Yes. We have gotten around this when staying in a room with a motion sensor by tying a balloon to a chair right by the A/C so the fan blowing keeps the balloon in motion.

AKL has the sensors. My room was stuffy when I would return, but after going on the balcony to see animals immediately on return from parks and coming back in, it was noticeably colder. I mind being hot at night and don't remember having a problem. I assumed they used them there to be eco friendly, I don't know why they would install them in All their hotels. They are in Florida, providing relief from heat should be upper most.

I would be at the front desk complaining pretty quick if this was me
You are paying for the room and should be able to have it at the temp you like, warm or cold
You should not have to buy a ballon or play games getting a comfortable temp

The guests have full control. They can be set as low as 65.

seems like it would be better to let the guest determine the temp but have a timer on it so that can be adjusted. people who don't move in their sleep are going to find it getting too hot, I imagine.

Don't need it running full power for many many hours while the room is empty. motion detector? what a concept!! but only part of the solution
