Overthinking this...

(Adult only trip, me and dh, POR, Sept 26-30)OK I have a week until I call for ADRs today the "official for now" times were posted. Turns out, our MK day will also be a Halloween party day (dates not official but it is a 7 close). I already have my regular tickets so we will be in the parks that day and possibly taking a break around 2-3pm before coming back for the party around 6-7pm.
So that being said. I am a park opener and closer... Dh is a park closer but probably won't be joining me until about 10 or 11am. His preference is to do a late lunch this day and that is great with me. I have a quick service and a table service for this day and my thought is using my ts for lunch and maybe grab a qs during the party if either of us get hungry later. Does this make sense?! Where would you eat your "big" meal for the day? Can anyone give some suggestions? Where would you eat?
I know I am over thinking this. Lmao

at MK, we usually do CP for dinner so we are right at the right place where we want to be...on Main Street and then we can go where we want...loved going to the Party..and Trick or Treating.

Personally I'm not a big fan of table service restaurants in the MK (although I haven't tried Skipper's Canteen). If I had to pick, I'd do The Plaza. Otherwise, I might take a little break and head to one of the monorail resorts for a meal. Wave at Contemporary, Kona at Poly, Grand Floridian Cafe at GF. (For lunch; more options for dinner)

As I'm writing this I'm thinking that not all QS are open during the party so that may impact your plans if there was one you were partial to.

None I am married too. Lol I like Columbia Harbor house but truthfully I am a one meal a day girl, and dh will eat anywhere.

Well...I have done 2 MNSSHPs. The first one we, DH and I, went to Epcot first and had F&W booth items for lunch and then went to the party around 4:30pm and planned to grab a CS meal. We ended up doing our 3 FP+ and then went Pecos bills and it was not very good. There were LONG lines/crowds and the food left a lot to be desired. Now, I'd go to Columbia Harbor House if they are open but I don't think all the CS places stay open on party nights.

Last year I went to the party with DDs. It was our arrival day and we did not have any other park tickets (nor APs) for that day so we went over at 4pm and, again, did our 3 FP+. But this time I booked a TS dinner for 6:30 at Tony's Town Square. I would have booked another place but Tony's is the only one I could get. It was not a great meal but better, IMO, than dealing with crowds/lines at a CS place.

Skippers Cafe is getting good reviews, but you can only get same day reservations there. Perhaps CRT would be fun.

If you are set on a TS for lunch...I'd go with LTT. I have always wanted to try LTT for lunch for the menu (we have done the family style dinner there many times).

This is probably a stupid question, but if I use a qs for lunch can I use my leftover ts for a qs later? Or do I use it as ts or lose it? Haha

I don't think you can use it as a CS...but you can book a signature place to use 2 TS credits.

You can use TS credits for QS, but they'll pull from your QS allotment first. You couldn't tell them to use a TS as a QS if you have QS available.

I think your plan is fine
We eat at the Plaza around 3 on our party days.
Then usually only DH cashes in a QS meal at Caseys before they close.
No one else usually needs another meal.
Just snacks at party

Our other option is only QS that day and use 2TS at CRT during trip

That would be fine. Our last day is the next day anyway. LOL We are only on property until about 2.

Would you want to leave the park for a break, or is that too crazy? Since not all CS's are open, and there will be tons of people there for the party, I would imagine you will have long lines for food at MK CS's. How about going over to the Contempo Cafe and have one of their meals (a few look substantial!) for a late lunch. Or take the boat to GF and eat at the Grand Floridian Cafe. It might be good to break up the day, but if it is easier to just stay in the park before the party starts, then I like ELSA711's plan of the Plaza (and hot dog corn nuggets later in the day - yum!).
