I hear ya! I just did my cards today and will get them sent out tomorrow. I will very lucky if anyone gets their card before Christmas.
Brooklynn looks cute sitting on Santa's lap. So funny that she asked for a puter!

You wonder where they come up with things!
I finished them last night. I'm going for stamps this morning, and they'll go straight in the box. Some will make it, and some will not, but I pretty much started them all out by apologizing about their lateness, so I hope I have understanding friends.
In your case, I'm pretty sure you lose elf points for not getting your cards out on time, don't you?
I appreciate you telling me you were behind. It makes me feel not so alone in this 'travesty'!!!
Your Christmas get together is almost like being at Disney with all the little Disney touches you have there! It looked great. I never commented on Jill being pregnant, congratulations! When is she due? If this baby is anything like Brooklynn, you guys will be set and one lucky family
Disney at Christmas is a dream of mine. My parents own a timeshare through RCI and I recently heard that RCI members are going to have DVC privleges. If so, I definitely want to try to be there for xmas 2010. Since you're the Disney pro, how far before Thanksgiving do they start all the decorations and the Osborne Family lights? Thanks MeMom!
Brooklynn with Santa is adorable! And the food at EoS looks delish
Isabella Marie will be here the first part of April. Brooklynn has dubbed her Bella Rie. It was a lot of fun to look at all the little girl matching outfits the other day, and we'll enjoy that to some degree while they're little. Jill won't overdo the dressing alike thing, but sometimes it will be sweet to have them dressed alike or coordinating. I sense some very cute pictures coming in the future!
We enjoyed having our Disney touches. The girls appreciated it more than the boys. The boys have just learned to deal with it!
I can only speculate on the decorations.
Last Thanksgiving, when the boys and I went in mid-November, many Christmas decorations and the Osborne Light Show were up and running. This year, they moved the dates back several weeks. I know there was a lot of talk from disappointed people who had scheduled November trips to be able to see all the Christmas stuff and still get back home for the holidays. To be safe, and to see it all, you probably can't be guaranteed anything until Thanksgiving. A CM PMed me about the Jingle Jungle Parade and said it was starting the Saturday before Thanksgiving this year, so I was really happy to hear that.
I'm sure part of it is the economy, but from what that security guy told me that time at POFQ, a lot of changes were already on the table for the next three years. Maybe they foresaw tough economic times. So, I guess some of the cutbacks were planned already, and then some are due to staying alive in a financially tight world.
On the bright side, though, as I am hearing of cuts, I've also been reading of some new things that will replace old things, so that's good. Maybe it won't be as bleak as some people might think. They'd really have to make a ton of cuts for it to start getting bad, because there really is so, so, so much to the whole of Disney World!
If you want to see Christmas things for sure, you probably should book for later in the year and just plan on dealing with the crowds in ways Disers know how to do.
I have always wanted to go to Basin and we never have!! I am going to have to put that down for February!! I bet it smells wonderful in there!!
There were many good-smelling soaps there, and they have such cute designs! You'll enjoy making a stop there.
Ah... the joys of matching/coordinating Gymboree clothing. That is so much fun, I have loved to do that with Em and Hannah, probably even more so since I had just a brother. Plus the gymboree stuff that was Hannah's still looks great on Emily. Two princesses are super fun... just think of the castle meal you all can have someday, I know that is my all time best moment with my girls at WDW!
MeMom have a very Merry Christmas... tomorrow I have commando cooking for Christmas eve!
All I have to do today is get stamps and take a few things back to one store. I'll be up there to help you cook in a little while. I love to cook when I have the down time! I don't love it so much on school days, though.
cute picture of brooklynn with santa! that's funny about her purple present from santa! kids are so funny. when luke started preschool he was big on asking everyone what their favorite color was. at that time his was purple. but then about a week later he told anna that purple wasn't his favorite color any more, that it was "just ugly inside my head."

now his favorite color is green and he gets so upset when he asks me my favorite color and i say green (which has always been my favorite color) because we CANNOT have the same favorite color!!!!

he also gets mad at anna because she says blue and he wants her to like pink.
Little kids' conversations should be on video very often - captured to watch over and over again, as they are precious moments in time! I love to listen to Brooklynn talk to Ben or bicker back and forth with Trent as he aggravates her. When I'm on the phone with Jill while they're in the car, Brooklynn will be in the back singing her somewhat cracked versions of the songs on the CD or pointing out things they pass along the road, like the all important cows and buses and such. About a week ago, they were beside a friend of hers from school, and they were alternately passing each other with the flow of traffic. Brooklynn kept calling out the little girl's name and telling her not to get too far away. When she talks about her friends at school and what they do, it is just so sweet!
You'll have to bring Luke up here one day, and I'll get Jill and Brooklynn up here and we'll take them to the Family Fun Center.
Hate me...whatever! It's CUTE!! I thought of you immediately
I have several PM figures also they are now in my curio cab. So I myself just might have to start these too
We'll see! So we may have 2 of the same
I don't remember them having any disney ones when we were little
Sweet
Very cute about the Purple 'puter
I've still GOT to go eat at Earl's!!
That is HILARIOUS!!!
I told Jill you would love my present!!!
Luckily, Brooklynn is young enough to be satisfied with the simple answer of 'you'll have to wait until you're older', so there's no trauma when she doesn't get one. Jill said there will be a cut-off date in her house for putting in Santa requests, and if they change after that, the kids will just be out of luck!
I'm in the same boat with you MeMom about Christmas cards---and I'm SO sad that they are just getting out, because they are SO cute this year!!! I did a photo card on Shutterfly of Megan---there is a picture of her as Tinkerbell after her BBB trip in June, Megs dressed as Snow White at her birthday party, and then her Halloween picture dressed as Alice in Wonderland. They will enjoy them when they DO get them I guess!
Oh good! Between you and
Happy Elf, I'm feeling a little better. I mean, gosh, if even a
Happy Elf can't get cards out early, then what do you expect of a plain old MeMom????
Your cards sound very cute, so I know people will love them whenever they arrive!
