Outlander - Season 6 (No Spoilers - but episode discussions welcome after they air in PST)

So glad I found this thread. I'm assuming the guy whistling is from the future. Could it be the same guy that was there when Claire was being gang raped? I always wondered why Jamie never went into the future with Claire. They would be so much safer living in the 1960's than the 1700's.

Having read the books, it could be one of several people. I’m curious where they are taking it. Did everyone die at the gang rape or did some escape?

We are watching, but I don't enjoy the North Carolina story near as much so I keep finding myself bored and doing other things. I hope it picks up a little.

I think it could be Wendigo. I can't remember his last name but he was from the future. Jamie doesn't have the ability to time travel.

The one Indian from the future escaped, or it was thought he escaped. I know from the books he did escape. I know his first name was Wendigo but I can't remember his last name.

I am looking forward to the last couple of episodes to see how they play out knowing what happened in the books. I wish the season were longer and really hope the Droughtlander is shorter this time.

As a book reader and show watcher, this was one of the best episodes yet because it had so many snippets of the books! There were at least two people from the gang rape episode who were not killed (from the books) and one of them is the person whistling at the end of the episode. He is Wendigo Donner and (again from the books) is very relevant to something that is big that will be happening. Hope that explains, but is vague enough to not give away a major plot point :-)

I liked it but at the same time was a little disappointed. I don't like cliff hangers. However I am excited to see how they handle things with the new season. I won't go into specifics so as not to spoil things for people who haven't seen it yet.

Overall I liked this season because this was the slowest read of the books for me. I wish they did a little more with the Lizzie triangle because that part was fun in the books, and her father was part of the story. I enjoyed her relay of events to Claire on how it "just happened".

I do love how Marsali Has become such a strong woman, I didn't like her early on but she has grown so much. I understood Fergus and really felt for him. He is supposed to be the strong man and the protector. His wife is attacked, he wasn't there and he lost his bearings. The emotions after Henri-Christian's birth hit home. My cousin's only child has Down Syndrome. He became a parent in his mid 40's and he went through so many emotions, including how can I be a protector.

Of course my favorite part as I rewatched the episodes was trying to figure out in which scene's Caitriona Balfe was showing. Supposedly some of the episodes were a little difficult because she was getting "big". They did a great job handling the pregnancy because it was hard to tell.

Oh well Droughtlander has begun yet again. Here's hoping it isn't as long as the last one.

I agree about adding the layer of Lizzie's father. I guess they couldn't add another part to the story in only 8 episodes. I was glad to see that the Buggs were included in the story.

It broke my heart to see the house being destroyed by the bullets. Such a pretty house.

I'd hate the cliffhanger more if I hadn't read the books. My parents haven't read the books, but were at my house last night and my Dad had some interesting theories. I have to watch what I say to them because I don't want to spoil it for them.

I did the same thing, @tazdev3225. I keep trying to find scenes where they didn't hide Catriona's bump as well as in others.

Next season will be 16 episodes. I'm looking forward to it already!

Now, to watch from the beginning again. :)
