I think I need your kids around so they can tell my hubby where he can smoke. He doesn't seem to like to follow the rules, either. So, did that guy move?

The man that was smoking put out his cigarette.He was smoking there because he didn't want to lose his place in line.

Epcot

The alarm goes off at 7:30am and its 7:45am before I manage to drag myself out of bed.I get ready and then wake the kids,giving Rachel a bath before getting her dressed for her Princess breakfast.This is when we have our first drama of the day.When planning for this trip I asked Bekah if she wanted to dress up for the princess meal.She replied "absolutely NOT".I should have known she would change her mind. Oh, well too late kiddo.I did put her hair in a bun and put her new tiara in it.
(it would have looked better without the pink shirt but she insisted)

We all had a snack of poptarts and cereal bars since our ADR wasn't until10:15am.We were out the door at 8:15am and we drove to Epcot.We parked and were through bag check and entered just as they were lowering the ropes.

Peyton and I went ahead so that we could get fastpasses and the rest of our group came more slowly.Peyton went down the steps while I took the escalator.I walked up to him and he was already getting the fastpasses.He had a panicked look on his face and I immediately saw what was wrong.

He had a woman behind him huffing and talking VERY loudly about how "this kid" was holding her up and some other nonsense.Well he had gotten flustered trying to hurry and dropped the cards.He had to start over ,not knowing which ones he had done and she yelled "OMG!!I CAN'T believe this!!". I told him, loud enough for her to hear, for him to take his time that there was no reason that an extra two minutes was going to ruin someone's vacation.Just as we were getting done(the whole scene couldn't have taken more than three minutes) she started yelling at her DD to "get in the d**n line without her that these STUPID people were taking ALL day!".The DD couldn't have been more than five years old! The poor thing was standing there crying when we left the fastpass machines.Now I know that if my DH or BIL had been with me they would have never let this go but I am very nonconfrontational and just wanted to get Peyton out of there.He looked like he was going to burst into tears and was "chewing" and "pealing" at the same time.

Everyone but GP goes to get in the standby line (I noted it was 9:06am in my notes) and the CM asks to measure Rachel and she keeps ducking under it! We finally get her to stand staright and after a short wait it is our turn.Soarin' is GM's favorite ride but I think its just "okay".Peyton doesn't care if he rides it or not and Rebekah thinks its "pretty cool". Rae likes it (its her first time) but halfway through she says " this is pretty,can we go see the princesses now?"

We get off and try to ride Figment but its not running because of technical difficulties.GM,GP and the girls walk toward WS and Akershus while Peyton and I speed walk over to Test Track for fast passes.Peyton gets the fast passes without any interference this time and we walk toward WS via the walkway next to first aid.We pass several small groups talking excitedly and then we see why...Dream Team! OMG are we going to get our first dream??!!

I though about stopping the update here....


We do!They give Peyton and I YOAMD lanyards with two pins on them.I believe Peyton thanked them a dozen times and hugged them. I ask to take their picture with Peyton

and then we practically run to share the news with the rest of our group.I give Rebekah my lanyard and then we check in for our breakfast.

next up...my princess meets up with other princesses and she asks the question "mama,WHO is THAT?"

Great Update! I would have done the same thing as you at the FP machines. Miserable people are just going to be miserable - you just happened to be standing in front of her that day! Unfortunately she took it out on poor Peyton!

Oh Amy that woman sounds horrible, Jess really loved getting the FP's well sometimes they both fought over them and had to do 2 each But she was nasty and making her own DD cry too I'm with you though I'm not confrontational, it doesn't do any good so why bother

You know me, I would have kicked the living you know what outta that lady. Nobody messes with the kids. Good for you for keeping your cool, though. I would have been thrown out of Epcot for sure.

At least Peyton had his day made by those dream passes. Yay for Dream team to the rescue!

Did you say breakfast at Akershus? Ugh...hope it was good.
