Outside the parks

What are some of your favorite things todo outside of the parks? When we go to the World next year I am hoping to do more activities outside the parks. One thing I am hoping to do is the movie on the beach at Wilderness Lodge.

Do you have to be a guest at the WL to watch the movies?

I would guess that you do not have to be staying there to see the movie. We are planning to stay there again and did not do it last time.

I thought you meant what to do off property! My favorite thing to do off property is to hit the Disney stores at the outlets!
I also like hanging out at DTD; my DH used to pin trade outside the pin store, and I'd shop around or write postcards. We like resort hopping too, checking out the store and restaurants in the different resorts, and pin trading in the different resorts. We've checked out movies at OKW too, and I also always enjoy the members gatherings for DVC members~ they usually have a game, and freebies and snacks...the last time we went we saw a sneak preview of Prep and Landing, and the director was there, vacationing AND a DVC member too! Sometimes there's pin trading there too

Great idea with the pin trading. What is a good age to start this? My girls will be 4 and 5 when we go next trip and I was thinking about starting them with this.
