Let's see if I can do this right ;)
Cast:
Me: Kelly
Hubby: Mike
Son: Trent - age 5
Daughter: Mikaela - age 2
Brother: James - 21 yrs
My parent - Mema & Papa (2nd trip)

May 22nd & 23rd - spent driving to Orlando. Stopped in Byron, GA overnight. Arrived to our destination in Orlando - my parent's timeshare - Sunshine Resort II and checked in at 3pm. Ate dinner across the street at Whistle Junction - great themed buffet and grill. Highly impressed with service and variety of food, including grilled to your "doneness" steaks. Went to the Sand Lake Road Superwalmart and got groceries and some souvenirs. Went swimming in the pool.

May 24th - I made everyone get up bright and early so we could be at Epcot by opening. I'm so glad that we decided to make this our first park. Parked in AAA Diamond lot and arrived just at opening and was able to get character autographs right away. It was a wonderful to start the day with my kids. Got fast-passes for Test Track, group rode Mission Space in the Standby line which was only 5 minutes, went back for Test Track with a fast pass wait of 10 minutes. Walked through Innoventions and kids played on playground. At 11:00 AM, went to World Showcase.
Rode the Mexican Boat ride, then walked around to get Fish & Chips from UK, while other half of group stopped at Tangerine Café to eat. Watched the American Adventure. Walked all of World Showcase, stopping at stores and doing all of the Kidcot Fun Stops. Also saw many characters. Skipped most of the movies, because the kids didn't want to sit. While in UK, we visited with Winnie the Pooh and Mary Poppins, watched the streetshow. In Japan, we went through the Tin Toy exhibits and watched the drummers. We spent a LOT of time watching the miniature train in Germany, as well as spending money in the candy store! While in Morocco, we saw Jasmine & Aladdin, they picked up Mikaela and held her for a long time since we were the only people there for awhile. Mikaela has such dark eyes & hair, that she could have passed as their own child! We made it around to ride Maelstrom and then headed back to Futureworld.
Went to Honey I Shrunk the Audience, the Living Seas & Spaceship Earth. Left Epcot around 7:30pm because everyone was very crabby and tired.

May 25th - I made everyone get up earlier today because we had a PS for CRT at 9:15AM. Made it to the turnstiles by 8:40am and ended up watching the opening show and rushing in to the castle at opening. Waited 15 minutes to be seated for CRT and was thrilled with the meal and Character interaction. The most thrilling for me was watching Mikaela in her Tinkerbell Costume smile at all of the Princesses. My mom was so excited to have her picture taken with Mary Poppins too. Once finished with breakfast (those vouchers came in handy!), we went into Tinkerbell's Treasures, and made our way through Fantasyland. Rode Cinderella’s Carousel, got Fast Passes for Winnie the Pooh, went to Toontown and went into the houses, while guys rode the Barnstormer & Indy Speedway. Rode Winnie the Pooh. Went to get Fastpass for Buzz Lightyear. Rode the Carousel of Progress and Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Used fastpass on Buzz Lightyear. Guys went on Space Mountain twice (once w/ fastpass), while the rest of of went on Dumbo, then to Liberty Square and shopped and watched the Share a Dream parade. Then we rode the Haunted Mansion, ate at Pinocchio’s Village Haus and shopped more. Waited in line for Winnie the Pooh again. We found a seat for the Spectromagic parade at 9:00PM. Rode the ferry back to the Ticket and Transportation Center, then drove back to hotel.

May 26th - Nobody wanted to get up early.....Arrived at Downtown Disney approx 10AM and walked through the stores, buying pins, fan mister and more. Stopped at World of Disney and bought picture frames, hat and scrapbook supplies. Had ice cream from Ghiradellis and bought Legos from Legoland.
Went to MGM Studios approx 1:30PM and watched Muppetvision 3D and Indiana Jones, then ate at the ABC Commissary. We then went to Playhouse Disney, watched the parade, and watched the Little Mermaid show. Meanwhile, the guys went on the Tower of Terror and Star Tours. We bought the kids more souvenirs and did the character signings. Then the guys went on the Backlot tour and we left by 8:00PM.

May 27th - Arrived at Epcot at 11:00AM and went straight to the World Showcase via ferry. Ate lunch at Morocco & Japan. Then rode ferry back and rode Spaceship Earth again. Picked up family pics taken earlier in the day. Rode Monorail to Magic Kingdom. Arrived approx 2:00PM. Rode Pirates of the Carribbean, Jungle Cruise, Aladdin’s Carpets. Guys left to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, while we had Dole Whips. We separated so we could see Mickey Mouse, while the others shopped. After going into the Judges Tent to see Mickey, we went to the castle and watched the Cinderella’s Surprise show while those that missed the Dole Whips got some. We shopped down Main Street after taking family pics in front of castle. Then rode Monorail back to Epcot about 7:00pm. We ate Dinner at Sweet Tomatoes near our resort.

May 28th - check out, Stopped by Superwalmart again to pick up any last souvenirs and drove to Tampa to check in. Went to Madeira Beach for the afternoon
May 29th - Check out, drove to Chattanooga, check in
May 30th - check out - Arrive home just in time to take cover from bad storms - there were 8 tornadoes spotted in our metro area.

Overall, I am still trying to piece everything together and want to plan our next trip already. I loved it SOOOOO much and have now caught the Disney bug, with the help of everyone here at DISboards. My mom and dad were SO surprised by how I knew about things to try and what to do. When they went in 2000, they had absolutely no idea that there was so much more than the rides and stores.
The overall highlights of the trip were:
CRT - I would gladly call at 6AM (our time) every morning to relive that breakfast. Everyone was so pumped from being there that we had a great day. My little girl had refused to wear her Tinkerbell Costume for the past 6 months, even for her Tinkerbell Birthday party, but once we got to the castle and she saw all of the other girls wearing their dresses, she refused to take it off.
Spectromagic - We weren't going to stay but couldn't get out fast enough either, so we ended up with first row seats on Main Street. The kids sat the entire parade with their mouths wide open. I only wish we would have had the stamina to make it to Wishes.
Tangerine Cafe - we used Q&C vouchers and were shocked with the amount of food we had. It was delicious!
Disney CMs - Almost all were so delightfully helpful and always there when you needed someone.
Mikaela chasing the ducks on Main Street. She had an apple in one hand and was making a "quacking" motion with the other while chasing 2 ducks around the Walt statue.
My favorite line from a character last week was: Trent, my son, was being a bit ornery - not wanting to get Alice's autograph. So Alice turned to him and said "My, aren't you a bit cheeky today! What did you have for breakfast?" When he told her that he ate breakfast with the Princesses - she said "Well, that's the problem now, isn't it". Trent just stood there, while hubby and I were laughing
:teeth:
So to our next trip - whenever that may be.......:wave2:

Wow Kelly what a great trip, you did so much, and it sounds like everyone had a great time. We were at some of the Parks the same time you were...it sure was hot, don't know how you had the staying power, we would wimp out and head back to the pool during the early afternoon.

Thanks for sharing
Beckie

Reading your trip report brought back very happy memories of our first trip with DS and DD. They are both teenagers now, but the summers we spend at WDW are truly magical and a time when we are all in sync with each other.
