Over the river and through the FUN!

That is too cute that she asked for a purple computer. I am not sure how much longer I will be able to get on the dis in the next couple of days... due to the cooking and traveling to see my (and Joe's) family..

so I just wanted to wish Everyone a Very Merry Christmas ... Please be safe. I know where I am in NJ they are saying we are going to get black ice tomorrow.

I'm sure I do lose elf points! :rotfl: I'm using the excuse that Owen was sick for about a week and a half or 2 weeks and that got me really behind because he didn't want to get sat down. I couldn't stand to listen to him cry when he was sick. I know he needed mommy to hold and cuddle him.

That's a perfectly good excuse. Poor guy! I hope he's all better now.

I saw your Christmas pictures. It sounds like someone in your family could be related to MeMom with the picture-taking!

That's so funny that Brooklynn asked for a purple computer! You do have to wonder where they come up with some of the things that they do. I also cracked up when she said that she wanted to take a nap right then, so that she could open her presents sooner!

I need to go to Basin, and EoS as well. I'm dying to go to DTD when it's not packed like it was the last time that we went, and when EoS isn't closed.

That will be so cute! I have two cousins that dressed alike when they were little. One is just nine months older than me, and the other is 3 years older than me, so we grew up together and are still really close. Up until about the time I was six or seven, I thought that they were twins!! They're close in age and they looked so much alike when they were little, plus I knew two sets of twins in my class. They were the only others I'd ever seen dressing alike--obviously if my cousins were dressing alike, they HAD to be twins. I actually have a picture of the three of us holding hands in my grandmother's front yard, and they're dressed in the same outfit, but different colors. I showed it to one of them at a family party over the summer and all she said was, "oh no." :rotfl:

I never ended up going back to Basin, and I regret that.

I may have bought another set of semi-matching outfits today while my friend and I were shopping.

Okay, okay. I confess!
I did buy another set of semi-matching outfits today while my friend and I were shopping.

No more. I'm done!
My friend had to go and start looking at things for her grandkids (one boy and two girls), so naturally I looked.
Looking became purchasing.
No more shopping!

Don't worry Memom...I did not get xmas cards out either this year. I had Caleb's pictures taken late so all the family members are just getting them at the actual christmas celebration. Maybe next year :confused3 but I am not counting on it since he will be mobile then:rotfl:

This is probably the last time I will be on the computer (and it is not purple :sad1: ...it sounds very pretty)

So have a Merry Christmas:santa:

I'm sorry I missed you today.
We wish you the very happiest holiday ever with Caleb!

Hi, so you are having a quiet day, I have to be at work for 1pm. I think I'm getting the "cold" going around. Sniffle..sniffle...as I try to rest here in bed.

How cute of Brooklynn to ask for a purple 'puter. She just wants to DIS too! ;) I saw a Hannah Montana toy computer at T'RUS and it brand name was "lexibook" I thought that was too funny. :rotfl: Lexi said she was too old for it but I was tempted to buy it.

Today, I set my PVR to record the WDW Christmas parade on Thursday!!! I will watch it live but I always tape it to watch it again later. Lexi is so excitted that Miley Cyrus & Jonas Brothers are apearing...:cloud9:

I also ordered the Passporters guide book for 2009 from Barnes & Noble USA, our book store doesn't seem to have it this year?

Have a great day!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO THOSE THAT ARE TRAVELLING TODAY!! :santa:

Sorry to hear about your sniffles. I hope it doesn't turn into more.

Brooklynn is two. She pretty much wants everything she sees, but she'll be happy with anything she gets!

I'll be watching the parade with all the other Disers around the country! I have to say, if I were a teenage girl, I would have posters of Nick on my walls. He's a cutie! In my day, it was Donny Osmond, David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman. I was totally in love with Donny Osmond, but I don't think he's one bit cute now.

MeMom! It took me awhile but I finally found you guys. What a wonderful trip report so far. I had no idea that Jill was expecting so a big Congratulations to her! :) I love all of the pictures!

Yeah, you've been out of the loop for a while. Four kids can keep one very busy, but I do hope you'll check in with us occasionally. I love the picture you have up now, but I also miss that one of those three smiling faces you used to have up. Maybe you can share a Christmas picture with us!

I'm behind on sending out cards too. Its terrible for me cause i havnet even filled them out yet. But they will get there...later rather than sooner. Next year i think i may start around halloween that way im sure i'll be finished in time

You know, that's not a bad idea. On Halloween night, I could fill out Christmas cards, and then they'd be ready to go on time! I did get my cards mailed, so they'll get there eventually.

I hope we haven't missed you completely. The Tinkerbell ornament you gave Brooklynn has found a nice home with some other Disney ornaments. I think she'll like it there! :santa:

Have safe travels wherever you go!

*************************************

My friend, Kay, and I went out to Opry Mills today. We always try to get together sometime during my two week break, and she said today worked for her as well as any other day ahead, so we went on and planned for it. We walked around the mall, bought the grandkids a few things, and ate lunch at the food court. We talked about our March trip, and she said that she made the executive decision that she does want to go! She's just telling her husband she's going, and even though he will bark about it a little, as husbands often do, he'll be fine with it.

So, we're going to go during my spring break! We'll stay at POP this time. I did get a code, but I'll be keeping my eyes out for a better one.

We're going to fly down on Wednesday morning and fly back on Sunday night. We'll get non-park hoppers, because we're trying to keep the budget in check.
The plan is as follows:
-Animal Kingdom on arrival day
-Magic Kingdom on Thursday
-Friday, Epcot is having a Davy Jones concert along with the Flower and Garden Festival, so we chose Friday for Epcot all day. I never was as wild about Davy as I was about Donny , but it'll be cool to see him in person.
-Saturday we'll do Hollywood Studios. She loves Tower of Terror.

For a few more dollars, we'll go ahead and get the 5th park day so that we can probably go to Epcot a second time on Sunday. I figure we can go in and Soar one last time and see some more F&G stuff, and then maybe hit Downtown Disney for a couple of hours before Magical Express takes us away.

That's how it looks for now. It'll be a very nice getaway after two and a half months of pressure-packed teaching in preparation for testing, plus I'll be working an extra after school tutoring program to help pay for this.

It's kind of bittersweet, though, as I roll it around in my mind.
I will be sad that Jill and Brooklynn will not be with me.
I love going to Disney World with them!!!

I will bring back as much of the magic as I can to them, though, and I'll make it up to them by making our December trip as wonderful as possible!

That's all the news for tonight. I hope you are all having fun with your shopping and wrapping and programs and festivities. It can be a hectic time of year, but it is also a very nice time. It's good that people get the chance to stop and think of others and enjoy the company of those they love and sometimes don't get to see very often.

That's a perfectly good excuse. Poor guy! I hope he's all better now.

I saw your Christmas pictures. It sounds like someone in your family could be related to MeMom with the picture-taking!

He is basically better. He has a plain cold now, but that was much better than what he had!

Okay, okay. I confess!
I did buy another set of semi-matching outfits today while my friend and I were shopping.

No more. I'm done!
No more shopping!

Sure...all grandmothers say that...then they see something cute and they have to get it. :cutie: At least that's how it is here!

So, we're going to go during my spring break! We'll stay at POP this time. I did get a code, but I'll be keeping my eyes out for a better one.

Congrats on the Spring Break trip! I know what a wonderful break that is!!! Then you are refreshed for the long haul of the rest of the school year!

im so happy for you
! Wouldnt it be fun if i end up in florida in march too...;)

Got a present for MeMom and Jill that i would like to share. MeMom gave me permission to post it for everyone to see :)

MeMom, thank you for sharing your Christmas pictures-they are great! It sounds like it was a wonderful time. :goodvibes

EoS looks soooooooo good! They don't have that holiday sandwich all year, do they? It sounds perfect. But, even if they don't, I am pretty sure I won't be disappointed with anything I get there.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAA FOR YOUR MARCH TRIP!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: I'm so glad it is going to work out! March is just around the corner too, and what a lovely time that will be to go-I imagine the F&G festival is just beautiful!! Your plans sound great too. :thumbsup2 Are you going to share that Disney magic with us when you return? ;)

Hurray for a spring break trip -- I know you are thrilled, MeMom. You'll have such a great time!

I know I will be thrilled when it gets here, after I've put in a bunch of weeks of hard work. When I walk out the door of school in March and know I'm headed to sunshine, palm trees, and happiness, I will be thrilled that I booked it!

Flower & Garden Festival was opening the day we left last year, so we barely got to see anything before we had to get on our way back home. I am very much looking forward to seeing more of that, and I know there will be so many great things to photograph.

I know I will very much enjoy it, but right now, I'm still processing it all. It has changed so much - from two grandmas and two kids to just Brooklynn and me to just two grandmas. Also, I've really got to get to the serious business of getting a bunch of money set aside!

He is basically better. He has a plain cold now, but that was much better than what he had!

Sure...all grandmothers say that...then they see something cute and they have to get it. At least that's how it is here!

Congrats on the Spring Break trip! I know what a wonderful break that is!!! Then you are refreshed for the long haul of the rest of the school year!

Hopefully, all the rest of your gang will stay healthy for the holidays!

I try to get things that are practical, like clothes, the backpack, shoes, pajamas, etc. or things that are small, such as books, movies, and CDs. I think I've done a decent job of keeping it in check so far, so I enjoyed splurging just a little this week on the clothes. For now, she is thrilled with clothes and wants to put on every outfit immediately, so she's not just all about toys. I really am finished, though, at least as far as Christmas goes.

I have grounded myself from anything more than grocery shopping for the next three months!

im so happy for you

If you are there, we will meet up at your old stomping grounds, since we're staying at Pop.

That was so sweet of you to fix that picture. It makes it look so much more Christmasy!

MeMom, thank you for sharing your Christmas pictures-they are great! It sounds like it was a wonderful time. :goodvibes

No, they don't have that holiday special all year. It is so good! I wish I could order Earl's bread online and have it shipped. That would be a nice treat occasionally. I'm on the hunt for a bread that tastes the same around here! It's got such a good texture, too - not too dense, but not as soft as regular sandwich bread.

I know the March trip will be fun. We both hobble along at the same pace, so that'll be a plus. The flowers and topiaries at F&G are great! Also, I think two other teachers at my school plan to be there that week, so we may meet up for a few minutes.

Have I ever gone to Disney World and not come back and shared with you guys? I could never keep all that happiness away from my friends, so yes, I'll probably have a picture or two to show you during March, April, May, June, and probably even July. You know me. I'll be showing you the last Mickey topiary the day before we leave to go on the all-family July trip! ;)

Before you all get on the road to see grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles and cousins and friends, we all want to wish all of you a safe journey and a very, very Merry Christmas! We are so blessed - all of us - to have our families and friends and all of the things that we have - jobs, homes, food, clothing, cars, extras. Enjoy your time away from work just chilling out and forgetting for a few days about paperwork, deadlines, and bills!

We would love for you to feel free to share a Christmas picture of your family with all of us, if you feel comfortable doing so. We'd love to see all of these precious little kids (and big kids) decorating cookies, opening gifts, showing off your trees, laughing, singing, or just doing whatever. It would brighten my day to come here and see your families enjoying this time together, so please do share with us!

Here's a little Christmas shopping trip for you this morning, straight from Downtown Disney.

I apologize again for the blurry ones. I really do have to slow down next time. This time, I was usually trying to point, shoot, and then catch up with the others, so I didn't take my time. I'm really disappointed in how many of these pictures are blurry. You really can't tell much on the small screen of the camera. They may look decent there, but then when you get them up bigger, they're not so hot.

Anyway, in spite of the poor photography, I hope you enjoyed that little bit of Christmas shopping without spending any money this morning. Have a wonderful day, friends!

I'm so happy that you are going in March! I know how much you wanted to go so I am so glad that you get to. The Flower and Garden Festival was awesome--so many cute topiaries. I was thinking of putting up more pictures from our April trip, so I will be sure to include some F&GF pics.

I will be sure to post some Christmas pictures on here. I'm only working 9-3, and my boyfriend is coming over after to exchange gifts with my family and I. Then, I'm going to his family's Christmas eve party for a little while, and then going out with my family to look at Christmas lights. I'm really excited and already looking forward to 3!

Merry Christmas MeMom and family!

My favorite kind of shopping -- the kind where I can just look with no temptation to buy!

Merry Christmas, MeMom and family!!! Have a wonderful holiday!

A closer look.

See Eeyore trying to hide?

I'm working on catching up. But I must say, I love this tree and it's decorations. It is so cute! I'm loving the report so far. Hopefully, I'll get caught up while I'm on vacation. Yeah :woohoo: I'm on vacation till next year!!!!! :dance3: :dance3: Looking forward to reading more.

I have grounded myself from anything more than grocery shopping for the next three months!

Me too! I was doing really well with only buying things that were needed until Thanksgiving. Then extra things just kept jumping into my cart! I figure what will help me is the mindset of "save your money for Disney!!!"

Merry Christmas to Everyone!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas with their family and friends!

MeMom I am so glad you are going on your trip in March. It will be a wonderful trip with some much needed relief after the testing.

Thanks so much for sharing your Christmas & your trip with us. The pics, as always, are amazing!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Have a great one MeMom!!

Merry Christmas MeMom.

and everyone else.

I hope you all had a great Christmas Eve. By now, I'm sure Santa is safely tucked away back in his bed at the North Pole. He'll be snoring away while millions of children all over the country begin to wake up and rush to see what he left them. They will be shouting and laughing and dancing around with all of their new things, and Santa will be resting up from his long night's travels.

I hope your homes are filled with excited children this year, and I know you will take lots of pictures and video to help you remember these sweet moments as their faces light up when they see all of their treasures.

Not Christmas related, but it's where we are in the report, so I present to those of you who have not seen it the new T-Rex Restaurant.

Merry Christmas MeMom!!! :santa:

I love the DTD Christmas decorations! They are so festive!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THE BEST MeMom EVER!!!

I HOPE ALL OF YOUR FAMILY IS HAVING A GREAT DAY! :santa:

I'm sure Santa delivered a wonderful present to the beautiful Brooklynn this morning, and she is all smiles today.

Lexi woke me up at 6am, "Santa came...Santa came".

I am glad the fast pace is over for another year at work, people were still shopping last minute yesterday. I have to admit I stopped for a few gift cards for Aaron at McD's and Subway, after I got off work yesterday. ;)

:cheer2: :cheer2: Yipee!!! You get your March trip!
:cheer2: :cheer2:

I wish I could tag along, August seems so... soo... far from now. I even looked at prices this afternoon for Feb/March but I don't think I can come up with the $$$$ so soon after Xmas. I am toying with the idea of going for longer than 8 nights.

Wasn't the WDW Parade so fun to watch today! I wished I could be there until, I saw the crowds. I enjoyed all the people in Mickey hats, so cute.

I can't wait to see the new "Celebration" parade in 2009. :)

Thanks so much for the DTD shopping pics, you made my day. The window displays were fantastic. I don't mind the blurry ones, it's not a problem for me. I'll take whatever I can get. :rotfl:

So if you had to choose - POP or ASMusic? I need your help.

Merry Christmas again, MeMom and everyone!

I watched the Christmas parade and got so ridiculously excited when I saw Main Street and the castle. It's so much nicer watching the parade when I know that there is a trip coming up.

I love your pics from the T-Rex restaurant and the Build-a-Dino. I might do that on our trip, and Kailyn said that she might like to, too.

I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas!
