Out of hospital and THANKS **Updates Post #63, #109, #136, #158**

How are you feeling this morning, Dan? Hopefully, even better than yesterday! :goodvibes

Hey there you!

Hoping that you are moving around and feeling stronger and better with each step. Just imagine that you are walking around the World Showcase and that there is a Mickey Bar waiting for you at the end or whatever you crave.

 Your EWP Gals!

How are you feeling this weekend Dan? Hope things are going well.

Whoa!!!!

I was just doing a Sunday afternoon check-in on the DIS, and I am just now reading about everything you have been through this week, Dan! I'm so sorry to hear you had such a scary week and to read about everything you've been through. I am so glad to hear all these positive updates to go along with your story though.

Nice that you're able to now be home and resting. You've had a pretty rough time these past few days by the sounds of things, and I sure hope that you're feeling back to your normal self soon. So nice that you had your family there with you this week. Take care, Dan!

Thinking of you.

Glad to hear you're home and doing well, Dan. I suppose the next time we get together for lunch neither one of us will be having cheeseburgers and fries. :thumbsup2

So glad you are doing well, Dan. Isn't modern medicine wonderful? To think they could shock you and you not remember it, it's amazing. Take care of yourself!

Sorry to hear that you were in the hospital Dan. Sounds like you were well taken care. Hope that your health continues to improve and that you are back to regular posting soon. Take care! :)

TC.

Time for a bit more update. I just finished here now, a few days late, responding to the PM's and emails I received these past days. And Lynne, :wave2: your reply here seems to remind me that I still have a reply due you from one I parked some weeks back. I will.

Let's see, I got home late Thursday. (Seems like a week of Saturdays Sundays to both Marie and me, we are both confused on the days, LOL). Friday I was good, just a bit tired, seemingly from the Nadolol beta blocker they have me on, maintaining rhythm, lowering pulse some and lowering blood pressure some. As my BP normally is fine, it is a bit on the low side now I guess, making me a bit tired. Otherwise pretty good.

I did detect some transient irregular rhythm with another BP/pulse monitor I have that also will detect irregular if present. And last night, we went to Chili's for dinner, with Natalie, Ken, Jeremy and Katlyn (Vince was on shift :() Before and after dinner, I had Katlyn, (as mentioned in the past, she is herself an ER RN) feel my pulse and she could detect a bit of irregular also. I asked her if another :faint: ER visit would be appropriate. Playing safe, she said she thought so.

So, when we left, Marie and I went home to pick up a few things, Natalie went home to drop off Ken and Jeremy and Katlyn went back to her place to drop off her car, with Natalie picking her up to come to the hospital. Marie and I left our place and headed there too. It was so nice having Natalie and Katlyn there again too. And Katlyn's knowledge is nice to have available.

So I was back where I was back last Tuesday AM. :confused3 Super quick entry, just like before, EKG on in minutes and then into an ER room and hooked up to more wires, tubes, cuffs and whatever. After about two hours there of monitoring, a call to the cardiologist I had been working with this past week and their normal observations and all, they did say I was having transient SVT (I think that is what is was) irregular rhythm. Not necessarily dangerous, as was irregular beat (atrial flutter) I had last week, along with the pulse of 140. :scared1: The cardiologist does want me to call and come in tomorrow though to get fitted for a heart monitor I can wear for a week-10 days to get a record of my daily readings, normal activities, over an extended time.

So, there's an update, better than I was, pretty good actually, all said. Maybe a little fine tuning needed yet.

But worst so far is not coffee. :surfweb: Sure do miss that. :sad2:

And again, everyone, I really do appreciate all your concerns, and continued good wishes and prayers, here as well as email/PM. It really means a lot to me, really does.

Dan, I'm so sorry to hear you are still having problems. Don't worry about wearing the monitor. I wore one for awhile years ago. It was akward, but not a problem otherwise. I think they are smaller now, so it shouldn't be bad.

I used to have extra heartbeats on a regular basis. At one time, they considered putting me on medication, but decided the medication could be more dangerous than the extra beats. Over time, they have become less frequent. I still feel them if I get really stressed or if I've had way too much caffine. I can sympathise with you because, even knowing that my extra beats were not dangerous, it wasn't a pleasant feeling.

Keep your chin up! It sounds like you've great people working with you to work through this. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

Wow! Glad Katlyn advised you to return and get checked out. Hopefully fine tuning will help quickly. How's Marie doing through all this?

I haven't had coffee since Monday. I want a cup do badly. And you know I drink what Eileen called "candy in a cup!" I miss my dessert for breakfast. :(

Aaaw, sorry to hear you had another trip to ER Dan . Hopefully with time and a little tweaking here and there they'll have you back to good as new soon. Our SonIL is a nurse and I agree it's such a comfort and nice to have a proffessional around to get their advise. Stay strong and keep the faith, remember, Dis'ners are a powerful bunch when we put our positive thoughts and prayers together. {{Hugs}} to Marie too! :flower3:

Continued good thoughts coming your way. Hopefully, there will be no more ER visits in your near future. It's hard to go without coffee, isn't it? Maybe after a few more days you will get used to it. :goodvibes

Ugh, I know that you're getting tired of this and want to get it resolved. Sometimes it does seem like medical care drags on and on but I'm sure that an answer will be found soon.

Hang in there Dan. Please keep on checking in when you can.

I've been gone, so I just heard about all this. My prayers to you and your family, Dan....

I am way late to this thread but still wanted to pass along my very best wishes.

Oh Dan, as you said, just some fine tuning needed. You'll get there!! Takes time to get all the meds and doses just right. Hope you feel back to your old self SOON!!! We're thinking of you--as always.:grouphug:
