Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

Thanks for all the Easter wishes! I've been trying to catch up on all my subscribed threads this morning and it's rolled over to the afternoon. My boss has a 2 p.m. appointment coming in so maybe I'll come back and post a little more on my own report.;)

Saw your link in your current TR - dont know why I didnt notice it before. Looking forward to hearing more about your plans!

Ummmm, I didn't get that update posted did I? I hang my head in shame. :sad2: I realized last night that if I don't get a move on with this pre-trip report, the vacation will be here and I've not even finished it.

But, I can't not update ya'll on what's been going on around our house. We've had a couple of creatures show up at our place. Actually, we have all sorts of creatures around our house but this is the latest:

There was actually another raccoon eating from the bowl before this one came along and ran him off.

I didn't zoom in on these pictures. I took these out my back door. As you can tell, he wasn't scared. In fact, he's looking straight at me and seemed to be posing.

On the nights that we don't put the food out on the porch, they try to get into our dog, Oddball's, kennel and get his food.

Spring has sprung at our house BIG TIME! I thought I'd try to take some pictures of all of the flowers. My wisteria bush was covered in bumblebees.

****Gotta stop a second.

too funny! and too cute! we have those critters too but don't see them all that often with all the dogs around. I think they all stay on the 20 acres on the side of us...if I were them that is where I would stay...great trees, beautiful secluded pond!

your trip is going to be here before you know it! :yay:

I'm back. Now, on with more pics:

***Gotta stop again. Maybe I'll be back before we shut down for the day. I want to post pictures of our trip to the flea market.

Beautiful flowers. We have had great weahter this past week, but it's going downhill tomorrow. I can't wait til lour flowers start to come out.

We have a family of 5 raccoons at our house and we don't live in the country:confused3 If i go out at night I'll talk to them and they just sit down like a cat and look at me. Pretty wisteria. We had a wisteria incident here not to long ago. We moved into the house 6 yrs ago and i have been messing with my wisteria bush trying to get it to grow all the way around my fence in the backyard well last year it really started to do what I wanted it to and last month dh decided to plant a little vegatable garden and he cut my wisteria all apart:mad: Lets just say it didn't go over smoothly. Ok I just needed to vent.

Can't wait to hear about the flea market!

Beautiful flowers, Lisa!!!:goodvibes

My parents have some raccoons at their house too. They're not scared at my parent's house either. They get right up on the front steps and eat from the cat's dish. As a matter of fact one night it was really dark and my mom looked out and went to open the door thinking it was one of the cats and she was going to let them in.... but it wasn't the cat.:sad2: Boy did she get a surprise!!

I hope you had a happy Easter Lisa!

I love the wisteria! My grandma had a beautiful wisteria tree (bush?) at her old house. Those gorgeous flowers are one of the many things I miss about that house!

Cute little critter you have there! Does Oddball go crazy when he sees it?? My dog goes bananas when she sees the cat across the street! I can't imagine her reaction to a raccoon on her front porch! ;)

Great pics Lisa! Everything has bloomed so quickly here this year. I love all the beautiful colors. Raccoons creep me out...those big long claws. :lmao:

Lisa, I love the pictures of the flowers, was I suppose to find the eggs there :rolleyes1. Even though I grew up in the country, critters scare me. I know I am a big ole baby, but the thought of a raccoon and the rabies make me shiver :scared:.

I can not believe we are getting SOOOOOOOO close to our trips. I am at counting down work days before leaving now. I am at 17 work days after today :cool1::banana::yay:.

Wow, those raccoon pictures are great! It looks like you were standing right out there with him!

Your flowers are beautiful. The do the bees hang around all summer? I'd be scared.

We have bees almost year round. The only time we don't is in the dead of winter. My kids are scared to death of any kind of insect. When I was a little girl, I was outside playing and a swarm of bees decided that I looked like something good to cling to. My mom and dad had to, literally, pick the bees off me. I had over 100 bee stings over my upper body. Thank goodness I didn't get sick. So, you'd think that I'd be scared of bees too but I'm not.

The raccoons have always been around the house. Mama even has a mother raccoon and her babies that come to her backyard and eat.

I am ready to leave on my Disney trip too! At this point in time, I am counting how many weekends I have left to get ready. It's just 7 weekends! Sounds much better than 40+ days!

I commented to Hunter this morning that everything was sooooo green and pretty today. We have a pasture behind our house that had an old house on it years and years ago and the daffodils were blooming like crazy a week or to ago. It was beautiful!

I hope you had a happy Easter Lisa!

We did have a good Easter! The weather was pretty and we spent time with the family. Nothing can beat that.

The wisteria smells so very good. When we drove to Texas last weekend, there were wisteria growing all around the interstate. It was so pretty.

Yes, Oddball goes nuts when he sees the raccoons. He'll bark until he's almost hoarse.

Beautiful flowers, Lisa!!!:goodvibes

If I were to walk outside and make too much noise, the raccoons would scamper off but not far. They know they have it made at our house....fresh table scraps tossed out in the compost and food left out for them. They couldn't find a better place to be.

Cute friend and very pretty flowers.

The flowers have been blooming like crazy around here and everything is so green!

Lisa, the flowers are beautiful. :)

Aren't the wisteria beautiful! I love the smell they have too!

Saw your link in your current TR - dont know why I didnt notice it before. Looking forward to hearing more about your plans!

So glad tha tyou made it over! I have got to get this thing finished or it'll be time to start a new one.

How did you make the laundry detergent? I would love to not have to purchase it or to just have extra on hand when we run out of our regular laundry detergent.

I know that I posted the recipe several pages back. Let me go find it and I'll post it again. The stuff works really good!

Congrats on the party!!! I wanted to enter but it said only U.S. and I am in Canada :sad1:

I can't wait to see pictures from yours though!!!! Have fun for me too!

Too bad you couldn't register to get the Big Red Box.

That's really cool that you won the party. party: Any extra Disney time is always welcome. GOD BLESS AND HAPPY EASTER TO ALL

It's good to see you posting. How are you and the family?

OK, I'm with Dana....I grew up out in the country, but I'm a scaredy-cat girl all the way! :scared1: That raccoon has no shame. I mean, he knew you were there taking his picture, and he still kept eating your dog's food. The nerve!

Now, we live in a city (not a NYC sized city, but a city nevertheless), in a subdivision of about 300 houses, and we had a possum walking along the top edge of a backyard fence. It freaked me out!

Your wisteria looks beautiful. :thumbsup2 Does it smell just as good?
