So, did Jill get the internet for Christmas???
I love your early morning walks around the resorts, MeMom.
Those Christmas decorations over at ASMovies are great -- I love movies so I think one of those wreaths would look good at my house.
Can't wait to see what kind of fun you got into at the Magic Kingdom.
Not yet. She is hoping to have it by mid-January.
I like how each resorts decorations were themed. Somebody gets paid to create all those decorations - what a cool job!
That wreath would be great to put in a big theater room.
Not that I have one.
Not that I ever will.
But it would be cool for a Disney maniac somewhere who does have a theater room.
I saw a lot of ornaments to buy on my next trip!
It is fun to watch the world wake up with you.
You could have spent hundreds of dollars on cute Disney Christmas decorations. I was very frugal this time. I didn't buy much at all, but I sure wanted to!
I'm glad you're enjoying the morning walks. There are more to come!
Exactly how early did you get up??? I hope you weren't up all night???
I will note that on my next itinerary!
That is a great idea....I am glad Disney had that in mind!
Wow how creative to use "movie film" as ribbon....
Great shot but did you notice that Ariel is missing from the box????? Where did she go.....I can barely make out her shadow. Reminds me of Toy Story II
Positively magical!!!!
Usually somewhere between 2:40 and 3:30, I'm pretty much up for good.
Early morning check-in = no line.
Make it early early morning.
Yes, I'm sure it was nice for those who couldn't get a good ADR to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We were fortunate to snag a Chef Mickey's reservation for Thanksgiving night, so we were very pleased.
Yeah, I had trouble getting everything in with the lighting in the background. Be assured, Awull was safely tucked away in her box waiting for some little princess to come and take her home. There's no telling where she lives nowadays!
Magical. Yes, it is absolutely magical!
Great pictures from early morning at Music. The pool looks so cool early in the morning, empty and fog hovering over it. I love those ornaments at Maestro Mickey's too.
Those ornaments would be awesome on a huge tree, but I have a baby tree, so I got some smaller things. However, in watching some HGTV shows over the break, I've seen ways I can use the big ornaments other than on a tree, which means next year.....
Right now, I can only think about saving, not spending.
Just keep saving.
Saving, saving!
Love the shots of the pool with the fog coming off of it!
I hope you all had a wonderful Merry Christmas!
I thought the fog over the pools looked pretty neat, too. I hoped to capture the quiet, cold, and stillness of that morning.
We did have a nice Christmas.
Well as long as I can be a member of your family (or we can just pretend) then that's fine that it's your Magic Kingdom!
I WILL go do this next time I go!!
Dawn and I had a good lunch today. We missed you....I heard you were with your 'girls' today
Did Santa bring Jill internet for Christmas!?!?
We don't mind letting family and friends (and complete strangers) borrow our parks while we're not there. Just as long as they promise to enjoy them and take care of them and leave them in good shape for us for when we get back!
As it turns out, I was home. We changed our plans a bit. I started to call you guys and see what time you were eating, but I needed to be at home because my computer guy thought he might be coming by while he was out with his family, so I couldn't commit. Let us know next time you guys are getting together, and maybe Jill and Brooklynn can come up and we'll meet you then.
Jill is hoping to have the internet within a few weeks.
Great early morning pics!
Hope you all had a nice Christmas.
Thanks.
We did.
Aren't you supposed to be out chopping down some trees?
I guess you're on the road home.
You said you still had round two to go on Christmas stuff.
We're doing a round two, as well, when Jill comes back through from KY on the way home to AL tomorrow.
This meal will be a World Showcase tribute.
I need to get out and get stuff for it, but I'm just enjoying being lazy this morning. The house is clean, the laundry is caught up, and I've even done some parts of my report cards, so now I'm just flipping back and forth between HGTV and Food Network and watching other people work!
**************************************
Before we go on, I have to correct a mistake. This morning, Wednesday, I went to Magic Kingdom by myself at opening.
(I was wondering why I didn't have pictures of Brooklynn at the bus stop or on the bus.) The others were going to sleep a little later and get to the park a little later since we were going to stay there all day with no return for naps in the afternoon. Trent and Jarvis would be on the road all day. They were going to meet us about parade time, and then we were eating at Liberty Tree Tavern.
I got confused with Thursday, when we all went early.
Anyway, so go back to the previous pictures, and scratch out about me meeting them to go to MK. I went to MK by myself.
Now that all that is clear
(as mud)....
do you want to go inside this wonderful place?
First there will be some waiting.
Standing.
Waiting.
People watching.
Anticipating.
Finally, there will be the whistle of a train.
Then there will be some singing.
As you can tell, I was way up front by the tunnel, and I was leaning back to get these pictures.
I was more interested in getting on inside the park than in getting the welcome ceremony pictures that morning.
Then they let us in - with warnings, beggings, pleadings for people to
walk!
When everyone was let in, I went up the stairs to the train station to get a picture looking down.
I knew I had to be quick, because those streets fill up very quickly!
Snow White and a friend were coming out to greet guests.
Main Street was just beautiful!
The Master and Mistress of Ceremonies were headed over to do a meet and greet.
They looked very festive in their holiday outfits.
If you have never been to Disney World at Thanksgiving/Christmas, you should really try to do so someday. It is just a little extra magical at this time of year.
If you guessed that I hit the shops, well, you're wro...
right!
Of course!
I was on a mission to get a certain Dis pal a castle throw.
The Emporium.
So far, I was just window shopping. I did buy things here, but right now, I'm going to get up and quit being lazy for a while. I'll check in later today.
