Hi Dan, I just found this post (I haven't been on too much lately, funny how a 2 yr. old will do that, lol) and I'm so glad to hear that you're doing well. You are very much loved and appreciated here, and are in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow - neat technology. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better!

Hang in there Dan! :thumbsup2

I had to wear a heart monitor for a while but it was one of those big clumsy ones you had to attach with tape to your chest! I kept setting the thing off whenever I bumped into something or leaned over to put clothes away in drawers - very annoying!

Dan, that is a great update! And so awesome to hear you were able to visit with friends, don't they do wonders?:thumbsup2 Yes, technology is amazing, they have come so far. Please continue to give us lots of updates, especially when they read the results of the monitorring. Keep gettin healthy Dan, way to go!!:)

Dan, technology is just amazing. I'm glad it's helping you in your treatment. Keep us updated! And, Keep the Faith!

Sounds good to me! I am happy to hear it! You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, as always. I am amazed by that technology too. I have only seen those gigantic things--the blackberry size sounds so much better. Do you still have a WDW trip in the plans?

Sounds like they've got you hooked up pretty good. You've been in my thoughts and prayers that the Drs find what is up soon and get this fixed for you.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I was just thinking about you and wondering if there were any more updates. Sounds like things are going in the right direction and you are covering all of your bases. Take care and get to Disney as soon as you can!

Leave to you, Dan, to get the newest technology. Wireless. Hope it does not pick up signals from someone else or horrors, a passing plane. :rotfl:

Do you call them and then download the info, as I had to, or is that automatic as well? I live in the boonies and you live in a huge urban area so that might make a difference.

Keep taking good care of yourself. You have a lot of friends, including myself, who are rooting for you to be back at your peak soon.

BTW, if we are at DW at the same time I will gladly save you a seat for the parades.

I'm so glad you're feeling better:yay:

It's good to hear all seems to be going well. You've been in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad there are so many smart people out there who can invent all of these cool gadgets to help others live long and prosperous lives. Take it easy, and we'll look forward to hearing continued good updates!

Dan,

I hardly ever have time anymore to sit and enjoy the DIS boards, but when I do I always look to see if I can see one of your posts. Usually it's such great news with your children's marriages, the Grandchildren, Marie's great test results, your Disney trips full of pictures that I enjoy so much (I can't wait until you bring the grandchildren)!

So I was shocked to see you are having health problems and send you a big  It must be a very scary time for you and your family. Health problems are always so inconvenient aren't they LOL. I wish you the best of results with your monitor. I had to wear one and because of the glue on the probes on my skin I broke out in the hives, really itchy hives. After months of cardiologists and tests..my diagnosis was underweight, gain some weight. I eventually had no problems after that. I hope your irregulars are similarly simple to cure as well!

I'll keep you in my prayers Dan! And next time I log on I WANT SOME GREAT NEWS!:goodvibes

....Do you still have a WDW trip in the plans?
No trip at the moment, Bren. I guess maybe I should do that, get one in the planning stage. :cool1:

No, Linda, I do not have to all or do anything to send. It is automatically sending to the company in Texas, continually, 24 hours a day. It's like having a realtime EKG hooked up to me, constantly sending my readings. They compile the data daily and upload to my cardiologist here, so he is getting a daily summary of whatever my EKG said that day, all day. I am supposed to wear for one month. If I do feel anything, like chest pain, rapid pulse, out-of-breath with little or no exertion, etc, there is a button on the unit I can push. It beeps after 2 seconds, letting me know it sent a signal, it marks on readings that I was feeling something out of the ordinary, and they call me to make sure I am okay. I really am basically not even aware I have it on. It is excellent for what it is trying to accomplish.

And I will take you up on that parade reservation offer, if I am there when you are, Linda. :thumbsup2
How have you been feeling for the rest of the week, Dan? Hope you're doing well. :goodvibes
Hi again Lynne. I have been feeling real well, thanks. My pulse has been in the 55-65 range, normally was in the low 70's and BP has been around 90-100/55-65, normally around 120/80. The beta blocker, working to keep my heart rhythm regular, also lowers pulse and BP. Those are normally not a problem for me, so they are a bit on the low side, but within good range.

So, all in all, doing pretty well I guess. I do have a follow up with my internist this Friday and then the cardio doc in another two weeks. See where we go from here then I guess.

And I still owe you. :surfweb: (no coffee cup for me though like in that smilie, sure do miss that coffee :sad2: )

Dan,

.....Marie's great test results, your Disney trips full of pictures that I enjoy so much (I can't wait until you bring the grandchildren)!......After months of cardiologists and tests..my diagnosis was underweight, gain some weight. I eventually had no problems after that. I hope your irregulars are similarly simple to cure as well!....
Since you mentioned Marie and tests here, Lynn, just today Marie did have another routine colonoscopy, good for anyone, but with her history, and her dad having passed away years ago from colon cancer, even moreso. She got a good report, come back in 5 years. :cool1: Afterward, we enjoyed a nice late breakfast together at a nice local restaurant and she is now napping, wearing off the last remnants of the anesthesia they give for it.

I look forward to bringing the grandkids there too. Only Jeremy at the moment, 2 more due late summer. :yay:

And how I wish my diagnosis was underweight. :woohoo: That would be easy for me to remedy.

Once again, everyone, thanks for all the good wishes, thoughts, questions, PM's/emails. I really appreciate it.

Haven't been on the boards much lately so I am glad to see you're feeling better. Take care.

Yeah, give ME that underweight diagnosis... with a side of Krispy Kremes!!

Thanks for the update, Dan and hugs to you and your ever growing family!!

Michael sends a hug, too...
