Our very magical, very first trip to Disney World

We are big fans of Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin as well. I'm terrible at it but it's so much fun!

Too bad it started to rain...UGH! Those are some expensive ponchos. :scared1:

The princess pictures are great. You saw Snow White...my fave! :thumbsup2

Where to next?? popcorn::

Sorry you had so much rain! The children look like they are having a good time anyway, and that is what is important!

I wanted to get back to Mickey's house, because on the first day, we saw Minnie's but for some reason Sam wanted to go in Mickey's so bad. I told her we'd come back. So this was the perfect time to tour his house.

We got to his house and this nice CM was blowing bubbles, even Anthony was popping them, it was too cute.

After we went in his backyard, it took us to another tent, where Mickey was waiting inside.

Anthony, watching an old fashioned Mickey Mouse cartoon. I thought this was so cute, he watched this cartoon for about 8 minutes while we waited to go in.

2009_0517EQ.jpg

So when we got in we got a surprise, Minnie was there too!!! She motioned for us to take our ponchos off, Ugh, that's alot of work when they're all wet.

2009_0517ET.jpg

After leaving there, we went to the little play area across from his house. The kids had fun over there for about 15 minutes. I was discouraged about the rain, but it looks like the kids thought it was great. When do we get to play in the rain at home? So it was then I started to enjoy myself as well. If they were happy , I was happy.

After this we headed back over to Fantasyland, I figured, that offered the most inside rides. So first we hit Winnie the Pooh, which the kids really wanted to go on. We got fastpasses for it the first day, but never got to it.

I thought this ride was too cute, I loved the music that was playing. After Pooh, we jumped on the Cinderella's Golden Carousel. Sam loves carousels.

It was getting late now, it was about 9:30 and they kept announcing that wishing was postponed , of course. It was thundering too!!!!! We really wanted to watch it, but what are you gonna do!!!

Short of that, they wanted to go on Haunted Mansion again, so we did that, and then started to walk back towards the castle, the rain and thunder were not letting up, so we decided to call it a night. Emily and Anthony could have stayed all night in the rain. But Lizzie and Sam looked like little wet rats and they were getting chilly, and I knew we had a cold ride home on the bus.

So pretty it was, just standing there changing colors

2009_0517FN.jpg

When we got back, it took all of 10 minutes for this to happen

2009_0517FP.jpg

Next up is our 2nd Epcot day. This day was not a total washout either, we got in a few good hours before the rain returned.

Looks like you were able to make the best of it even with the rain! Love the picture with Mickey and Minnie!

I'm glad you didn't let the rain bring down your vacation!! Emily loved playing in the rain too, she could care less that she was getting wet although it never really rained hard while we were there, just a few springles!

Every year, when we go to WDW, it rains on us. We bring our Disney ponchos back from year to year. We have found that they usually last about three trips. So, if you haven't gotten rid of them yet, don't. Bring them back with you.

I see that you didn't let the dumb ole' rain stop your park touring. We don't either. In fact, while others are huddled inside a shop, we are seeing attractions.

Looking forward to reading more of your adventures.

I am glad your kids had fun even though it was raining. I would not have enjoyed having to spend that much on ponchos but they did look cute in your pictures. I guess its worth the money to be able to stay at MK longer.

Oh, yes the money for the ponchos was well worth it, I didn't cringe over the price even once. Ok, well maybe when I was handing over the money, but after that I was fine. I knew if we didn't have them we wouldn't have been able to do half of what we did those last 2 rainy days. Our next day coming up is Epcot and we had them on all day. Then our last day, which was back at MK, we had them all day too, but this day was heavy rains. It gets to the point for me though that not even ponchos can make you happy if the rain is that bad. I'm glad it was our last day that those rains came in. My kids looked like little pathetic wet animals on our last day.;) I felt bad! I laugh now looking at the pics but while we were in it, it wasn't too funny.

Oh, I forgot to add that I love your Tiffany blue/aqua color scheme for the wedding! That is my favorite color. I even painted Emily's room that color!! can't wait to hear more wedding details!:bride:

I thought we had gone into the park for a few hours before the rain started but looking at the pics now, I realize that that did not happen, it started raining on the bus ride over.

I think we slept in a little bit this day, and went down to the foodcourt for some breakfast and hopped on the bus around 11:00am.

2009_0518AD.jpg

2009_0518AH.jpg

I love this pic of Lizzie looking out the bus window

2009_0518AI.jpg

As soon as the bus was pulling up to Epcot the rain started ,but it was light drizzly on and off rain, it was very tolerable, we still had a good day. So we got off the bus and got our ponchos out and were ready to go.

2009_0518AK.jpg

We figured we'd head into the innoventions pavilion to keep dry for a little while. It was pretty neat.

2009_0518AL.jpg

We tested our strength

2009_0518AP.jpg

And then walked by the StormStuck line and said "that looks interesting" the kids were interested so it was a go.

2009_0518AT.jpg

2009_0518AU.jpg

We were in a room with walls that looked like you were right in someone's backyard

2009_0518AX.jpg

This was so neat, it recreated a storm and how hurricanes rip roofs off of houses and just blow swingsets away. There were big gusts of wind coming out at us and sprinkles of rain (like we needed more of that LOL)
By the time we were done checking out a few more things inside we came out and the rain has stopped for the time being so we headed over to the World Showcase, Emily was ready to go to France!!!

I'll continue in the next post

Ok, i'm sorry I just posted a crapload of pics and stories and my laptop told me i'm not connected to the internet. UGH:headache: I'm not going to attempt it again, i'll repost it again in the morning.

But we head to WS, visit France, Morocco, and Japan. We have a Princess meet, lunch in Japan, and we Pick a Pearl!!!

Although it rained this day, this was hands down one of our favorite days!!!

And wait until you hear what happens this night. (don't worry nothing bad, just a little craziness)

Hey Pam!! I think I'm all caught up now, been off and on for a while, mostly off...lots of stuff going on, DH advancing, my Aunt Judi having a heart attack, end of school, WORK, DH going camping, and now we're getting ready to get DSD from Jacksonville for a week!! I gott finish up my TR, don't ya just LOVE rain? NOT!! We had our ponchos on the WHOLE TIME! It got old. I hope it don't rain in Sept!! But, I absolutely LOVE your TR, Keep it coming!!!

Hi Pam! Looks like the you guys made the most of the rain. We had to do that too. I think your kids look cute in their ponchos. I like the shirts they had on when you went to see Mickey's house. Those are really cute.

I did a huge update the other day and the site or computer froze up and I lost everything. That stinks. :headache: Can't wait to see your next update! :thumbsup2

What a fantastic day!!! Seriously, your children are so adorable - always smiling, always having a great time :goodvibes Innoventions look cool - we didn't really get in there last time. I'm sorry it rained on you, but it sure looks like you made the most of it!

Fantastic picture of all four kids with Mickey and Minnie - that's a framer! :thumbsup2

Hi Pam!

I don't think I ever responded to your MK post. Oops! Your girls are fabulous...they don't seem to be bothered a bit by the rain....good for them!

That pic of the 4 kids with Mickey and Minne is awesome! SO glad you took the time to take off the ponchos!

Epcot is our favorite park..we'd never done Innoventions before this trip. My kids really enjoyed it. We didn't do the storm one, but we did do a fire safety activity that was pretty fun!

I wanted to say that I've been having a great time reading your trip report. You seem to have had a lovely time and you have a beautiful family! I'm getting a kick out of watching Anthony as the week progresses. If you look at the pictures with characters early in your TR, he seems a bit aloof, as if to say "I'm waaaay too cool for this," but he's getting more and more into it as your TR progresses. Ah the magic of Disney! :wizard:

Hi,
Your family looks so adorable....The excitement must have been awesome.
Glad you had a terrific trip..

Love the update :thumbsup2. It is really annoying to go through all the trouble of uploading and updating and it just goes poof grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I did the same thing last night. Keep your udates and great pictures coming.

Ok, i'm hoping that I don't have any more problems with this silly laptop!!! I'm sitting up at 2 am, I can't sleep, so i figured i'd give this another try.

So we left off leaving Innoventions, we were on our way to the World Showcase. Emily could not wait to get to France.

2009_0518BA.jpg

2009_0518BC.jpg

Anthony spotted this when we first walked in to France. I love this pic.

2009_0518BG.jpg

So we went in to the gift shop and Emily was in heaven, she bought herself and Eiffel tower keychain and she posed to take French pictures, she's too funny.

2009_0518BI.jpg

2009_0518BJ.jpg

They all got a pressed penny from France, they all really enjoyed doing this, I think I'm going to make it more of a collection next year, with whole bunch of quarters and pennies for each child. We probably have about 8 or 9 total, but we want more next year.

2009_0518BM.jpg

We then went and got a mask, they sat for a little while and decorated them. Again this is something we're going to do more of next year. We didn't start the masks on our first day, so we only got to add to them in a few different countries, which is Ok, it was really neat to speak with the CMs from different countries at all of the kidcot areas.

2009_0518BR.jpg

2009_0518BU.jpg

Emily's picture she couldn't wait to get with the Eiffel tower in the background.

2009_0518BW.jpg

Then into Morocco. This country was just so real looking, walking through there felt like we were really in another country, too neat!!!!

2009_0518BY.jpg

We headed into the back and walked into the area where Jasmine usually was, it was empty so we checked it out and just as we were leaving, who was coming in....

2009_0518CE.jpg

We went into the kidcot area and decorated some more of our masks, and the CM in there was the best, he was just so good with the kids. They enjoyed talking to him.

2009_0518CF.jpg

2009_0518CH.jpg

Next we were headed to Japan!!!! And we were also ready for lunch, so we figured we'd try Yakitori House.

2009_0518CK.jpg

We got an outside table and the view was very nice. The kids really enjoyed trying to eat with chopsticks. Emily and Sam were the first to give up, but Lizzie and Anthony kept at it for quite a while.

2009_0518CM.jpg

2009_0518CN.jpg

I can't say the food wasn't good, because i'm sure it was, we just didn't really like that kind of food. Lizzie is so funny though , really she likes anything, I didn't hear one complaint from her, she ate her whole dish. Me and the other 3 picked at it enough to be full, even picky Emily and then piled in the Ginger cake. If you eat at this restaurant you HAVE to have the ginger cake. It was so good, I would do anything for some right now!!!!!

Well, I have to upload some more pics from the rest of our day. There are some more interesting things to come. Like the things our kids will make us do??????? And i'll leave you with that for tonight. I'm going to press this button right now and I better be connected to the internet with this damn laptop!!
