (I think it was that one, might be wrong) was a squeeze. I did see a pair of women having difficulty getting out of the Test Track car so those with less mobility might have issues, it's lower than other rides. The cast member was very friendly in assuring the somewhat flustered women that it was fine and let them take the time they needed.

I agree with you. I just got back and didn't have any issues. I'm 6'3" a little under 300 lbs and wear size 48 pants.

I think I rode most things and had no issues with my weight. 7d was tight in the legs, but not the belly. I'm not really all that tall and I was more uncomfortable on things because of my legs being bent (pirates, small world, splash, big thunder as well as RNRC, Everest, and test track in the back seats) than my belly in the way. Only thing my size made it difficult was Astro orbiter. I literally just fit in the opening, but once down I was ok.

My brother is 6'7 and very pooh sized. He didn't even try that much because of his long legs but he was ok on pirates and small world (but like I said just uncomfortable with legs bent awkwardly for 5 minutes). He was good with dumbo and Aladdin. Haunted mansion, buzz, nemo, and Peter Pan were good. Test track front row was tight but ok as was dinosaur, RNRC, star tours, and tot.

Honestly we found it harder to fasten the seatbelt (not because of length but where they were) than fit on the ride. I know for small people it's more than ok, but for a fat person it was hard to reach down under yourself to fasten the belts.

I watched "the technique" in rides with belts (including ToT.)

While standing, pull the belt ALL THE WAY OUT (it is VERY long.)
With the belt around you, lean down and plug in the buckle...
then ease down in the seat and let the belt retract to fit.

Thank you for this! I just got back from a January trip and probably would have loved to read this beforehand!
I'll admit there were some things I didn't do out of sheer embarrassment because I remember having a hard time getting on or off the ride. (Like the Astro Orbiter and Space Mountain.)
I hate knowing that my size limits me because I realize it's all in my head! I'm not from the US and I kind of stand out weight-wise around here, but when I visit the States I always feel more at home and comfy because I'm not alone.
Yet I still find it difficult to let go and just do.. whatever! Like the Incredibles Dance Party! I watched from the sidelines and Mr. Incredible came up to me for a few seconds but I didn't have the guts to just go ahead and dance. And I LOVE dancing! I took dance classes and everything! Still embarrassed :sad2:

Talk to me about "very pooh sized"! My brother is coming on our trip. Same height and 60 in waist. Not sure of weight, but I know that's the pant size! Is that similar to your brother?

Sorry, but you are responding to a thread and post that is over 5 years old.
It's from February, 2016.

oh well aware. It's a testament to how few anecdotes and experiences I can find of people his size. Hopefully OP will see and share, like you did!

There used to be a thread that gave a list of Pooh sized experiences...and all ears has a comprehensive ride list. Basically Disney World is Pooh friendly. There are some of the older rides that are a little tight and 7 Dwarves is still baffling why they made those cars the way they did...I’m 5’4 and it hurts my knees! Universal was a disappointment in complete

yes I would say that his waist size is about that too. We’ve been back a couple times since that post and he can still ride most things there.

we are going to avoid Universal completely for that reason. No use.

I'm pooh sized and had no real problems. The mine train at MK is a little tight, but it was mainly tight due to leg space.

My biggest thing was getting through the turnstiles to get to the Carousel of Progress!

I am 5'9" tall and weigh 360lbs. My waist is 54 and most of my weight is in my upper legs/hips. Been to Disneyworld over a dozen times and have tried every ride at all parks...
  • 7D Mine Ride is too tight for me. Been on it, but it was a bit painful on my hips/legs.
  • Space Mountain, Star Tours, Test Track and Dinosaur I can ride, but its snug (not too bad though)
  • I cant ride Pandora - Flight of passage (couldn't fit on the test seat outside)
I hope this helps some people.
