Outside Theme Park Activities

Outside of the theme parks what else would you recommend doing with a 4 and 5 year old boy?

We've never stayed on Disney property before. We're in Disney for 10 days (September 3rd - 13th).

I've booked them on the Pirate Adventure, have plans to attend the campfire at Fort Wilderness, walk around downtown Disney letting them explore what they'd like to and swimming (we're staying at POP).

Is there anything you'd recommend we do that'd they really enjoy?

We are going with our 5 y.o. DS in 2 1/2 weeks. One of the "outside the parks" things he loves is mini-golf. We have it scheduled in twice during our trip.

My kids love swimming. So on our non-park days we spend the entire day at the pool. We have lunch at the pool & then we shower for dinner & sometimes we go back swimming that night too.

POP has a great sprinkler area that my ds loved in addition to the pool.

And you might want to spend some time riding around on the monorail, seeing some of the other resorts.
