I know some people going through some difficult times at this moment - some with babies who have weak and diseased bodies, some with older children who have struggles of many kinds, and some with parents who are aging and in need. Tears flow frequently, yet silently and secretly so that they don't 'burden' their family and friends. Although this life sometimes brings us pain beyond what we think we can bear, I believe there will be a time that all the hurt will be gone, and there will be healing and happiness for these people.

MeMom may you have a blessed day,

I did have a blessing today. I e-mail 'talked' with my first principal - the one who got me my job. We are family friends through the kids' school. His beautiful wife died of cancer last January. She had had a long battle with cancer in many parts of her body. His three daughters suggested they all go to Disney World together, since this was their first Thanksgiving without Liz. Turns out, they were staying at All Star Music the same time we were there. Trent had told us he thought he had seen Haley while we were there, but she was way far away. I figured it was her when he told us, because I knew they were Disney fans. Anyway, in corresponding back and forth today, he told me that they were all there - daughters, sons-in-law, and three grandchildren. He said it was great, but he missed strolling along talking to his sweet wife. I'm sure that was hard. Just being able to touch base with him today was a blessing.

Our very long and exceptionally project-filled faculty meeting after school - that was not a blessing.

We love our MeMom!

Thanks, man, but I just hope I'm not in the middle of that group hug. I'm going to need to be on the outside, or I will be like !

I always look forward to the updates and what is happening in your family! We are home again today.... so I could sure use some new pictures to look at!

We went back. I was glad. I like to spread the off days around. I'll take another one on a Wednesday again in mid-February.

MeMom thanks for reminding me that others have it much worse than I do. Last night I was woken up at 2am (not normal for me) and couldn't sleep. I am worried about so many things and was having a pity party for myself. Your little note was just what I needed today. I've gone through so many things in my past and this will pass too. I am proud to call you a DIS friend. Have a good day, I will put the others in my prayers today.

I really do enjoy the DIS. It's a wonderful, fun diversion to the ups and downs of life. A very nice escape where I've met really nice people.

I struggle with worry, too, but I know that it will do no good. Worry is just a sign of a lack of faith, I guess, but we're all human, so we do it anyway. We can't change anything with the worry, so we just have to learn to release it.

I think this is a great place, too. I really do hope that there will be some time that we will all cross paths and meet each other face to face.

I like big roomy purses. They had lots of cute ones, but I tend more to stick with one rather than change them out all the time, so I didn't really want to get into all the colors. I did like looking and comparing though.

We left off here.

I think this is where Brooklynn and I went one way and Jill and John went another. They wanted to do some secret shopping with a certain little girl seeing.

We went to Once Upon a Toy.

The little green alien was remote-controlled, and Brooklynn really thought he was cool.

She was apprehensive at first, as you can see, but she liked it after a few minutes.

Dino quartet plus one. I thought they looked like they were singing. They were probably trying to be fierce.

We stopped for a few pictures on the way back to the bus stop.

Brooklynn joined in the singing of Jingle Bells.

At the bus stop, I decided while they went to the room for rest, I'd go over to Pop Century.

Memom, Those are such neat pictures. Makes me wish I was there right now! In fact, my sister and her DH were there with their 2 grandkids about 3 weeks before you were. They surprised the grandkids. They didn't tell them until they were in the hotel their first night on the road down. The kids were so surprised and they all had a wonderful trip. I so love seeing everyone's trip pics. It helps me relive all the great times we've had there over the years.

What a great surprise! Did they stay at a Disney resort? If so, which one?
That trip will be a treasured memory for all of them, I'm sure.

I enjoy looking at other people's pictures, too. In some of them, I can just sense myself being right in that spot for a second, and it's a nice feeling.

Yeah, that bag is just cute. It seems to get cuter every time I look at it. I'll check on the price if we go in March. I don't need another bag like that, though, so I'll probably just be satisfied looking at the picture.

Although, it could end up being a nice souvenir for someone. That might be a good solution. I could get it for someone else and have visitation rights.

We're glad to know all of you, too. We truly do come from many walks of life - different jobs, family styles, religions, backgrounds, beliefs, and dreams for the future, but we can all have fun with this one commonality of our enjoyment of Disney.

Please don't go, Dad! We'll get out of the shops eventually. And this summer, I'm going to make everybody do something adventurous and action-packed everyday, just for you. Those pictures will be much more suited for your viewing pleasure; I promise.

I spend a lot of time watching Brooklynn's face, too. I think her expressions definitely attest to the fact that Disney World is her happy place!

The alien was being controlled by a variety of little boys and girls, as well as a few men who seemed to be having quite a bit of fun with it. He was going all over the place!

It's Fabulous Friday, everyone!

My team teacher is off for a long weekend with her husband. They're in Knoxville to see a UT basketball game and visit Gatlinburg.

She said with a big smile that she'd be thinking of us at school this morning while they were sipping their coffee by a blazing fireplace, reading the paper, and getting ready to go shopping.

You know, something inside me thinks she might have been telling a lie.

My Friday will be extra fabulous, too, because Jill and Brooklynn are coming up in the morning, so I have that to look forward to!
