Over the river and through the FUN!

Well we missed you!

I would love for Jill, Brooklynn to be able to come up if we meet again sometime soon!

Jill is hoping to have the internet within a few weeks.

Wooooooo hooooooooo :woohoo:

I was on a mission to get a certain Dis pal a castle throw.

And I LOVE it!!!!!

Oh and I don't think I ever sent you a text back but thank you for my picture of Brooklynn on Christmas....that was SO cute!!! :)

very cute pictures of brooklynn on christmas morning. just think next year they'll be two little ones opening presents :)

Hey there! Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful pictures and memories--I've been reading along (aka lurking) on both of your trip reports and finally decided it was time to give you a shout out! I look forward to being in the world via your pictures, since that's as close as I'm going to get for a while!

Thanks for sharing the Christmas pics. I LOVE the purple paper~not hard to tell the girl likes her purple ;)

Christmas clean up has begun (1 tree down and 1 to go) All gifts ready to be put away. Company's coming tonight and we've got to straighten up :)

brooklyn looks too cute with her kitchen set. My mom got my 2 yr old newphew a bunch of cooking toys this year (he got the play kitchen last year) and he had soo much fun taking orders, though it doesn;t matter because he brings you what he wants anyways:rotfl:

Brooklyns Christmas morning pictures are so cute!!!!!!!

i bet that's what she sent me too and i couldn't open it because i'm cheap and won't pay for whatever it is you have to have to receive pictures through text.

It looks so peaceful on your walks in the morning. The pics are so nice without all the people. Thanks for going to ASMovies and taking some pics there. I wish I could get up earlier than 7am so I could do the same.

I enjoyed all the decorations in the shops, too bad I couldn't buy them all. The pic with the kid maniquins in pyjamas is cute. I really like the Cinderella's carriage globe. Very pretty. I would like all the xmas plushies.

It will be fun to have Jill here on the DIS regularily and she can update us too. She will never be bored as long as she can .

I think you've helped me to decide. You bring up a good point about the sprucing up of ASMusic. A nice fresh room is better. We were lucky last year to get a reno'd ASSports room. It was very clean and nice. I am also loving the idea of the curtain. POP will be the next one for sure!

So I have the Where : ASMusic
When : August 23 to August 31 (8 nights)
Who : Me, DMom, DD and DS (has agreed to come )
What : 7 day tickets w/park hopper, w.p and more
How : driving to Auburn AL (aprox. 22hrs) and then to WDW

Now all I need is the $$$$!

I'm off to work ...enjoy your evening & HGTV!

It is very peaceful in the mornings, and it is fun to watch the resort come to life little by little. First, there are assorted CMs, then an early bird or two going for coffee and maybe a jogger, and as the sun comes up, the people begin to outnumber the wildlife.

22 hours is a long, long drive. You are doing that straight? Like in changing up drivers/no sleepovers, etc??? Will you be coming through Nashville? If so, let me know, and I'll meet you at this nice park we have and bring you some supper or a snack or something. It's right off the interstate in a very safe neighborhood, and it would be a good place to stretch your legs for a few minutes and meet up with a TN hillbilly Dis friend!

Good economical grocery run! I will say that I am being pretty good too...I just went on Victoria's Secret website and ordered 5 sweaters and a tote bag for only $110 (I think thats a lot of stuff for not a lot of money and I desperately needed them!) and that was money I had gotten for xmas...I also added $50 to my vacation fund and money to my savings. All in the name of Disney! Can't wait to hear about the World Showcase meal.

I ended up taking back a couple of things I had gotten. What they don't know that they didn't get won't hurt them - right? I have to get money saved for two trips, so it will be easy to keep my motivation.

Did you watch the Disney Parade on Christmas Day....the shot you took from the train station reminded me of it....wow....Disney is absolutely devine at Christmas.....all the decorations are gorgeous. How much would it cost just to live in the Bay Lake Tower??? I was thinking it would be an excellent location to live...don't you think????

Yes, I watched it. Wasn't it so nice of Erica and me to let everyone share in the enjoyment of our castle and Main Street?!?!? :)

BLT would be a great place to live - steps away from Magic Kingdom!

Wonderful pictures of Mainstreet and of the All Stars decorations! So, so pretty!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your World Showcase party too. You are so creative with your parties.

Main Street was awesome!

I had a ton of ideas for some awesome World Showcase food and decorations, but since I'm saving for the real thing, I didn't do anything other than put little WS dolls out. Pictures will be up after this post. I would like to do complete World Showcase meals and highlight one country each time, like for Japan - do the food and do origami and have cool decorations and all.

Thank you so much for that info and for double-checking allears! I let my mom know about it, and we're planning on doing MK on our first morning for EMH, so we're going to try and go to the Poly afterwards.

I can't wait to hear about your World Showcase party!

It says breakfast stops at 10:30, so watch your time. It's good, and the atmosphere is nice if you go outside and sit under the palm trees.

Do you think that little girl wanted to be at rope drop?

Round two completed MeMom, but no trees cut down yet. We did have to take one Christmas tree down; too many needles falling off.

I noticed her. She's not even interested in Mickey and Minnie. She probably slept all the way there on the bus!

Now, will the trunk of your Christmas tree make one or two pieces for my fence?

Wow! I have missed so much!! I'm glad to hear you guys had a nice Christmas!

And what wonderful updates to come home to! I love your leisurley morning around the hotel and MK! I love doing that! Whenever I tell people that I go there alone they say "Awww! Where was your friend? Why wouldn't she go with you?" and it's like, "Because I told her not to!" I think it is so refreshing to spend some time on your own. Just hanging out, shopping, people-watching, picture snapping...going at your own pace. :)

Alone time is nice at WDW, because then you don't have to snap and catch up, which means you probably snapped too fast and got a blurry picture.

Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything. :rolleyes1

Those are just precious!!!

Too cute!

I love it! Brooklynn looks so cute in her apron!

well, isn't she just the little multi-tasker???? :rotfl:

Thanks, everyone, for the sweet comments. Brooklynn had a very nice Christmas. She is going through detox today - back at school after a whole week of opening presents, eating junk, and being out of her routine.

Memom and Jill, I spent my last day of vacation (having just gotten back from my parent's home in VA) lounging on the couch and reading your whole new TR! I am so glad I had the chance to catch up. As always Memom gets pictures of things I have never ever noticed in all my trips to WDW. I love the photos of Basin, that is my favorite store in DTD :lovestruc It looks like you all had a wonderful Christmas too. Your trees are gorgeous! I have a very rowdy, feisty kitten so no tree for me this year. :cat:
I'm glad I'm all caught up and looking forward to more. With a new little princess and a March trip scheduled, it looks like 2009 will be a great year for your family :teeth:

My cat sat under the tree at first, but after that, he hasn't paid it much attention.

I regret that I didn't get back to Basin to buy anything. Yet I don't regret it, because if I had gotten one person something, I would have gotten several people something, and I'd probably be broke!

Make that broke + er!

I hope 2009 is a great one for all of our families!

Thanks BrooklynnsMommy for sharing the pics of Xmas morning. She is so adorable with her little kitchen. It looks like she is calling MeMom on that phone. The little doll set is very cute and she can practice for when she is a big sister. Her pyjamas are sweet too.

My kids both had little kitchens and loved playing with them for hours, cooking up all kinds of plastic food, especially my DS.

Jill had a party kitchen and all that play food when she was little, and she and her friends and cousins played with it for many hours. She is enjoying watching Brooklynn do the same things she did when she was little. It is great being a mom!

very cute Christmas morning pictures! How fun is it going to be with two pretty girls next year?:goodvibes

Yeah, Brooklynn only gets half as much stuff next year!!! :)
I bet they'll have little matching jammies!

OMgarsh....is that just the cutest or what!!!!!! :cutie: Hey Brooklynn....what are you going to make first in your kitchen? Can you make Dole whips yet??? And your dollies and furniture are the best...take good care of them! :thumbsup2

The first things she made was her favorite meal - salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, and corn.

Her baby went everywhere with her. She has named her Bella Isa Rie. I think she may think this is the much talked about baby who was coming her way!
If so, April might get pretty interesting! :rotfl:

hi,
Catching up tonight on tr's.

gorgeous pics as always.

love the updates.

Hope you had a very happy holiday and hope you all have a wonderful new year.

Your CSR pictures have been awesome!
Same happy holidays to you, as well!
Let the 2009 countdowns begin!

Well we missed you!

I would love for Jill, Brooklynn to be able to come up if we meet again sometime soon!

Wooooooo hooooooooo :woohoo:

And I LOVE it!!!!!

Oh and I don't think I ever sent you a text back but thank you for my picture of Brooklynn on Christmas....that was SO cute!!! :)

You are welcome for the picture. We just wanted to say Merry Christmas!

We'll hook up again sometime when Dawn's in town.

very cute pictures of brooklynn on christmas morning. just think next year they'll be two little ones opening presents :)

It'll be fun! And then the next year there can be three, and the next year four, and the next year....
Hey, a MeMom can dream, can't she?

Hey there! Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful pictures and memories--I've been reading along (aka lurking) on both of your trip reports and finally decided it was time to give you a shout out! I look forward to being in the world via your pictures, since that's as close as I'm going to get for a while!

So glad you joined the group! Pipe in anytime and let us get to know you! It's always great to have new readers, or I guess in your case, joiners, since you were already a reader!

Brooklyn is a smart girl -- already learning how to hold a baby, cook, and talk on the phone all at the same time! :rotfl:

She needs to get the hang of it early. How many meals did you cook with a baby in one arm and stirring a pot with the other? Jill was the 'spoiledest' of them all. She wouldn't let me put her down!

Thanks for sharing the Christmas pics. I LOVE the purple paper~not hard to tell the girl likes her purple ;)

Christmas clean up has begun (1 tree down and 1 to go) All gifts ready to be put away. Company's coming tonight and we've got to straighten up :)

She was happy with her purple presents. She got lots of lovely jewelry. She loves her jewelry!

Have fun with your company. I would come and help you clean up, since I'm off and all, but by the time I got there, they'd be gone! ;)

brooklyn looks too cute with her kitchen set. My mom got my 2 yr old newphew a bunch of cooking toys this year (he got the play kitchen last year) and he had soo much fun taking orders, though it doesn;t matter because he brings you what he wants anyways:rotfl:

Two year olds have minds of their very own. When I was talking to some of my cousins at church yesterday, Carson (2) was walking away down the aisle. His mom told him to come back. He stopped, looked at her, grinned, and proceeded to continue walking away. You're not supposed to laugh, of course, and they have to obey, but it is so interesting to watch them develop and realize they have their own control and their own say-so in things when they're that age. They're testing the waters in a big way, and it is a crucial, crucial time for parents to lay a good foundation about what their kids will behave like.

Brooklyns Christmas morning pictures are so cute!!!!!!!

Thanks. I hope you guys had a great Christmas morning. I think the blanket you'll see in the upcoming pictures may be the same one you were talking about Hollie getting.

i bet that's what she sent me too and i couldn't open it because i'm cheap and won't pay for whatever it is you have to have to receive pictures through text.

That's okay. Every penny saved is a Disney penny. Or in your case now, a baby penny! :lovestruc

You've seen enough pictures of that little rat here that you didn't miss a lot on the phone! We just wanted to say Merry Christmas, and we were definitely ready to watch the parade when you sent your reminder! That's a longstanding tradition with us, as with many. It's kinda cool to know that Dis friends all around the country were enjoying it 'together', sort of!

These are some of our Main Street Bakery goodies from last week.

Several friends showed up without food, but they were more than welcomed.

Here's a group photo.

Our Canadian friend brought steak and cream cheese mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese soup. Canada came through in a big way!

Wouldn't it be fun to do a World Showcase meal each month?

Coming up later today, a few last presents, and then it's back to the trip!

Goodness MeMom, your world showcase dinner sounds like so much fun!! I am aching for WDW today, maybe I should put something like that together.

Go Canada! You rocked that meal!

Those are some great pictures... I wan to have a world showcase party. it sounds like a lot of fun!!

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love the idea of the World Showcase meal! That might have to take over for my movie night themes for a while... I LOVE making recipes from around the world and just made the Le Cellier cheese soup for the first time- it was a huge hit! The pics of your gathering are so great and I can only imagine how much fun it would have been!

Wow I love the monthly WS meal idea!! I might steal it from you :scratchin

Love the World Showcase meal pictures. The food looks so good. You come up with the most creative ways to keep the Disney Magic alive at home!

I enjoyed seeing pictures of some of your ornaments. Our tree was mostly Disney this year. I had Hannah's ornaments on the tree too.

Hi Memom:

I'm still working on catching up, but I wanted to let you know that I'm in your lovely state right now. We're staying in Pigeon Forge for a few days. The girls are swimming and DH is working puzzles and I'm gonna DIS for a few minutes.

The weather here is beautiful!! Its in the mid 50's and sunny and clear. I love it. We're having so much fun. Just wanted to say Hi. Now I'll go back and read some more. I'm enjoying your report so much!

Cathy

That World Showcase meal looks soooo good! You really come up with the best ideas MeMom, it must be the mother/teacher in you. And I really like your collection of plushes from the countries, too cute! :cutie:

Sorry MeMom, we only had a 7 foot tree this year; it wouldn't make much of a fence. Don't you worry, I'll have that saw going soon. :goodvibes

Great to see Canada carried the day for the World Showcase Dinner. Next time we will send you some maple syrup, fiddleheads, poutine, and some dulse.

LOVED the world showcase meal!!!! great stuff. can i move in with you? what if you let everyone move in with you that asked - i wonder how many DISers you'd be housing???
