Over-booked resorts?

With resorts being booked solid in October, what are the chances of them overbooking any of us? I asked before and they said that Disney does overbook adn may have to change your resort at check-in. I am staying at POP. I really do not care if they move us, but the only other values are the All Stars and my kids would be pretty sad. Would Disney ever overbook ALL of their resorts and have to move some off campus? One time I was at Gaylord Opryland and those who check in after me had to be moved off campus and were given a voucher instead. How crummy!! I just don't want that to happen at Disney.

Don't spend too much time worrying about this. It's quite rare to get moved and I have not ever read of anyone being moved off site.

If this is really bothering you, check in as early in the day as you can. If the resort is overbooked (again unlikely), those who arrive late in the day are the ones who will get moved.

Best wishes -

I have only heard of one person getting moved and they were moved from POP to Yacht Club. If you get moved you will always get upgraded, which is why it doesn't happen very often.

As far as overbooking, I worked in the Hotel Management business for years, and overbooking is common. HOWEVER, not having rooms because of overbooking is VERY RARE!! In the 13 years I supervised hotel ops. only 3-4 times did we ever have to move customers. Hotels and airlines overbook for a reason, there are cancellations all the time, don't worry, be happy!! :wave2:
