Our Thanksgiving Fantasy - Nov 22-Dec 1 - COMPLETE!!

Day 7 Part 1 Thanksgiving.

Navigators for this day.

We slept as late as possible on this morning. DH and I got up and went to Cove Café for coffee and Cabanas for breakfast. It was chilly and windy up on deck and the boat was rolling a little more than it was previously.

An announcement was made that we were changing course and heading to Miami due to a medical emergency and that we would be moving faster than they usually would.

I did not take many pictures on this day - Only 30 or so. We woke up the kids around noon and DS took off to meet up with his friends. DH took DD up to get something to eat while I tidied up some.

When they got back, DD and I went to see Frozen again. Her third time and my second. We enjoyed our movie and we looked in the shops afterward for a while, but didnt get anything.

I took a few more photos around the ship.

We headed back to the room and someone from our Fish Extender group came by to give me a special gift for organizing everything.

It was very nice and thoughtful and I enjoyed the gift. We relaxed mostly until dinner - Thanksgiving Dinner.

I hope they keep the Frozen meet and greet with Anna around! We sail in April and my daughter would be thrilled!! Love your Trip report!!

I have heard she is already gone or leaving soon. I am bummed as i hoped we would see her in March.

Great updates. I love the pirate menu, but we plan to do a 3 nighter in March at this point, so i will miss out on it.

I hate the last day it seems to come up so fast!!!

DD enjoyed meeting her very much.

I like pirate night. It is fun to dress up for it.

This is day 7 of our trip - day 6 of the cruise. We have one more day - Castaway Cay - on the boat and two more in the parks. I will say that it was literally the fastest 10 days of my life though.

That gingerbread house is so cute!

Bummer for the medical emergency. I wonder how often that happens on a cruise.

What a lovely gift for organizing the fish extender. I love it! :goodvibes

**** Drool *****

Too bad you missed out on the Pirate night fireworks, but I can't say as I blame you. Sore, swollen ankle + windy night + rocking boat = bad time. I would have hunkered down for the night myself.

I like the sampler thingys too. We'll have to make plans to visit Spice Road Table together next time we're at WDW together. Looks like they have all kinds of sampler thingys.

It smelled amazing as well.

I dunno. We heard it was a crew member with breathing troubles. I wondered why they didn't just get a helicopter, but we were heading straight towards Miami in open water.

Yes, I thought it was very thoughtful.

It was so windy that I was surprised they did them. I saw them last time.

Sounds like a good plan. I love the tapas style of dining,

Your dessert trio from Enchanted Garden looks really good!

I look forward to see what the ship created for Thanksgiving dinner!

I will post it tomorrow, but - really - it was nothing super special. We enjoyed it though.

Joining in! I just got caught up. I love hearing everything about your trip. We are hopefully going on our first Disney cruise next year around the same time. I think seeing all the Christmas decorations would be wonderful. Loving it and can't wait to hear more!

:welcome: Thanks so much for stopping by !! I really enjoyed the Christmas decorations. It really got me pumped for the upcoming season.

Love the photo of you and Charlotte Singedskull!

I would have thought they would bring in a helicopter for an emergency, also.

All. Caught up ! Those pictures of Hannah on the aqua duck are GREAT !

She wouldn't ride it last April. But this time we couldn't get her off of it.

All caught up!! Great report and great pics!! Makes me excited for my Fantasy Cruise next February!!!! :cool1:

Thanks. February seems like a good time to go. Everything is do dreary in February. A cruise would be a great mid-winter pick me up.

Love the photo of you and Charlotte Singedskull!

Yep. Exact same outfit and things she got from the Pirate's League.

I would have thought they would bring in a helicopter for an emergency, also.

We were wondering why they didn't call one. I couldn't tell you why. Perhaps because they were in international waters. Perhaps it was too windy. Perhaps they had to get within a certain distance of the US and it was so close they figured they might as well just dock. I don't know. I do know that I was super impressed with their ability to parallel park that ship in that Miami dock. Considering the size of the ship and the limited space they had to maneuver, we were in a and out of there pretty quick.

Day 7 – Part 2

When I last left off, we were relaxing in the room, waiting for dinner time to roll around. It did finally, and we all headed down to Enchanted Garden again for Thanksgiving Dinner. DS was REQUIRED to be there on this night.

I can’t find any menu item descriptions online, so you are going to have to deal with mine basic descriptions.

We got rolls and cornbread

I apparently had a salad for starters.

DD got what she always gets.

DH got some shrimp

We ordered some more Rosa Regale

I got the Thanksgiving feast for dinner. It was turkey and all of the fixins as you can see.

It was very good. Just what I wanted on this evening. DH got the same.

DS got Ham

For dessert, I got Cheesecake. I think one of the layers was pumpkin.

DH had an apple tart

We enjoyed our dinner very much. I understand that there was lobster, though. I am allergic, so I didn’t pay much attention to it. But other people seemed excited by it.

Ship photographer photos.

After dinner, I headed back to the room just in time to see us dock in Miami.

It was impressive how they parallel parked that huge ship. We watched the sick crew member being taken off the ship and taken away in an ambulance and just like that – we were off again. On the way to Castaway Cay which was our destination for the following day.

I quite enjoyed the Miami skyline.

GREAT pictures of you and your family!! I would have had a hard time choosing thanksgiving feast over lobster. I love lobster. But on a cruise, I could ask for both! Loving your TR!

I'd go with the turkey for Thanksgiving, but my usual holiday meal would be about three times that portion!

Very cute family photos!

That parking is impressive. I can't even parallel park my car.
