Our "stroller as wheelchair" experience

I am sorry to hear about your bad luck. I am sure the weather was irritating ,but that's no reason to take it out on others. If you have state assistance for your child you should look into getting your own stroller since they are roughly $3000.00. I am not a germaphob, but certain things I like knowing that I am the one that has maintained and cleaned it.

We also have a convaid cruiser. I love it and don't know what we would have done without it the past 4 years(DD8). We have never had major issues with other guest or cm's although I believe it can happen. Our next trip is this november so hopefully we will encounter the same luck.

We actually have our own Maclaren Major. We just couldn't fit it in my in-laws car with luggage for 5 people.

Next time we are taking my Santa Fe and no in-laws, LOL.

ecki - you stated you had a sunshade that you brought from home. We are renting a Maclaren Major for our DS8 who has Autism on our upcoming Oct. trip. What kind of sunshade did you use? I know that is something he's going to miss from the WDW rentals we've used in the past.

Since we have a Maclaren Major, we brought the sunshade that goes with it as an acccessory from home. It's a pain because it doesn't fold so it's very bulky. You could always ask the rental people if they can provide a sunshade (and if you need a 5 point harness, apparently you have to ask for that, too).
