I think yesterday was the first day 12-15 year olds could be vaccinated. Which means the earliest they can be fully vaccinated is June 17 (2 weeks after second shot).

June 15 seems too early to implement something like this.

This seems like back-tracking and NOT a lift on restrictions for the state of California. What about CA residents who have a child who just turned 12 and they aren't comfortable with vaccinating them yet. On June 14 they will be allowed to enter, but after June 15 they suddenly aren't? This is going to cause a lot of problems (for CA residents mostly) if this is enacted.

I don’t want to derail this thread since it’s about OOS visitors, but so want to say this almost exactly our situation, however our 12-15 yr olds are getting vaccinated. Today. So while they’ll have both doses before our trip, they won’t be fully vaccinated until 6/19. Our trip is 6/12-6/16, so under this idea, they’ll be able to go 3 days, but not the last 2. But our youngest will be because she’s not eligible and we can be we’re already fully vaccinated.

I’m hoping a grace period is given where they’ll just be required to still wear their masks, but not denied entry all together.

Agree 100%. And you bring up a scenario I haven’t even thought of - those who aren’t yet age eligible, but will be (but not long enough) prior to their trip.

I’ll be totally fine if they require it for 16+. But I still think it needs to be with enough time between announcement and implementing for people who held out to get it.

It seems like common sense that allocations will be made for kids younger than 12 who can't get the vaccine, I would be extremely shocked if it turns out not to be the case, but I am truly excited by the prospect of all other adults being required to be vaccinated before being allowed to visit Disneyland.
I would not even consider a trip to Disney World at this time for that reason alone.

It also allowed me to purchase tickets when I booked a package at Disneyland hotel, not sure if that was possible before or not because I didn’t try. We aren’t going til Christmas of this year so hopefully by then the residency requirement will be lifted and if it’s not I’ll just cancel the package before the cancellation deadline.

It never asked if you were a California resident when buying tickets. It only asked when making a park reservation.

Ah okay. That makes sense. Well reservations don’t open up for my dates til October anyway so hopefully by then its open to non-residents.

Well this is interesting. I bought our tickets last week and it warned me about only California residents being able to go. I bought anyway because we just won't go until it opens for OOS people but didn't want to risk a price increase aming other things.

I just went to look because two in our group didn't purchase with the rest of us. Now it makes you choose your dates right after and I don't see a way to skip it. I tried both the app and webpage.

Can anyone see a way to purchase tickets without making a reservation at this point?

Presumably you could just cancel the reservation after purchase and then not make a new one right away. I don’t think their intention was to make it so you can’t buy tickets ahead of time, but to ensure that reservations don’t “sell” out while you’re buying the tickets (happened to us).

It's looking pretty good that out of state folks can come after June 15th so your dates should work out.

Technically, you can't yet. You would have to click you are a CA resident if you do it now. Do with that what you want.
