Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

Oh, that's so great to hear. I hope all goes well with the cardiologist also! You all must be quite relieved!! And Flutter..... that's cute!

I am glad to hear that all the other tests came back fine. I will pray the the cardio appt goes well too. It is nice of the people to volunteer to help pay. Makes them feel good to help just as she has helped them.

I'm so happy to hear that things turned out so well for Lacey. I'm sure you are breathing a big sigh of relief and praying a big thank you prayer! :goodvibes

I'm so happy to hear that the blood tests came back okay!:goodvibes I'll continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey! Lisa
just checking in...so, happy to hear that her test came back normal :yay:
I will keep my prayers going for all of you that her EKG and cardio test will come back fine. Hopefully, she was just run down and she will have a perfectly normal reading when she goes in.
That is very nice of her friends to help her with the doctors cost; the Pay it Forward system is such an awesome thing! too bad more communities don't try it...
:wave2: Connie

That's GREAT news about Lacey's results!!!
How many days until your trip??

I'm am so glad that Lacey's labs came back with good news! I hope her Cardiologist appointment goes as well. :goodvibes Even if you don't like the idea of someone else paying the bill, doesn't it make you feel good that Lacey has helped others and they'd like to help her out in return?

Good morning to everybody!

I wanted to thank each and every one of you for the thoughts and prayers for Lacey. They mean the world to me and to her.

As you can all imagine, I was extremely relieved that the test results came back and all were negative/good. Now, we just have to hold out until she goes to the cardiologist. After talking with several family members, it seems that irregular heartbeats/arrythmia runs in the family on both my side and John's. We're all still alive and kicking with the exception of my Dad and he didn't die from just heart problems.

I'm feeling a little better about the church members kicking in to pay for Lacey's cardiologist appointment. We've prayed about it and thought about it a lot. I simply don't want someone to ever ever think that I don't want to pay or that I don't have the money to pay for my child's medical bills. We have been blessed and have the money to do it....thank God.

I've always been one of the first people to put together fundraisers, assemble clothing for people whose homes were destroyed by weather or fire, adopt a family at Christmas, etc. I know what joy I feel at doing those things so maybe it's time to be on the receiving end. I've not decided for sure yet but I'm feeling better about it.

Again, thanks to all of my dear Dis friends both old and new!

I hope to get an installment up today. Hang in there....I will be back!

glad that lacey's results came back negative/good. Praying for a good cardiologist appointment. Very generous of them for the church to pay for the appointment. Looking forward to ur next installments:)

Hi Lisa! I wanted to check out your PTR! I've only read the first page (I made myself stop there before I spend another night staying up waaay too late reading PTRs) but I can't wait to get caught up! I can tell from reading others' comments that it's going to be very entertaining!

I am thinking about Lacey and keeping her in my prayers. I think it is a wonderful thing that her Church family is wanting to help her with the bills. She has been helping them and now they want to repay her. God is good. You have helped so many and now everyone is wanted to give back. It is a wonderful feeling when you can help someone else that has helped you.

Awww, i'm sure everyone knows that you want to pay for the appointment yourself, but like you said giving feels good and I believe they all want to do that for you. You have good, caring friends.

I'm so happy to hear about Lacey's test results. I know you'll be happiest when you hear back from the cardiologist. I'll continue to keep ya'll in my prayers.

I know it's a weird feeling accepting help (especially financial help), but if you look at it as you giving them the opportunity to let them help you & Lacey, then it might be easier to accept. As you know, helping others offers benefits to the givers as well as the receivers - it just feels so good to help others out. I'm sure they understand that you can pay the bill, but they don't want you to have to pay it, KWIM?

Whatever you decide, I know it must make you feel so good knowing Lacey has such a great community of people who appreciate her & love her.

Hi Lisa! Well, I'm finally caught up with your pre-trip report!! Sounds like it will be an exciting trip with you mom coming along!! Hope she enjoys herself! Still thinking about Lacey! Hope all goes well with the cardiologist! Can't wait to read more!!

Hello!

Sorry I wasn't around much the last two days. My office computer was infected with a virus that was sooooo bad that the whole computer had to be rewritten. Now, I'm no computer buff (actually I don't know much at all except that I can type fast on 'em, send emails and surf the web:rotfl:) but I can figure out that the virus was baaaaad!

What does that mean for our office? All of our clients' ledgers are gone. I've been here almost two years so I can go back and recreate ledgers from the time that I came. Before that, nothing will be there except for the balance they owed at the time I started work. The computer guys reinstalled the bookkeeping system so I can start working on that as soon as they bring my computer back.

From what I understand, they were able to save all of my documents and client files. Thank goodness!

I just wanted to warn you guys that the computer guys said they believe the virus came from somewhere on Facebook. For those of you who know me, you know that I am super duper bad at checking Facebook so wouldn't you know that the one or two times that I did, the stupid virus would worm it's way into my computer. Am I telling my boss this little fact? Absolutely, positively, 199% NOOOOOOOOOOO! My lips will be super glued shut to this fact.:rolleyes1

Oh, and I had protection something or other (told you I am not computer literate:laughing:) on my computer and even it couldn't stop the virus.
I don't know if I'll be able to get an update posted today because the computer guys are bringing my office computer back some time this afternoon. In the meantime, I'm working off my laptop which sucks. I know there are a lot of folks that like laptops but it takes me a while to get used to using this one.

I almost forgot! Lacey's chest x-rays came out good. The doctor didn't see anything out of the ordinary. The only thing we are waiting on it her visit to the cardiologist on Monday.

Talk with ya'll later!

ooo yikessss viruses r a pain in the butt! i once had one which like froze everything and such, went to best buy, for them to remove it all would of been around 200 or 300 bucks(yikes!) so i went on another computer at home, took my usb drive download a free sofeware some ppl told me about put it on my laptop, manage to upload it and scan everything and move everything, and now my laptop works as good as new and nothing bad happen ever since:)

But thats good u were able to recover ur client files and such. Keeping Lacey in my parayers that it will be a good appointment with the cardiologist

Sounds like a nightmare with the computer. It happened to us about a month or so ago we were without the computer for a week and I felt very cut off from everything. Sounds like your virus is alot worse then ours. Good luck getting everything sorted out.

I'm still thinking of Lacey and wishing her the best:goodvibes

Well, I'm back and, guess what.....I'm typing on my office computer. The computer guys were able to restore all of our client's ledgers from Quick Books! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Since the computer is several years old, they found that it was super dusty inside and because something or other and something or other and something or other (told you I was computer illiterate:rotfl:), they can't guarantee how long it will stay running. However, they now have a backup and if it shuts down now, it's simply because it's getting old, not because of the virus. If that happens, they will be able to retrieve everything from the computer and put it on a new one. The total bill was $279.00 but it was well worth it because we would have lost way more than that in client billing alone.

I am as happy as a pig lying in the mud in the sunshine! No recreating everything from scratch. Even better than that? I don't have to listen to my boss mumble and grumble about the computer virus any more.

Once I get caught up on the stuff I need to do now that my computer is back, I'll be posting more plans. I promise I'll do it sometime tomorrow.
