I liked it but at the same time was a little disappointed. I don't like cliff hangers. However I am excited to see how they handle things with the new season. I won't go into specifics so as not to spoil things for people who haven't seen it yet.
Overall I liked this season because this was the slowest read of the books for me. I wish they did a little more with the Lizzie triangle because that part was fun in the books, and her father was part of the story. I enjoyed her relay of events to Claire on how it "just happened".
I do love how Marsali Has become such a strong woman, I didn't like her early on but she has grown so much. I understood Fergus and really felt for him. He is supposed to be the strong man and the protector. His wife is attacked, he wasn't there and he lost his bearings. The emotions after Henri-Christian's birth hit home. My cousin's only child has Down Syndrome. He became a parent in his mid 40's and he went through so many emotions, including how can I be a protector.
Of course my favorite part as I rewatched the episodes was trying to figure out in which scene's Caitriona Balfe was showing. Supposedly some of the episodes were a little difficult because she was getting "big". They did a great job handling the pregnancy because it was hard to tell.
Oh well Droughtlander has begun yet again. Here's hoping it isn't as long as the last one.
