outside park, light show on spaceship earth?

Is there a place to see the new light show on spaceship earth from outside EP? It would be even better if it is somewhere convienient to drive.

We will be driving from AKL to Poly on Jan 1 (staying one night at the Poly) but no parks this trip. We want to watch the fireworks from the Poly at 8, but hoping to stop somewhere to take a look at the EP lights show on Spaceship earth if there is anywhere convienient to pull over and see it.

There are so many blog posts about where to watch fireworks from outside the parks, so maybe someone has ideas about where to see this new light show.

The only place I can think of that you can see Spaceship Earth fully from ground level is from the Epcot Parking lot. If you are staying at Poly, you would have free parking and could drive over and try to find a good spot in the parking lot for a good view. You could also take the monorail from TTC to Epcot and ride it back and forth. You would at least get views during the route.

Someone else might know another spot that you could access from a car to see Spaceship Earth, but I cannot think of any really good views that would allow you to pull over and watch.

You could get a dinner ADR at Riviera or the Beach Club/Boardwalk area and then ride the skyliner between Riviera and Epcot and back. You can see Spaceship Earth really well from the skyliner.

Take the Monorail over and then walk back the ramp to go back on the monorail and just hang there to watch it. Not sure if that would be frowned on, but I think you might get a good view from there.

What time does the show run? Does Spaceship Earth light up all evening after dark, or is it a shorter show at a particular time?

We watched it at Riviera. Nice view on the Skyliner. It ran most of the night except while Harmonious was going.
