Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

Hooray for Lacey coming home! That's awesome that you are moving that equipment out of her room for her...

I hope you do find room to squeeze in T-Rex!

Yay for Lacey coming home!! Yay that you got your countdown calendar done! Mine is saying 14 days!!!! I can't believe we're that close!

I know you are excited to have your girl home for a little while! Yea, Lacey and Jesse! I bet we don't hear much from you for a week. You just enjoy them!:cloud9:

When I need to see how far I am walking I drive it in my car and use the odometer to measure it. I am not on the sidewalk but I can get an approximate distance, anyway.

Oh, Samandryanmom, we will be there at the same time also, and we are staying offsite at the Marriot Grande Vista. We are arriving on May 30 and coming home June 6. :dance3:

Good morning all!

I have to share some sad news this morning before moving on to other news. One of my dear friends, who I met here on the Disboards, has lost her battle with Leukemia. Several of you knew Ginny and knew that she was a beautiful kind hearted woman. I would ask that you say a little prayer for her family that they are given the strength to get through this difficult time.

Thanks for all the "yea Lacey's home" posts. It's a bit difficult sharing her with Jesse but we're managing. It's just not the same as when she's home and we have her all to ourselves but at least we get to see her.

Tomorrow night, we are going to "corrupt" both Jesse and Lacey. We are taking them to a casino. We haven't been to a casino in about 2 or 3 years so that tells you, right there, that we aren't big gamblers. When Lacey turned 21, we laughed and said she could go to a casino now. She didn't go then but said she would like to go now just to see what it's like. So, Hunter is staying with Mama tomorrow night while we take Jesse and Lacey out to dinner and then to the casino. It's about a 2 hour drive from our house to the casino so we'll probably not wait until late before going.

We asked Jesse if his parents (his dad is a pastor) would get upset if we take him to a casino. He said they wouldn't. I remember one Sunday morning, our Associate Pastor spoke and he said something about he plays the lottery every now and then and thinks that God is okay with that because if he ever wins, the first 10% will be tithed.

Other than the casino, we have no real plans. I thought of one thing that I still needed to buy for the trip but then forgot it again before I wrote it down. I do that all the time.

I'm still debating whether or not to try and squeeze in lunch at T-Rex. We want to do some resort touring so I'm not sure where to squeeze it in.

I need to get a few straggling things off my desk. My boss' mother just had a cancerous polyp (spelling?) from her colon and they are leaving for MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston Sunday morning meaning I have to hold down the fort next week. Please keep my boss' mother in your prayers.

Glad Lacey is home safe and sound; the casino sounds like fun. There is one by Markie's school and he goes about twice a week (he loves to play blackjack; but he is smart...he takes no more than $30 with him and he quits if he wins more than $100 and goes home).

When I got the news about Ginny this morning I just broke down and cried. She died on what would have been my dad's 84th birthday and from her last message I thought she was getting better. I am so sorry that she is missing Austin's graduation--I know how much it meant to her to be there. She is in a restful place now (maybe her and Dad can talk about all of us DIS sisters), and I will always remember the fun we had with her here on the DIS.

Your bosses mom will be in my prayers.

Hello! Lisa
I am so happy to hear that Lacey is there! What a wonderful mother's day gift! You guys have fun on your casino trek! We go to the casino on the gulf coast, often. But, to eat!! I love the crabs...we rarely gamble any more...but every once in a while we will bring each a $20 (I know I know big spenders! :lmao: )...in fact when we asked Dayne where he wanted to celebrate his graduation he said he wanted to go eat crabs at the Hollywood.

I'm happy that you were able to find Hunter's pants; I need to go out and get Dayne a white button down, black tie, and black slacks. He never has time...I just finsihed telling him he HAS to make time to meet me a JCP or Belk. His graduation is on the 17th...he will wait until the 16th if I let him!

Great video thanks! for sharing!!!

Hello!

Finally thought I would come out of lurkdom and tell you I've really enjoyed reading your posts. I was beginning to feel like a stalker :rotfl: I love all the details and humor in your reports. You and your family seem like a great bunch! It's great to see what you post about CBR too because my family and I are staying there for the first time this July.

I hope you have a great trip, your plans sound great! It will be here before you know it! :)

Glad to hear you get to spend time with Lacey I know how much that means to you. River is only 6 and I always think about what it will be like when he grows up and moves away:sad1:

I only knew Ginny from her comments on your tr but she seemed like a very fun loving woman. To everyone who was friends with her and her family I'm very sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry about Ginny...I enjoyed reading your banter back and forth. I know she was very proud of her family, and I pray that they're holding up right now. :grouphug:

Your plans are looking good! You're getting so close now. I have to comment on the Red Box Party (I've gotten really behind on everything!), too - it looked like an awful lot of fun! Just having those Mickey balloons in the house would have been cool, I think (yes, I know - I'm such a nerd:rolleyes:).

Hope you're having fun with Lacey! Now go win some Disney money!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! LISA
HOPE YOUR DAY IS A WONDERFUL AND RELAXING ONE!:flower3:
I HOPE YOUR WEEKEND WITH LACEY AND HUNTER TOGETHER WAS AN AWESOME ONE!

Can't wait to hear what Lacey thought of the casino. I go often with my mom and dad, but I'm like Connie, I go to eat!! Casino buffets are the best!! :teeth: I never gamble, but I like listening to the bands a lot of them usually have.

Happy Mother's Day!
