Over the river and through the FUN!

Awww I love your little "tour guide" picture at the beginning! Did Jill buy that "Joy from the World" shirt for Brooklynn? I thought it was so cute. :cutie: And the Grumpy Bah Humbug shirt would be perfectttt for my BF  He likes to pretend like he hates Christmas, I know he's lying though.

Once again, such beautiful pictures all together MeMom. The WL is just gorgeous, especially around Christmas time. :goodvibes

I did buy the shirt for Brooklynn. I had been looking for it all week in an extra small and had not been able to find it. I finally found one there and bought it immediately.

Memom,

I loved your WL pictures. That is one place I would really like to stay one day. Right now I can't afford it and I can't see paying so much for a hotel since we spend most of our time in the parks.

I love to see pictures of Trent and Brooklynn together. They look like they are best friends. And Jill looks so cute in her Eeyore shirt. Is that a Disney maternity top? I have never seen one of those. Very cute.

Wonderful WL pics!! I look forward to seeing it at Christmas. That roaring fire with some hot cocoa...ah!

The pics of Brooklyn being your tour guide and in front of the totem pole are adorable. :cutie:

OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!!!!!!!! Can you please tell me what the name of this shirt is??? I was dying to buy this when I went in June, but I had to decide between the turqouise blue bag with the yellow flower mickey head on it and this shirt...But I didn't realize that I could call customer service and order one....I really want to call and order one but I can't figure out for the life of me what it's called

I didn't see your post before I saw your PM. I was thinking you were talking about the purple shirts we all bought. I'm not sure about this shirt, but just call WDW Merchandise and describe it, and hopefully they'll be able to help you locate it.

So I oficially love your tr!!! I started mine--check it out....it's called (My first time back in 4 years...) Anyways--I am subscribing and calling tomorrow about that shirt!! Jill--Congratulations on your precious little baby girl!!! And btw....your daughter is Gorgeous!!!! Keep up the good work!! Do you know what the funny thing is? When I went in 2004 with my marching band, I bought the set of plastic disney princess cups that you posted a photo of!!

Trent loves to mess with Brooklynn and Brooklynn loves to be messed with by her Bubby. He is so used to lifting weights that are several times heavier than she is that he can lift and throw her around no problem which she loves. They are really sweet together.

Thanks for the compliment on the top. It is a maternity shirt I got it at Walmart like my Mickey one for about $5.

Well, I just have to say...I love your tour guide!!! :goodvibes

I really would love to look around WL. I have never been there!! I think that is what we need to do next time is a resort tour!! The poly is my favorite!!!

all caught up.

great pics.

the tour guide looked excited to be there.

just posted an update about moving and a trip on my tr, check it out if you can.

I agree with you about the heart ache of a sick child. I have been following several blogs about families with sick kids...it is heart wrenching and life changing. wow

Onto the trippy! I love Wilderness Lodge! Lunch looked yummy! I love that you do lots of half days at the parks and tour all of the resorts and things outside of the parks too. You really do a great job at that. I am glad too cause we get to see so much too! So where are you going on the boat???? To MK??? To the buses??? To the monorail????? :confused3

That's a great idea! So cute!

Glad everyone is feeling better!

I'm also keeping my eye on how close she's getting to the line on the Soarin' height marker. :)

I love the totem pole/height marker! I'll have to look for that on our trip since we'll be eating at WCC. :thumbsup2 We've been there once before, but I don't remember that.

We ate at Whispering Canyon once, and it is Trent's request that we eat there again this summer. He and John were pretty much in heaven with all that meat that was replenished freely!

The totem pole is over in front of The Mercantile - on the opposite side of the lobby from Whispering Canyon.

Wilderness Lodge strikes me as the perfect Christmastime resort!

Yes, it does! It is so beautiful and warm and cozy there, especially then.

Glad your girls are feeling better. :)

The WL looks like a great way to spend an afternoon. It looks so massive. I can't wait to see it.

What a cute idea taking her pic infront of the totempole each trip. :thumbsup2

BrooklynnsMommy it's good news to hear your doctor's apt went well. Not too much time left until you have her in your arms. :cloud9:

We almost always visit WL on our trips. We try to get to all of the deluxes. It's just become as much a part of our trips as going to DTD and the parks.

She said she's made great progress on Isabella's room this week, so she's feeling better about the timeline she has sort of planned out.

I love that shirt with Mr Potato head! I think Jill should get that shirt this summer, but make sure she packs a yellow crayon, in case she gets bored!! Glad to hear that everyone is feeling better in your neck of the woods. Great pics of the stunt guy falling from the top of the building. I've only seen that show once, and all that I remember was that it was HOT!! We sat towards the front, so we could feel the heat from the fire.

In the summer, it's almost unbearable in that place, but the show is still good and exciting. I was happy with the 'falling man' picture.

Look at that cute little Brooklyn posing in front of the totem pole! Oh Lord have Mercy she is too cute! :) I actually thought of her this morning when I woke up and saw my hair-do! (I went to bed with it wet and one side sort of matted down in the shape of my face. The other side looked like it had been inspired by Medusa's snakes!) Thankfully my hair is now long enough for a ponytail!

I wish I had gone over to WL to see it all decked out for Christmas...thanks for letting me see it through your eyes! With fabulous pictures of course! :)

You'll have to see it in person next time. Pictures don't do it justice. There's a thread that is dedicated to WL pictures, and it will make you want to go and live there!!!

WL looks so beautiful! Last time we went we stayed in a cabin at the campground, but for some reason we never made it to the lodge :confused3

We have never resort hopped to just look at them, so the only other resorts I've seen are ASMo, Contemporary, and the inside of our cabin at FW :lmao: ......Maybe this trip!

We're going to try the cabins eventually. I like everything about them except that they have only one bathroom.

Yes, yes, yes...do resort hop! You'll love it!

Beautiful shots from WL. Great totem idea too.

One of these years, Brooklynn will be writing her own trip reports and showing the olden day pictures of her growing up by the totem pole.

Ahhhh...WL! :cloud9:

Haha, she's like "C'mon slow pokes!" I'd love to have her as my tour guide.

We love this part of WL. When sis was in a wheelchair, dad let go of it at the top and she screamed the whole way down while we ran after her......laughing so hard! :rotfl2:

That must have been scary...

and funny!
Sounds just like something we would do.

We have two of those.. Tink and the snowman... the snowman was 50% off after Christmas! I also love the Picture of Brooklynn the tour guide! WDW should hire her for VIP tours!

That's when I want to buy my stuff - when it is half price!

Awww I love your little "tour guide" picture at the beginning! Did Jill buy that "Joy from the World" shirt for Brooklynn? I couldn't remember. but apparently she did.
Like the kid needs another Disney shirt.
Jill is always getting her something every where we go.

Oh wait...
that's me.

Never mind. ;)

Ugh, I'm sorry Jill and Brooklynn were both sick -- I'm glad that they are feeling better. And that's so unfair about the apple turnovers, especially to a pregnant woman!!

Okay I didn't notice this until I went back to drool over the WL pics -- thanks!

I should put a REALLY LARGE picture of my dad in the glasses so it's the first thing you see. That might frighten people, though.

I will do my best to do my duty to Jill and her stomach if I go in March to silently stalk, capture, and bring back an apple turnover for her.

I want to see all your pictures on the report.
The good, the bad, and the wierd! :rotfl:

Just like trent the WL is my favorite! I could smell the lobby from your pictures thank you!! Right now it looks like we are staying there in May, I'm so excited im beside myself I feel truly blessed!

You are lucky. You have stayed at a lot of great places.

I know what you mean about smells. I can look at a picture on someone's report and just visualize myself there and use my internal smell-o-vision as well.

I did buy the shirt for Brooklynn. I had been looking for it all week in an extra small and had not been able to find it. I finally found one there and bought it immediately.

Good. If any child in America is lacking Disney t-shirts, it's her.
I'll see how I can help her out in a few weeks, too.

Trent thinks the world of that little girl. He was hoping for a niece, and he got a good one. She knows when he's around, it's time to hide and chase and bounce and flip and do a lot of fun stuff. Drew laughs at her, but he's not much on the interacting part.

Ahhhh, I just adore Wilderness Lodge. :lovestruc

Me, too!

Wonderful WL pics!! I look forward to seeing it at Christmas. That roaring fire with some hot cocoa...ah!

The pics of Brooklyn being your tour guide and in front of the totem pole are adorable. :cutie:

Now you've made me want hot chocolate. It's very cool and windy here, so I think I shall go have some when I am finished here.

We're very glad you're enjoying being with us. We love new readers. We love old readers, too. We love tall ones and short ones and normal ones and strange ones. We love 'em all.

Gotta love the Walmart specials! :cool1:

I want to do the WL resort tour with the guide. I think his name is Ranger Stan, but I read at one point that he was retiring. I'll have to ask when we're there next.

all caught up.

great pics.

the tour guide looked excited to be there.

just posted an update about moving and a trip on my tr, check it out if you can.

I did check out your news. Congratulations ont he new place! And even more congratulations on a possible Europe trip!!!

We do enjoy mixing it all up. The boat will take us somewhere wonderful, of course, because we're in Disney World!

********************************

Jill called just a little while ago. They were at the mall, and Brooklynn decided she would like to try the bungie jump thing. She was standing in line holding her money, and Jill sent that picture on the phone. I want to see the video of the action. She said she'll put that up later today. I would love to have seen her face as she went up in the sky the first time!

Now, off to the kitchen for that hot chocolate!

oh, i can't wait to see bungie-jumping brooklynn!!! those things are so fun for kids. my best friend in tennessee, melanie, has a little girl that LOVES to do it. she's in gymnastics and she's not at all afraid to go REALLY high - scares the bejesus outta me!

by the way, tonight is our girls' skate night. i'm sure i will have lots of pics and it will be a fun, goofy time!

I also want to see Brooklynn doing the bungie jump! She is brave, I'm almost 25 and I'm not sure I'd want to do that.

Oh, and trust me, there are some weird pictures coming up on my TR. My dad felt he had a lot to make up for. :rotfl2:

Hello Memom and Brooklynns Mommy (I hope I'm doing this right) I decided to stop lurking and let you know how great your reports are. I love all the pictures. Brooklynn is a real cutie!

Tammy

The bungee jump thing always makes me feel sick to just watch it. I'm afraid I'm not very good with that kind of thing :upsidedow

I hope you had a good night of skating. I'm going over to your report in a minute to see if you've posted anything yet.

If not, I'll assume you were

a) too exhausted

or

b)in traction. :)

I have a feeling, though, that even if you were down with casts on both legs and arms, you'd find a way to make life fun!

Any baby news this week?
For your brother, I mean. :rotfl:

Your dad seems like a fun guy. I do goofy things, too, but I do them very, very quietly and I don't allow pictures to be taken. ;)

Has all of your snow melted away up there now?

Bungie Jump????!!!!  She is brave!!!!!!!

She picks and chooses when she's brave. When we were watching Sleeping Beauty last week and it was getting a little scary, she said, "Hold hands, MeMom." We held hands and made it through the evil part.

We'll know she's really brave when she dares to try out Goofy's Barnstormer again!

Hello Memom and Brooklynns Mommy (I hope I'm doing this right) I decided to stop lurking and let you know how great your reports are. I love all the pictures. Brooklynn is a real cutie!

Tammy

We are honored that you decided to join us - and especially that we were your first post!!! :cool1:

We love taking the pictures for you to enjoy. If all goes well, there will be a whole new batch coming up after this trip is over. If we can pretty much have this one finished by mid-March, Jill can give live updates of my mini-trip, and then I'll bring lots of Flower and Garden Festival pictures back to share with everyone.

Make yourself at home, and join in whenever you want.

The bungee jump thing always makes me feel sick to just watch it. I'm afraid I'm not very good with that kind of thing :upsidedow

I've watched other people doing it, and I think it looks pretty fun, but I don't have any kind of motion sickness issues. What I can't take is those virtual roller coasters where they lock you in a little box and toss you around. :scared1:
The tossing part I could do, but to pay someone to lock me in a small space is just my idea of 'the hot place'!!! :rotfl:

******************************

I hope everyone has a nice Sunday planned...or not planned, as the case may be.

Yesterday was busy with errands and mundane stuff. Saturday is usually the day I allow myself to take a complete break from schoolwork, but usually Sunday afternoon I have to break down and grade a set of papers or ten, or make some plans, or fill out mounds of paperwork of some kind. Yesterday, though, I did do some school stuff, just because I have so much to do right now. I made chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, and sausage for a crew of boys who had spent the night. I also did some fun stuff that is in pre-preparation for a fun activity we hope to be doing (and sharing with you) in late March. I caught up on laundry and dishes, too.

Hopefully, Jill will have a chance today to share Brooklynn's high-flying adventures from yesterday. She (Brooklynn) has been waking up in the middle of the night lately and it has been tiring Jill out. They went to Build-a-Bear Workshop yesterday to let her make a special sleep buddy. The story is that whenever Brooklynn wakes up, she can grab her special sleeping friend and cuddle with it to get herself back to sleep instead of going and waking Jill up. We're hoping the idea catches on quickly, so that Jill can get a full night's sleep. Maybe she can fill us in on how it went the first night sometime today, too.

By the way, it appears that the boat took us back over to Magic Kingdom where we boarded and bus and went back to the room for a while, because this is the next picture I have.

My room window at Music.

IMG_0129.jpg

I guess we went back to the room and rested and freshened up before going out to Hollywood Studios to see the official opening night of Osborne Lights.
