Over an Hour On The Phone But I Got It!

Had a Sept. trip. Wanted to change to the first week of Aug. so kids don't miss school. Called. Asked if there were any discounts. Guy puts me on hold comes back a minute later and says I have a discount and gives a slighterly lower price than we had for Sept. Yeah! But I had to call my DH to confirm the vacation because his is very limited. So I ask what do I need to know (any codes numbers) to get this price again. Nope, he says, anyone here can get if for you! You can imagine what happened. Called back spent 25 minutes no go, no go. Finally quoted me a pin room discount that got me about 300 more than he quoted me. Ask for a new person (getting very upset). It took over 40 more minutes for her to figure it out and "find" the free dining pin but I finally got to the price he had quote me. Free dining - moderate but I upgraded to the full plan from the quick service. Painful and I had to really really be persistent. The first girl I got on the second call said sometimes "pins pop in while we are booking it". I have no idea what is really true - if they have some ability to "grant" them or if only the people who know how to search the system better can find them. But finally I got it! Now just to change the flights.... oh boy....
 
I am so glad you got it. It is truly amazing to me the different stories that are popping up on here (via cm's). And the different offers, different dates and the amount of time and calls its taking for people to get these pins.

I am telling you Disney needs to clean up their act and figure out their own system!

But bottom line for you: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
 

It baffles me what Disney's reservation system must be like, when I called Wednesday to inquire about the availability of dates on a pin # DH had recieved via snail mail, the CM pulled up my current reservation and asked me if I the pin # since he did not see it.

I gave him the number, now this CM seemed very knowledgable in fact he was seeing things I was surprised he was like my DS and Ddil names who were on our reservation last year. He also when asking my email address noted I had three listed and asked which one I would like to be my primary one.
Disney's system must store info forever
I am guessing if a CM is new it is no wonder they seem so confused at times
