If we arrive before check in, we can park in overflow parking correct? Is there a charge to park there? Is there a time limit on how long you can park there? Just wondering if we get there early if we can go to a park before our site is ready.

There is no charge for the overflow lot. At check in, you will be given your parking permit and instructed to go to the overflow lot if your site is not available yet. There will be no issue with going to a park for the day, just display your parking permit in the windshield of the tow vehicle or motorhome.

As a matter of fact, they would love for you to go to a park. That way you are not riding your bike around the Reception Outpost looking in every 10 minutes trying to figure out when you site will be available. Who would do that:confused3

You do have to be careful in the overflow lot - delinquents have been known to vandalize your camper.

The only thing they don't allow is over-nighting in the overflow lot. Security will come and ask you to leave. Therefore, if you get to FtW a day early & there are no vacant sites you will need to leave and find other accomodations.

To many free-loading campers abused the overflow lot in the past & Disney put an end to it.

FYI - no Wal-Marts around Disney allow boon-docking in their lots, either.

Kind of OT, but when we were at FW last month, we noticed some rigs in the overflow lot for days/weeks at a time. MHs and TTs. Anyone know what this is about? We're curious because we know that no overnight parking is allowed there and just wondered under what circumstances you are able to leave your MH/TT in the lot for more than a few hours?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. There was an older motorhome with covers on the tires that was in the overflow lot for months. I think it was there the entire time we were there. There were also several units that were in the lot for a long time. Wondering also how that works.
