Overbooked bungalows??

Anyone else see JoJo Worlds video where Disney overbooked the Poly bungalows and he didn't get his stay there during the 4th? How does this happen? There are sooo few.

They had one available but I don't think they stayed in it since it only slept four. I just can't figure out how this happened.

It sounds like the Travel Agent messed up. I wonder if he rented DVC points or booked it on the Cash Side.

He keeps saying overbooked, but based on some of his language it sounds like they moved from the 28th to the 4th and they didn't actually have a confirmation number. It seems to be overembellished for the views it's more scandalous to say "Disney overbooked and bumped us" vs "Our Travel Agent made a mistake". I wouldn't buy that if they had a legitimate reservation to a bungalow that Disney would do a studio at BLT. They may have also opted for that room for the clicks too.

A big rule when watching any influencer is whatever you are seeing is curated and not "real" in a way to obtain more views.

Edit: Also I was tracking bungalow availability for different reasons and for pretty long time on the DVC side there hasn't been one open for the 4th for a while. And from the sound of it they just recently switched to the 4th.

The travel agent apparently did not read the communication from Poly, and mistook the correspondence as a confirmation when it was not.

Exactly, and as a Disney "expert/vlogger" he should know better.....

I'd never watched this guy before, and I could only made it to the part where they went back home and had to turn it off. No way this is the whole story. Like previous posters mentioned, the best guess is the TA screwed up, he's not smart enough to check anything himself and they decided to make a video to sensationalize it and gets clicks. Which, I guess worked .

I did erase the video from my viewing history so hopefully I won't get any recommendations for that channel in the future .

We got bumped once due to a maintenance issue, but we were moved to a CCV 3BD. To this day that is still my favorite place we have ever stayed on property, including the Bungalows which we did the next trip.

DS loves the Bungalows though so we will repeat them eventually.

Pro tip: if you click the "3 dots" on a video you can tell YouTube not to recommend that channel. Doesn't honor my request 100% IME, but works pretty well.

Only for a cruise. OBC. Now if the TAs ever get back agency exclusive rates then I will book.
