Our very magical, very first trip to Disney World

So unfortunately after we got out of Monster's Inc it was pouring badly, we were all huddled under where you come out there and we had to wait there for about a half hour. We were pretty sick of the rain by this point and were not sure what we wanted to do. We had planned to be in the MK until the last minute before we were due to leave. But it wasn't HOT today and we were wet rats by this point and now cold. So we didn't feel too great. Oh and I didn't mention Manny was feeling alittle better, but he wasn't feeling too great walking around in the rain.

So we headed over for one last ride......... You guessed it , Haunted Mansion

This is our absolute favorite of all time!!!!!!!

We just love the HM so much, because there is so much to look at, every time you ride you find something new... PLus we are big Halloween people, so we LOVE THIS!!!! We can't wait to ride it next year during Mickey's not so scary Halloween party!!

So Lizzie was really wanting popcorn, she wanted it this week and I, again, wasn't leaving Disney without a huge bucket of popcorn.

So we got back to the hotel and were happy to be inside. Especially poor Manny.

2009_0519BO.jpg

Yes, thats a string of Marshmallow on his head!!

We set ourselves up at a big table and relaxed, there were alot of other people doing this as well, waiting for ME. So we weren't ready for lunch yet, so we went with ice cream

Anthony went in the arcade and spent about an hour in there. By the time he came out , we were all ready to go hang out outside for a little bit. It was still pouring of course.

We hung out out front for quite a while. Me and Manny were just relaxing and the kids were running around like animals.
We went back into the food court to have dinner before we left.

2009_0519CC.jpg

When we finally got our luggage and went back out to wait we started talking with another couple and their 2 kids, who were now all running around like animals with our kids. They lived about an hour from us, and we were heading to the same flight. Come to find out they were on the same flight as us coming to Disney as well. What are the odds?

So a Disney Cruise Line bus pulled up and we were excited to check it out.

When we got to the airport, I went to get us some drinks and there was a candy shop right near our terminal, so we pigged out on sour patch kids..

And Emily's purse from France is in this pic

Oh and Southwest can't do online check in from the hotel, so we were in boarding group C...... AHHHHHHHH Luckily they told us to get right in the family boarding line. Thank Goodness. So our friends joined us again in line and the kids were talking. The little boy who was about 3 or 4 was so cute. He was doing little tricks and I was telling him how cute he was. When we were boarding he kept calling back to us. Come on , come on, are you coming. He was too adorable.

The flight home was not as nice as the flight there. It was very bumpy and we couldn't take our seatbelts off the whole time. It started off ok, Me, Sam and Lizzie played Go Fish and then Sam played with her Princess set that she bought.

2009_0519DI.jpg

Emily and Anthony's ears hurt bad. And Manny, I thought he was going to cry, because he was sick, his ears and head hurt so bad on the plane. My ears hurt and Sam's did as well. Lizzie was fine, she slept the whole time, I had to wake here up to get off the plane, she didn't even wake up during the bumpy landing. She's too funny. Sam on the other hand fell asleep for a little bit, but woke up as soon as it started to land because of her ears. Wellllllllll, she also had to pee, very bad!!!!!! Oh, my word, I had to take her to the bathroom while we were landing. That wasn't fun!!!!

Well, we landed and everyone was happy to be on the ground. Our Limo driver was so nice, he was waiting right there at the baggage claim and helped us get our luggage. The little boy was crying and I went over to him and told him by and I was happy to meet him. Well he instantly stopped crying and was saying by to me and the girls. I'm glad I could make him stop crying for his poor tired parents!

We got home and it was so weird to be in a house, we went straight to bed and I don't really remember, but I think I was secretly happy to be home, nice and dry!!! Especially knowing it was going to rain all week there.

I'll finish up with posting my favorite things from the week and give any tips I can give!!!!

Great updates! I've been MIA for a few days so I had some catching up to do! I'm so sad the TR is over, but I'm looking forward to more wedding and Disney plans in your next PTR!! :bride:

The Main Street Bakery is so good! We ate there on this past trip as well..SO tasty! :goodvibes

Sounds like a tough flight home. That's not the greatest, but the flight home is never as good as the flight there! LOL!

I am glad that you got to ride Soarin'. We love that ride. I am also glad that the Paris purse was able to make up for the umbrella not being there. Thanks for sharing your trip. I hope you next trip is filled with perfect weather.

Don't be sorry about the rain, we only got it our last 2 and a half days, the rest of the week was perfect. We were just so glad we weren't getting there the week we left, they got rain all week after that.
And on the flight, yeah, I think we're going to drive next year.

I am glad that you got to ride Soarin'. We love that ride. I am also glad that the Paris purse was able to make up for the umbrella not being there. Thanks for sharing your trip. I hope you next trip is filled with perfect weather.

Oh, I am so glad we got to ride Soarin, and of course I wish Anthony could have rode too. That was a special night with Emily and Lizzie, that we'll never forget. Because we're such a big family when it's just 2 or a few of us, it ends up being very special time spent.

Well, looking back on everything now, I think I did a wonderful job planning our first trip. We did so much that we will never forget!!!! Disney World isn't just about the parks. My advice to everyone is to take the time to do all of the other little things that Disney has to offer. There is so much!!! We didn't get to rent the Surrey bikes this time, because it was too hot when we discovered them and that was 2 days before we left, so it never got done. But that is on our must do list for next year. My kids still talk about the boat that Dad got to drive in DTD, that wasn't just fun, it was special. I think of how much fun we had on the rides and the attractions and meeting the characters, and although they of course talk about their favorite rides and characters I think the memories of the little, special things we did are even stronger. Like the night just Me, Emily and Lizzie ran back to Epcot in the rain to buy her one last souvenier from France:goodvibes The first night when it rained from 6pm on and we ran back to the bus stop from MK and came back to our rooms and ordered pizzas up to the rooms. We put the table in one room into the other and made a big table where Me, Manny Sam and Lizzie sat, and Emily and Anthony were sprawled out on their beds eating pizza. Wonderful Night!!! And that was our first night so we were so tired from the flight, that was such a comfy and enjoyable night:cloud9: The night we came back from Epcot and it was warm. We got ice cream inside our food court and sat outside at a table by the pool and ate our ice cream while we listened to music play:lovestruc Our Hollywood Studios day which was cut short because it was SUPER HOT was spent for the most part in the pool. Well Emily was teaching Lizzie how to swim. Emily, who for the most part at home torments her sister on a daily basis.
