She is so cute jumping Jill! And very brave!
I'm kind of surprised she didn't chicken out when the guy started harnessing her up.
How neat! I bet she had a blast! I can see how that would be a big hit. It looks like a lot of fun.
Can you picture yours doing it? It does look like fun!
That video is awesome! My daughter did that same thing at the Mall of America when she was about 4 yrs old and decided than and there that she wanted to do gymnastics. She is now almost 12 and in her 7th year of competive gymnastics. Look out!
You never know what action is the beginning of something bigger than you think. I got Trent a Little Tikes basketball goal when he was a little bitty thing, and he never stopped dribbling and shooting after that. He ended up spending about a million hours of the next eighteen years playing basketball! It would have been more than that, but his accident kind of took the college plans on a different path.
Wow, what a brave little girl AND a brave little Mommy. Brooklynn did great and I'm glad that you shared it with us.
Jill said she has been wanting to do that for a long time, and the time seemed right. It's so fun to watch your kids experience things like that, and it's also a lot of fun to watch your kids watch their own kids, because then you get two kinds of joy in one. I not only enjoyed seeing Brooklynn, but I got a kick out of Jill encouraging her on the sideline. I could hear her laughter, and that made me smile as I pictured her seeing Brooklynn do that.
Oh how cute!! What a brave little thing she is! I'm glad she enjoyed it!
I too had a water bed when I was younger!! I was about 9 and we had to put the bed rails on the side to keep me from slipping out of it! It was a sort of dusty-rose velvet. I loved it so much and it was nice and warm. But, in the end, my dad was convinced I would either puncture it, fall out, or ruin my spine, so I was convinced to get a canopy "princess" bed instead. Too funny!
I never had a waterbed, but that would have been my worry - that I would puncture it and have a room filling slowly with water.
MeMom, love your window at ASMu, looks so cute!
Way to go Brooklynn jumping on the "bounce"

She did such a good job!
I hope Brooklynn's sleeping buddy helped her sleep through the night. When I was a little bit older than Brooklynn I had a SERIOUS sleeping problem. Very very hard times for me and for my parents. I would sleep about 3 hours out of the night because I was scared to go to sleep for whatever reason. There was really nothing for me to be scared about at all! So I hope that her sleeping buddy will help her and you, Jill.
Jill says she can't put her finger on the problem, because Brooklynn isn't saying she's scared or hurt. She's researched sleep problems on the internet, and she even came up with the idea that it could be something like sleep apnea that is waking her up. If it keeps up, maybe doctors will be able to help more. I am really hoping it is just a phase she's going through that will run its course before there's another little one interrupting Jill's sleep. That could make for a miserable mommy, especially with trying to work, too.
Thanks
BrooklynnsMommy for sharing the video of your crazy haired jumping beauty. She was brave to go so high.

She must have liked it, if she wanted to go again and flip.
MeMom you will have to go there and see her jump for yourself.
I wonder if Lexi has the same Build a Bear pup? Does he have a spotted eye? She wants the Hello Kitty pyjamas to go with her Hello Kitty BAB.
Sunnystace so you had Dusty rose velvet...

Maybe the velvet rails were a Canadian thing.

I always wanted a canopy bed, I had bunk beds so I could have sleep overs instead.
Yeah, she must have liked it even with being a little scared.
Funny thing; she didn't ask to go on Barnstormer again when she got off of it!
how fun--what great parents letting Brooklynn try out the jump activity!
I'm very surprised John allowed her to go on it. He has his serious face on in the pictures - the one he uses when he's lecturing her about something. I'm sure he was doing a mental inspection of the cables, too, while she was being harnessed.
Here is the little girl getting ready for bed. She chose her Princess nightgown to wear. And she is very original with her dog's name it is ...
Sleepy Puppy!
(Red eye correction isn't working on photobucket right now. I'll try again later so that her demon side is hidden.)
She comes by it honestly....from a family that calls the cat 'Cat'.
Do they make a chipped tooth correction?
Poor little girl. She had to go and take after her uncle in the accident department. That could make for a long many years of cracked teeth, broken bones, and assorted stitches.
She doesn't look like a demon to me.
She looks like a perfect little angel who never gives her mommy one second of trouble.
I think you make up these 'demon' stories you tell me.
Pooksma and I both got a kick out of the video. She looked like she had a great time. She looks pretty happy with her new Sleepy Puppy too.
Has Declan ever tried the bungee thing?
I think I was spelling it wrong earlier, but I don't spell bungee too often, to be honest. It hasn't been on any of our Spelling lists this year.
WOW! I can't believe how high Brooklyn went. She's very little to be going that high and not being scared.
So sorry to Jill that Brooklyn is waking up in the night.
That makes for a cranky mommy in the morning. Especially when she's trying to grow a baby! That's hard work, doesn't she know that??? Hopefully her sleep puppy will help her.
And Jill is already cranky enough without help.
But don't tell her I said that!
Sleepy Puppy is pretty cute, isn't she?
The jammies are cute, too.
Too cute! I hope Brooklynn sleeps well... pregnant mommies need their rest! (wait all mommies need their rest, too bad my 5 month old does not realize this!)
That's just it - this is the time when Jill needs to be 'storing up' all that good sleep to get through the months ahead, and it's not working out so well for her. I hope Puppy is magic!
Oh, she's just so cute! I love Sleepy Puppy and their PJ's!
I love how she said that she "needed" to do the bungie again, because she needed to flip. I have to give her a lot of credit, I would not have done well on that.
I can just hear her saying she 'needed' to flip. I'm sure she'll be doing more jumping things in the future, so we'll watch for that flip to come in time.
Mine too!! what is it with 5 mos old boys who are not sleeping through the night. He is doing better though...just fusses a little bit around 3 am and sometimes later than that too. It is hard especially when he was sleeping through the night before that. But the good news is that he is now sleeping in his craddle and not his car seat (he had major acid reflux)
Jill...i hope brooklyn sleeps through the night for you now. Try to get a little sleep now....you're definitely going to need it in a couple of months. Brooklyn was soo brave doing that jump thing.
OT...but I am watching the oscars and that hugh jackman can dance! It was too funny watching him doing some type of hip hop dance.

But he was good though!
Let's all hope that 'Bella Rie' is an awesome sleeper, for Jill's sake!
I sure hope Sleepy Puppy does the trick! She looks like she is very excited for bed!
Wishing everyone in your house a great night's sleep!
Jill can let us know later today.
Maybe I need a Sleepy Puppy to put me back to sleep when I wake up.
It would have to come with a baseball bat to knock me back out, I'm afraid.
I'm still waiting for my 7 month old to sleep though the night half the time! I was spoiled by DD being a really good sleeper as a baby, DS on the other hand would rather be awake because he doesn't want to miss anything!
Jill was the worst sleeper of my three. The boys were a breeze compared to her. Of course, I wasn't working when she was little, so if we had a bad night, we had the luxury of napping in the daytime, which Jill doesn't have now.
The jumping pictures and video are great. I love the look on her face. Next time you guys do it I bet she will be flipping all over the place
How CUTE!! She is getting SO big.
I hope you, Brooklynn and sleepy puppy all have a great night sleep
Hope you are feeling well. Let me know if you get up here and we all could go to lunch or something. I would love to if it's possible!!
Next time Jill comes up for a Saturday, we'll meet you at Opry Mills again, if you want to. We can eat at the food court and hit the
Disney Store.
Jill, let us know when that would be convenient for you.
********************************
I was at Opry Mills yesterday for a minute. I went to the Disney Store to pick up the High School Musical 3 DVD that I had ordered for Jill's Valentine present. I looked around, but didn't buy anything else. There was nothing new since we were just in there last weekend. They did have a lot of beach towels, bathing suits, sunglasses, and flip flops, so I have faith that the cold weather will go away eventually and we will have a summer!
There was a little girl buying a princess crown, and she had the biggest smile on her face. I bet she spent the whole day wearing that thing after she got it.
Have a Magnificent Monday, everyone!
Hey, I just thought of a new one.
How about Million Dollar Monday?!?!?
That's the one where I win the lottery and get all my bills paid with some leftover and buy DVC for everyone and we all live happily ever after!
Yeah, that's it.
