Over the river and through the FUN!

Great Parade Pics! I showed one of my friends the pic of Trent and Jarvis (sp?) and she wants to know why all of the good guys always live so far away???

Great update & piccies! I know I'm married but can easily fall in love with men who adore kids ... I'm sure you know what I'm referring too!!!!!!!!!!!!! (as does every woman on your thread!) :rotfl:

Happy Tuesday!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I think it is very cute to see a man's heart just melt when he holds a little one.

I've made it through page 2! :cool1:

I just wanted to stop and add to the conversation I briefly read about babies and birthweights. :rolleyes1

My first was 9 lbs 14 oz - born 2 weeks early.

My second was 9 lbs 10 oz - born 3 weeks early. (so he probably would have been bigger if born around the same time)

My third was 10 lbs 6 oz born on his due date.

With my first I passed the first glucose test/screening. With my second, I failed the first, but passed the second. With my third, I passed the first test, but because I was measuring so far ahead, they had me take the 3 hour test and I failed. They think I might have had gestational diabetes with all three, just not diagnosed. I did check my blood sugar daily with my last pregnancy and I never had any issues. Never needed insulin.

I had all three naturally (no drugs with the second and last). The last one was the only one I had trouble delivering as his shoulders got stuck.

Anyway - just my contribution (or war story as I like to call it :goodvibes ).

I just keep saying wow to all these big babies! You girls probably do have some war stories!

Enjoying your trip report!

We are always happy to have new readers.
I hope you'll enjoy all of our Disney fun, and we'll try to give you some pictures to make you feel like you're there. Feel free to join in the conversation any time.

I'm still working my way through - on page 18 now! :cool1:

Anyway - I just read and saw where you had the holiday special at Earl of Sandwich (a favorite of ours :thumbsup2 ) and I'm so hungry right now that I'm drooling thinking about it. How cool that they have that on the menu during the holidays!! :goodvibes

Oh, man, that sandwich is so gooood!

Spoken like a truly proud Mama!

I am proud of him. He is a very, very fine young man.

Wow, with all this attention those handsome men are getting on here, I can only imagine what it's like for them around town. :rotfl: I agree with ALL the others, very cute! ;)

Brooklynn sure does love her Bubby! Adorable reaction to seeing him. :cutie:

They do turn some heads, but they're both level-headed. They know it's not all about the looks, and they're not interested in the shallow girls. They will both be absolutely wonderful husbands and fathers someday.

Brooklynn's face is very telling about their relationship, isn't it?

your parade reports make me long to see one in person again!!!Awesome pictures:thumbsup2

Right now, they make me long to feel the warmth of that day again. It is freezing here!

Great spot for the Parade! We've never seen it from there so it was great to see how it looks from there. :)

We've seen it from many different spots. I think my favorite was from the porch at Tony's after we had eaten. We had nice chairs to sit in and no crowd around us.

I'm all caught up! :woohoo:

I'm not going to comment on everything because there was just so much to see and read. :goodvibes But, I will say a few things.

# 1 - Brooklynn is pure sweetness. :lovestruc

# 2 - This is a very special TR.

# 3 - I love your writing MeMom - and your sense of humor. :thumbsup2

# 4 - I have only ever seen Spectromagic as far as parades go, but I think your pictures have convinced me to squeeze some in on our upcoming trip.

I'm so glad you posted on my PTR, which brought me here to meet your lovely family. Looking forward to lots more. :flower3:

You're missing something if you haven't seen the parades. The Jammin' Jungle Parade at AK is probably my favorite.

I love Spectro, too! Jill and I contain ourselves, but inside we are busting out with
On this magic night,
a million stars will play beside us,
Cast a spell of light,
glimmering, shimmering, carouseling...
Round the world tonight,
a symphony in Spectromagic,
Pure enchantment lights our way!!!

I love it when you first hear the Spectro music, but you can't see it coming yet. It's quite exciting!

Okay, we need to see the day parade at MK- which one do you/Brooklyn like best? We are huge Spectro fans.... but always miss the daytime one!

Jammin' Jungle is probably my favorite and then Spectro. Epcot used to have a cool parade, but it no longer exists.

The last daytime parade I saw was in 2004 and that was a Christmas one -- I think it's time for us to pull up a piece of curb for the 3:00 one.

I died laughing about the comment to students!!! :rotfl:

Seven Dwarves? Hmmm...there is Sneezy, Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, Bashful, Dopey...who am I missing???

If you can pull yourself away from the awesomest pool in WDW in May, maybe you can see the parade!

Now how could a teacher possibly forget Happy????

HAPPY! Took me forever to think of it.

You'd make a good teacher. :rotfl:

That's it!!! It was so not coming to me!

Write them ten times each, please. ;)

I've been reading along for awhile...I hardly ever post anywhere....ever...I was, for some reason, compelled to share that Tolkein says that the plural of dwarf is dwarfs.

Also, I love your TRs! I like that it seems like everyone reading them is part of one big family! Keep it up!

I looked it up and saw the 'controversy'. I didn't read too much of it, though, but I did see a Tolkien reference. The dictionary says either, but I'm really not sure which one I prefer. Luckily, I don't write the word that often, so I'll try not to stress about it.

We're glad you're joining us! Maybe we can convince you to post more often.
And you are right, we're a big happy bunch of 'family' here.

Happy, CP!
You got it?
Happy!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous parade pictures!!!!!!!!!

Dwarfs: Sleepy, Happy, Grumpy, Dopey, Sneezy, Bashful, Doc!!!! I always remembered them that way from watching the Disney Channel when I was 8 years old!!!:rotfl2:

See, watching TV makes you very, very smart!
You could win a million dollars on a game show someday with that answer!

Every time I see this float, I am grateful that there was a Walt Disney and that he started all of this. Just think of all the people we know and all the good times we have had because of what he started.

:goodvibes

I hope so!! If I do, I am taking all of us to Disney World!!! Mark it down!!!!:lmao:

So you like Jammin' Jungle the best---- do tell. I loved your pictures and all but I wonder why. We never seem to last at AK that long...maybe we could come back for it.

Oh, I thought that trip was a big Dis meet. I don't know where I got that. I guess because you always seem to be meeting new Disers!

That would be awesome to buy outright and just pay dues! That would be a dream come true in a big way!
no problem. I am sure I will run into some while I am there. Several of us are planning a NYC meet.
well as long as this place sells it will happen. I am hoping. Then to have matching points we would probably use them in June and stay at SSR while the rest are at POR. Just a boat ride away. We will see, it all depends on the selling and buying of the new place.

Beautiful pics. That parade makes me smile every time I saw it.

I am so HAPPY!Oh so HAPPY that I have that last dwarf's name cemented in my memory now -- that ten times each really helped, MeMom. ;) :rotfl:

Great Parade Pics! I showed one of my friends the pic of Trent and Jarvis (sp?) and she wants to know why all of the good guys always live so far away???

Thanks on the pictures.

You'll just have to have your friend come down and try being a southerner for a while. There are some very nice, good-looking young men down here!

I knew if anyone around here understood that sentiment, you would. I really do often think how what other people have done and are doing affects our lives. I guess since I was robbed at gunpoint all those years ago (two guys, two guns), I've more often thought about what life would have been like had one of them decided to move his finger just half an inch and actually shoot. Two people I did not know had my whole future in their hands - in a big, bad way. I think of drunk drivers who hit and kill other people who were just driving along minding their own business and how someone else changed the lives of others - again in a bad way. But then, there are the good ways other people's decisions and actions end up changing the lives of people they don't know, and I think Walt Disney and Disney World is a perfecty example of that. What if he had decided to be a plumber or a baker and there was no such thing as Disney World. Look at all the good times I would not have shared with my kids and friends there, and even though you can't miss what you never had, I'm really glad someone I never personally knew ended up doing what he did that added so much pleasure to my life in this way.

Of course, he had a great affect on my finances, too, and I may have to speak to him about that someday in the great beyond! :rotfl:

I hope so!! If I do, I am taking all of us to Disney World!!! Mark it down!!!!:lmao:

Awesome! I've got my Disney calendar ready!

This month's picture is Mission:Space, by the way, which I doubt seriously I will ever ride. If there is one Disney World ride I will probably never, ever do, I'm pretty sure it's going to be that one. Now if they could figure out a way to have it open on the sides, where I could see open space while I'm on my mission, I would gladly get on board!

So you like Jammin' Jungle the best---- do tell. I loved your pictures and all but I wonder why. We never seem to last at AK that long...maybe we could come back for it.
I just like the music and all the puppet-like animals, and the colorful jeeps are cool. Maybe someday when you sleep in later and get to AK later, you could stay for the parade before you leave. I think you would enjoy it!

no problem. I am sure I will run into some while I am there. Several of us are planning a NYC meet.

I hope the apartment sells and you get to have the DVC. That will be very cool to know you've got a home within a few steps of Magic Kingdom for the rest of your life!

I like the parades. I didn't realize so many people didn't watch them, I guess, but I enjoy them.

It's not supposed to get above the 20's here for a couple of days, which means heating bills will be higher this month. Don't they know that interferes with my budgeting plans??? You people up north must have outrageous heating bills! I hate that for you.

Have a great day!

I am so HAPPY!Oh so HAPPY that I have that last dwarf's name cemented in my memory now -- that ten times each really helped, MeMom. ;) :rotfl:

Sometimes we (the few members of the Early Birds Club) type over each other in the mornings.

I'm glad to know my little writing exercise helped seal the information in your mind. One day you may find yourself competing against Heather on a game show! :rotfl:

Great parade pics MeMom!!!

I just re-read about you having the Holiday Sandwich at EOS... Mum and I had one each (I wanted to share but she wouldn't and guess what, she ended up leaving 1/3!) but must say I didn't enjoy it. BUT, I was still going through the "ick at most foods" pregnancy phase and still suffering morning sickness  (which I still am today by the way!!! ) and I really didn't like mine :sad2: I ended up going back for the tomato soup which was YUMMY!

On our 2nd visit there, she had another Holiday Sandwich and I had a plain turkey and swiss sandwich - boring but yummy! and more tomato soup!

xxx

I am with you on that one! I have never ridden that ride! I am not a fan of being in enclosed spaces! I used to go caving which I could not do now!! We used to go to Cumberland Caverns and I could crawl through those holes like a champ.....NOT ANYMORE!!!! So, I know I couldn't ride Mission: Space being closed up!! No way!!!

Here, too! It's 19 right now, and on Friday, the high is supposed to be 13. I am SO looking forward to Florida weather.

Have a great day--you're halfway through the week; it's almost Friday!

It is a high of 15 here today in Ohio but they think its not going to get that warm. Tommorow is even cooler I think 8 maybe. My college roommate is getting married in Cleveland this sat and I think she picked the coldest day of the year to get married. Luckily my brother is keeping Caleb for us so we do not have to drag him in and out of the weather. He can stay put all weekend until we come to pick him up on Sunday.

Oh and we have propane and I pre-pay it so it will be cheaper. Not really sure if it is much cheaper or not...but it is really nice not to have to deal with the monthly winter bills. So that is a plus for me.

Ok, two things.

1. You made my cry with the Disney sentiment and your story about being robbed. You're so wise MeMom.

2. Our windchill temp for tomorrow morning it supposed to be around negative 50. Yes people, be very jealous! LOL! Gotta love Minnesota winters.

I LOVE the parade pictures!!! Great job MeMom. I just want to hug you sometimes!

Oh, I wasn't a fan of Mission Space either. I took the "easy" side and still got motion sickness. Yuck. I also have the same 2009 calendar!

Great parade pictures I love the one of Mary Poppins <3

Im heading to disney again next weekend this time with my DAD. He really needs a break from his life right now, and how could I resist these passholder discounts?? I haven't seen him smiling like he's been smiling in a very long time! I'm pretty sure in the middle of february when the cruise is paid off, I will be starting a pre-trip report for the huge trip we have planned in May. I will do mini-reports of my moms trip and my dads so i hope to see you there!

MeMom your parade pictures are fabulous!! I think you must have been a photographer in another life! :) You made me feel like I was there again! I could hear the music and taste the popcorn - delish! popcorn::

MeMom, just wanted to let you know I am still here. Eeyeore is my moms favorite too and you remind me of my mom so much. We are having cold weather too here in Omaha. Our high today I think is like 5 plus we have wind chills of like -40 very cold. Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday.

what a great compliment that is from you! thanks. i totally agree. he not only affected all of our lives through the great trips and memories we've had there and the great movies that he's made and the friends we've made through our common interest in him and his creations, but think about how he's affected the world around us. the theme park and family entertainment industry would not be anything like it is without disney world!

by the way, you may have commented on this and i've forgotten, but i just wanted to make sure you'd seen it:
